    You definitely looked super comfortable on that and is really cool to see how different guitars, and even different tele’s, bring out different sides to your playing! Fantastic demo and run through as always 😄

      It's true, even with just teles they all make me play a little bit differently! I really just connect so much with this model of guitar on so many levels, it's kind of fitting in many ways because I like things that are simple with most of my music creation tools

    Amazing what a difference a bit of binding makes to the overall look, I love it.

      It makes the entire color for me, I don't like reds of this variety on guitars for the most part but the binding really does put it over the top

      @@AudiomoMusic I have a Jimi Hendrix compilation cd somewhere here, on the cover he's playing a metallic red double bound Tele, I always thought that looked amazing and have wanted one ever since.
      On the subject of Japanese Fenders, a few years back, a mate was looking after a guitar shop for the day. I went in and played every single guitar. There was a brand new USA Super Strat, which was amazing and nearly the favorite, but the top spot for me was an Olympic White Japanese Strat which just had something extra going on. I've been a fan of them ever since.

    I have had Fender Japan , and others from Japan , since the early 80s. Never been disappointed. They and several othr Japanese brands make the perfect guitars

    I imported a 2022 heritage series tele to Europe and I was a bit nervous, but the guitar is incredible, absolutely faultless

    Fender Japan have been making superior guitars for years, long before we "discovered" them, now the older models
    are highly collectable with prices to match.
    It's good to see CTS pots in place of the inferior small pots that just wear out too quickly, a weak spot on a lot of brands
    that i like.
    The Torino red looks stunning, and may have been the most popular if "The Shadows" had not chosen Fiesta Red, which
    the first one they bought wasn't, it was a pink or a bad paint mix of Fiesta red, the truth is lost in history.
    I am very tempted to buy a Strat in Torino red, but it will need a thin wide radius neck, so it won't be a Fender!
    Thanks for your great review Jim, is this one a keeper?

      This color on a strat with a real dark rosewood board would be a magnificent sight to see indeed. You'd likely have to build it yourself but that'd be a fun project in and of itself.
      This one is not being kept, right now I'm in full on sell mode, not keeping things unfortunately.

      I have a 2021 version (in LPB, roasted neck and painted headstock) and was also very pleased to see the quality CTS pots and switch. Saved me having to upgrade them myself! 👍

    • @Barbarapape
      @Barbarapape 2 роки тому +1

      @@1Moggi The better quality electronics just adds to the feeling that you have bought a better guitar than you would only a few years ago.
      My pet hate is cheap pots and switches, which find their way into far too many guitars.

    How would you rate the Japanese telecasters compared to the American professional ii?? I love the sound of these guitars but I’m struggling to find one to play here in the UK

    How do you purchase these if living in Ireland. Do you have to through specific international venders only?

      In Ireland your best bet is online at Ishibashi Music, they will ship directly to you from Japan and have multiple stores throughout the country

    I don't think it's an alder body like you mentioned, but a basswood one

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic  2 місяці тому

      It’s absolutely alder, confirmed several times for this era of modern Fender Japans version of the model.

    • @scaredypicker
      @scaredypicker 2 місяці тому

      @@AudiomoMusic oh really? I wonder why all the others out there in the Traditional 60’s Telecaster model seem to be basswood then? Was it different in 2020, or maybe this was just for an FSR colour?

    • @AudiomoMusic
      @AudiomoMusic  2 місяці тому

      From the launch in 2017 all of the custom telecasters came with alder bodies in that generation of guitars which lasted until 2020. At the end of Q1 in 2020 the transition started to the traditional ii series ( which is where we are at now ) where standard traditional 60's do come with basswood and FSR's or shop orders will have alder if requested. For guitars with a 2020 serial, you can tell if it's a first generation or second generation based on the color if it's a custom color ( such as Torino red was made in the first line of traditional's and replaced for the refresh ).
