- Returning to Borderlands 3, I did so with the help of the postal service and the fine folks at some questionable manufacturers. With them and not a single real world sponsor in sight, Moze fought her way through poverty and the difficulties of surviving mundane life in the Borderlands.
It also felt like a good excuse to finally getting around to the DLCs, and they were a mixed bag, but I'm glad to have done them. Overall, I think they were better than the base game storywise. Gameplaywise... I miss shields.

Jokes aside, that plot of gun corporations sponsoring Vault Hunters is much more interesting and funnier than the original game plot line.

Any and every barely touched on side plot point or story telling not involved with claptrap or the main story would make for a better story than we got.

To my understanding, your second interpretation of Psychoreaver is the correct one: Psychoreaver is the representation of the madness that all Psychos in the Borderlands universe carry in their mind. However, Krieg managed to dissociate from it, creating two separate identities, one that would bear the onslaught of all the trauma, pain and psychosis, and another who would retain whatever humanity was left within him.
It's important to keep in mind that the psycho madness is heavily implied to not be a naturally occuring mental condition, but rather something that was originally caused by prolonged exposure to the eridian ruins on Pandora that has since somehow started to spread.
The logical question to follow, how many other people have managed to avoid it through some form of coping? And given the nature of the vault monsters, is the most eldritch horroresque thing within the games the existence of these bandits as a whole? Because while brain damage can be caused by a lot of things, they don't tend to create the exact same sort of giant angry monster within your head. And it'd be hard to explain a mass outbreak of a spreading mental disorder without some outside factor. Also, while I haven't spent a lot of time studying the specific condition, I would imagine such a severe disorder would be consistent across the different personalities. Unless alien space magic, of course.
@@SpuddyCube Interesting questions indeed, though I don't think they're currently covered by the lore. It is possible that Krieg represents a unique case as he is not only a psycho but also was the subject of brutal experiments, that may have had an additional impact on his mind.

Oh hey its the run I suggested! For the record the reason Torgue sent you a lvl10 gun is they just dont spawn at lower levels than that for non-preset guns

@SpuddyCube left a main comment about it, but it might be good to put another one more noticeable. Gearbox nerfed ALOT of guns and manufacturers in the first few years of BL3, that's why Tediore and a bunch of the red text guns across the board feel so bad to play with. They all got nerfed because they were too popular and gearbox wanted players to use a larger variety in their non competitive shooter.
11:10 Great news! Given katagawa also blows up several civilian maned recreational facilities, this can fall under "tu quoque" (or you too) a warcrimes defence that is basically "I know you are but what am I" so this would hold up in court!
Doing a little searching, I found some pages talking about the defense, and mostly found it to be thrown out. One notable case being one Klaus Barbie for crimes against humanity. I am still curious about cases where it has been publicly upheld.
It's both funny and tragic in a sense that the defense has been around for as long as it has.

your story telling through out a run is incredible
this isn't just a challenge run it's a whole new ~~and honestly~~ better story then the actual game
1. Mandatory info for the "Angels and speed demons" quest: You can just speedrun the whole map in a cyclone, and only respawn the slooooooow Vaughn technical right before the end of map. You can do a similar thing with the golden technical, but it's not that big of a deal there
2. Part about the main campaign was a small masterpiece of script writing, enjoyed every second of it

I absolutely want to continue as long as I'm able. Hearing about the joy I've gotten to bring to people's lives through these for even just a little bit at a time has been more rewarding than I can accurately put into words. I'm beyond grateful for folks taking the time to watch anything that I produce.
I actually have been tempted to do dumb little things like cooking videos mostly as a joke of sorts, but I'm not quite sure how I'd put something like that together. Whatever I make, I want to be sure that it'll be worth taking said time. At least doing so to the best of my ability.

@@SpuddyCube Indeed. But to lean into the degeneracy I'll sell everything earned from my day job to fuel my habits. It should create a good balance between grinding the machines for mission gear and grinding the missions for gambling money.

Tediore reloads used to be awesome. Unfortunately they trivialized Arms Race when it came out (the right common grade pistol or smg could carry you). Thus, they got nerfed to their current state.
Sounds like they were in need of a rebalance then. But not like this. Not like this...

Having played it more recently, and I think around sevenish times now in total, I at least have the benefit of zoning out and enjoying the gunplay.
Honestly, if Bl4 was just about the various corporations sponsoring the vault hunters, that’d be an interesting hook. Kinda like choosing factions in fallout.

I feel like this video highlights extremely well how fun this game can be if you just impose an actually good story on it. Everything else is there, the gunplay, the movement, the variety, even the characters (for the most part.)

Honestly seems like a way to just make the game more enjoyable if you don't restrict other damage means (action skills, meele, so on).
With the abundance of legendary and unique weapons in the game, it's hard NOT TO melt through everything. Sticking to mail as the source of weapons and adding slight restrictions to shield, artifact and class mod options would make the game enjoyably challenging.
I'm still not sure if it's just from the enemies in Krieg's DLC being a lot healthier, but it seems like Tediore could sort that out pretty quickly. I swear, they were generally really good in the second game, and that leg of the run has made me question my entire history with the brand.

The fact you weren't using Maliwan was beneficiary for the fun of the playthrough as the Maliwan gun you mentioned you could get from Moxxi is easily one of the best guns IN THE ENTIRE GAME, especially on Moze. You never reload and you deal so much damage, that it doesn't matter if it's a boss or an enemy - the only thing ever stopping you are invulnerability phases.
@@SpuddyCube And I almost never used Tediore, as it doesn't really work well with ammo regeneration Moze.
@@SpuddyCube Gearbox saw that Tediore reloads were pretty much the only thing people were using in a dlc called arms race, so they decided to reduce the damage dealt when reloading them. Ever since Tediore just wasn’t as fun to use. Also all the bosses in the Krieg dlc have huge health pools for no good reason.

I'm hearing a slight buzz/static sound whenever you talk, its very faint but is somewhat noticeable, I've checked with other channels videos to see if its my headphones and it didn't happen. if you progress further in UA-cam, check the audio quality sometime. I have no doubts you are gonna be doing great, just giving feedback early on to help improve little things you might miss if that's something you like keep an eye out for. honestly keep up the great work, for a smaller channel, I'm really enjoying your videos.

I haven’t watched the video, saving for the morning. BUT. If Crit/Hail count, easily. Moze & Crit carried me to the end. I played as a trio with my wife and friend. I’m the only FPS player of the 3 of us, and I basically solo’d trio scaled because crit is just that good if you’re accurate and flick well.

tbh the life steal you have while running would have been great with the atlas weapons since you can mark a target and run away from it to get the life steal while avoiding damage

Real talk though, after playing through BL2 with Deathtrap several times, i woulda been super pissed if they broke my boy. For half a second I was worried they might, although I suspect that has more to do with the work put in by the VA. But then I remembered this is BL3 and they already killed off a main character so he was gonna be okay, and I was right!

handsome jacks dlc is such a good dlc. not only is the dlc good, its one of the best xp farms, AND is very good at getting to mayham 10-11 gameplay (lucky 7 farming)

As far as I can tell, a Mayhem 10 Moxxi Crit is the best weapon in the game. Or at least the easiest OP weapon to achieve, since by then the cost of the tips is far outweighed by the other moxxi weapons you get that you can sell

My main gun I had in B3 was an atlas rifle, slam someone/things crit spot fith the shotgun aim bot darts, and magdump the bastards.

The narrator was genuinely really nice, and I feel like it fit the general theme they were going for, but I also found myself frequently just waiting for things to happen. More than anything, the DLC felt slow and a bit unpolished.
