Been waitin' for this one! Did not disappoint. One of the better grocery store videos I've seen- and definitely the best English speaking grocery store video I've seen. Really good selection, and the prices are quite good, overall! Future video ideas: you should totally do a "cheap VS expensive jamón taste test" to see if the pricier ones are worth it. You should also do a blind wine taste test, with cheap vs expensive versions. And for other grocery store videos, maybe it's just me, but I would love to see the Asian grocery store selection. Keep up the great content, guys!
Thanks for watching, we are glad you liked it! Thanks for the ideas, we will keep them in mind and maybe be able to combine them! Appreciate the support! 👍🏼🙏🏼
I'm so glad I found your channel! I'm from Mexico and I am going to Valencia next October, so you made me really happy when I saw the mexican food aisle hahaha, thanks to your videos I won't arrive as lost as I might've without you guys! Keep going with the great videos
Oh we’re so glad you found it helpful! There is also another vendor sells lots of mexican products in Ruzafa market. We love good mexican food! 😊There are several mexican restaurants here too, some of them are pretty good, so you should be good here. Thank you so much for watching!
You can find oat meal old style in most supermarkets, at least Mercadona and Consum..Carrefour is enormous! Have you visited Mercado Central? Amazing quality and lots of fresh food
Thank you for watching our video! Yeah Mercadona we go to doesn’t sell it and it seems like quick oats are easier ones to find for some reason. 😅 But that’s not an issue at all! 😊 We actually have a video about Mercado Central. We love that market. 😍 It’s an awesome place!
Yeah, Carrefour (french hypermarket) is a cathedral for foodies. By the way, if you are keen on rolled oats (British for oat meal), you can get them cheaper at Mercadona (500 gr €0.77) or Consum Coop (500 gr €0.78). Both are Valencian supermarkets. I cannot agree more with you guys. For asian food, go to Hiper Asia near Valencia's central railway station. You may taste Mistela, an unexpensive valencian sweet wine after lunch or dinner, especially on a weekend meal.
I actually was looking for more old fashioned oats, but seems like it’s not nearly as common here than U.S. But thank you for the information! And as a Korean who likes to make my own kimchi (well no other options 🤣), Hiper Asia is a must visit. Or for Korean products, sometimes I do online order. I think we’ve tried Mistela at the restaurant, we really liked it! To me for some reason it reminded me of plum wine in Korea. Delicious. Thank you for watching and your tips as always! 😊
Hi, if you compare Carrefour with other grocery chains in U.S, we don’t see much difference other than the food itself. I think U.S grocery chains have better selection of international food like Mexican and Asian, etc.
Great video loving you’re channel In the states we do have nespresso pods in brands other then nespresso themselves Most of the top brands sell them or can be ordered online such as Starbucks,Peet’s and illy.
Nice video. Thanks. Would be interesting to know how much you guys spend on groceries each month to get a sense of cost of living. Maybe a good subject for a video? :)
Thanks Hector! We typically only shop here to get items we can’t get at the local store. We will try to get an episode on some costs of living here. Thank you for your support!
Not really sure, Rick. There are tobacco shops everywhere (called Tobaco). Here is one that says they are a cigar shop: La Cava del Fumador-IQOS PREMIUM OFFICIAL RESELLER
@@ACoupleofNomads thanks guys...looks like we might visit in May. Will probably stock up before the trip...just to make sure I have my bases covered. Maybe see you in May if you'll be there 👍👍👍
My biggest concern with moving to Europe would be their terrible grocery stores. Here in Portland we have like 4 Whole Foods, and several local alternatives that are in some ways even nicer. My local Market of Choice has like a whole section of fancy artisanal hipster coffee. We have vegan eggs (Just Egg), which I hear is *eventually* coming to Europe in 2022. There's nothing so terrible as a random grocery store in a city like Rome, with mass produced junk like General Mills cereal. It's just light years behind US stores. This one in your video is big enough to be halfway decent, but it's no Whole Foods.
Hi Clay, we totally understand. We love Whole Food too! Although it may not be as big, Carrefour does have decent organic selection and there are smaller organic specialty stores throughout Valencia. You won’t find nearly as much certified organic fresh produce, but the quality of fresh produce, especially fruit, is great and there are lots of local fruit and veggies. Hope it helps! Thanks for watching our video!

We’ll definitely keep that in mind for future content. Thank you for watching!
Great Video. If you get a chance to do a local market that would be cool. I Like the Pizza prices. Didn't see bourbon. LOL
Thanks for watching James! We will try to get into a smaller market, and we do have Four Roses here:)
