About the Artists:
Veena Krishnan:
Veena is a 17 year old from San Jose, CA. She is a freshman at Arizona State University studying Mathematics and Biological Sciences.
Veena started learning Carnatic vocal from Sri. Aneesh V Bhat and is now under the tutelage of Kalaimamani Dr. R Suryaprakash.
Veena is a disciple of Padmasree A Kanyakumari for carnatic violin and she has been learning several traditional Indian art forms. Veena learns Hindustani vocal from Pandit Habib Khan and completed her Ganda Bandhan in Aug 2022 in Chennai. She also is under the guidance of Smt. Lalitha Ganapathi and completed her Bharatanrithya arangetram this Nov 2024 in Chennai.
For the past five years, Veena has been running a nonprofit organization, VeenaVaadini, which is dedicated to promoting traditional indian art froms.
Veena recently won the Stanford Healthcare Design Challenge along with her team of fellow freshman, and they are working on establishing a startup that provides a key healthcare solution.
R.Srikritii:
Srikritii started learning Vocal at the age of two and Violin at the age of five from her mother R.Vidhya.
Now she is learning from Padmashri A Kanyakumari Madam.
She started giving Violin Solo performance at the age of 7 has performed in various temple and Sabas.
She had Accompanied many junior and senior artist to name a few Smt Shruthi Bhat,
Smt Kalpalathika Ravishankar , in various sabas
She has attended many Vocal and Violin competitions and won many Prizes.
