I would pay more for a ticket to see Carson McKee than any other musical act on this planet. Carson is the real deal. I have always said that one person with an acoustic guitar and a great voice can entertain millions of people. Carson is proof of this. Outstanding!
Once again Carson McKee pays tribute to one of the greats! Only one in a million would pick this song to cover and, I believe, you are the only human on the planet that could have covered it right. You did it justice! You are truly amazing. Keep up the great work(s).
Listened here...then did a Google Search and found a 1984 Live Ray Price video of this song. And like so many times before I prefer the cover version done by Carson McKee over the original. Magnificent voice , beautiful guitar, remarkable sound quality with minimal equipment Similar experience with Josh Lee Turner and Reina delCid / Lindgren and Skylar McKee. What a great experience to have these incredible musicians on the scene. If I was Stateside I would be stone motherless broke chasing these remarkable young people round the country. Grab the opportunity people.
Carson, this was burnished gold. You treat the lyric with a tenderness that touches the heart. Mr. Price would be proud of how you have embraced this song.
I was going to listen as I puttered around the kitchen, but this one stopped me in my tracks. I had to focus. A mellow voice and rich, simple acoustic guitar, my kind of music. Thank you, sir.
Hey Carson, Ray was sitting in the front row with his arms crossed and that warm smile on his face while being thoroughly entertained. Young man, you nailed it.
I've gotten into artists I've never even heard of before I saw them on your channel. You're always introducing others to songs they may have never come across if you didn't cover them. I'm very grateful, as I'm sure many others are too.
You have an unbelievable voice, Carson. I think you can sing anything and make it sound great. I really enjoy your work, man. keep on truckin'....and....nice guitar!!!
Oh my, Carson! I'm so thankful to find your channel. I cannot imagine my life without hearing you sing to my soul! I love you Carson, and I might mention it again!
Son, from an old man that loves to still sing and play (just around the house or with friends); you are the real deal. Your voice is as good as anyone out there! I wish you the very best in your journey. And I will continue to follow you....
Carson, with that song you have become my absolute favorite UA-cam artist ever (for whatever that's worth). You've got from being the guy who plays rhythm and sings with Josh (also amazing) to an artist who brings all the emotion that a song like "I won't mention it again" deserves. Your covers are amazing, and you originals deserve to be played on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Okay, enough praise. Thank you for playing these absolute classics!
Lyrics: I know you're tired of being all I ever wanted You no longer feel the love I have for you What happens now, what will I do with all the mem'ries And the dreams of all the things we'll never do? But I won't mention it again, I won't think about tomorrow Just let it happen, live each hour, day by day But let me tell you before you go how much I love you Then I won't mention it again, I won't mention it again I feel my life has reached an early sign of autumn In my heart the leaves are falling, love is cold And everything that once was warm and new is gone now Leaving nothing but this hunger in my soul But I won't mention it again, I won't think about tomorrow Just let it happen, live each hour, day by day But let me tell you before you go how much I love you Then I won't mention it again, I won't mention it again
Beautiful man. You’ve really channelled some Willie Nelson sweet vibrato in your voice. Love your covers. Such a pure voice. That gets better and better
Sometimes UA-cam is an enjoyable remembering time, flitting from one good memory song to another but with Carson it is a listening time to savoured. I've never hear some of the covers but really enjoy and his originals are just as entrancing.
Carson, I bought my first Martin last month...a Martin 000-16! Best guitar I have ever owned.... It almost plays itself....and the tone is exceptional. So I understand your comment, "it speaks to me". And by the way, very nice cover! Hope to see you and Josh soon.
I wish I could leave an additional thumbs up each time I rewatch one of Carson‘s videos. This is one of those that I can watch over and over and never tire of it. I must have watched his cover of Blaze Foley’s If I Could Only Fly more than any other video on UA-cam. If you haven’t seen it, you must check it out. I’m going to listen to it again after listening to this one more time.
Carson is a very good writer with a fantastic, versatile voice as well as a great stylist. This #1 Price hit was on my folks' turntable it seemed forever, so when I heard this cover, it brought back great memories of going to my parents house. Carson's voice is so good on this understated take on it.
Sublime. Impeccable. Beautiful. Superb. Moving. Thank you for this absolutely perfect rendition of a beautiful Ray Price song (and for all of your videos, both alone and with Josh and others). Would love to hear you sing "For the Good Times," my all-time favorite by Ray Price.
I like your cover and arrangement - Excellent. Ray Price would have loved it as well. This is a song that is deceptively harder to cover than you would think.
You picked some big shoes to fill there and one of my favorites. Probably one of the most iconic soul tearing songs Ray Price ever did. And you really did it justice. Really nice and a tribute to one of the greatest. You have some of same the warmth and emotion in your voice.
Just a great song by one of the great crooners of all time Ray Price. It takes a voice as strong as yours to do a song like this justice. That is some heartbreaking melody. I love your knew guitar. It sounds perfect I love a 12 fret 000. Excellent trade. Also, I am now sold on the Warm WA47. I've gotta' have one. It's a perfect match for your voice. Always a pleasure to hear you Carson.
Thanks so much! Yeah, the WA-47 is well-made and doesn’t break the bank...even some other ‘clones’ of the U47 can cost thousands. When I was auditioning this, I also tried Warm’s 251 offering, and I found that the 47 was noticeably flatter from 4kHz on up, and was beefier in the low-mids. I usually add maybe .5dB of SIE-Q’s “High” treble knob to the signal chain and I’m tonally good to go.
It sounds very much like my1967 Australian hand made Maton FG100. Nice and crisp sound and a joy to play. Good acquisition and lovely choice of song to introduce it.
Wow ...That was one of your best works ever and stone beautiful ...did not realize you are a smokin guitar player as well ..well done ! That ripped my face off !!!
Just listened to this at full tilt on my studio system. OUTSTANDING Carson. Your voice is simply sublime! Keep 'em coming & best wishes from Eireann's emerald isle. ☘☘☘
Great song and as always you did it justice. You're going to blow up some day, bro. I can see it coming. Stay on that narrow road. The guitar is beautiful. Enjoy.
A classic "hurtin' song," and beautifully done. Wonderful voicing, pausing, emphasis, a vocal treat. Plus for a bonus, a totally science fiction microphone setup. Keep 'em coming Mr McKee!

I love Carson's voice and the incredible style. It's so great to hear a modern voice singing some classics.
He's going to be a superstar.

You checked all the boxes with that arrangement. Bravo.
Close your eyes and it sounds like you are listening to an LP recording. The production value is off the charts.
GAWD...that was epic.

Like any good country song, this brought me to tears. The clearness in Carson's voice and the emotion he's able to bring to this song is amazing...
What an amazing instrument your voice is. Keep playing and singing brother
I can hear sooo much of Willie Nelson in Carson's country voice. It is amazing!
But a lack of nasal-ness😁
Hey Carson, Ray was sitting in the front row with his arms crossed and that warm smile on his face while being thoroughly entertained. Young man, you nailed it.
Reminds me that music can often have a physical effect on the listener. Thanks for sharing-- this one will stay with me for a while
Ray Price was KING,,, GREAT Job
Carson was great , perfecto !! No one does it like that voice of Ray Price.......
Beautiful, sir. Your voice is quite pure and natural.
Great voice and guitar captured perfectly. Great recording and production Carson. Well done.
I've gotten into artists I've never even heard of before I saw them on your channel. You're always introducing others to songs they may have never come across if you didn't cover them. I'm very grateful, as I'm sure many others are too.
The is a great song for Carson to demonstrate how beautiful his voice is. Wonderful.

Beautiful voice. I just LOVED this song. If you don't make it big with that voice, then people have no idea of quality or talent.
Goosebumps. Well done sir.

YT needs a “love” button for this song. And for Carson’s collection!
this should have radio time, people might just treat each other better in a relationship, great job Carson
Ray Price was one of my mom's favorite so listening gives me the cozy feeling of being home
Thanks Carson, we old folk absolutely love your talent.
Sweet song, confident voice, and that Martin, well...
That. Was. Absolutely. Incredible.
Unbelievable. 😳 ❤️ So beautiful! The richness of your voice! It’s like you’re channeling Ray! 😳
beautiful guitar, beautiful voice, beautiful song... thank you for this, sir
Freakin’ beautiful Carson!
Oh man!! Your voice is tugging at my heart ❤️ 💕❤️💕❤️💕
Out of sight GOOD! Thanks Carson.
I felt the sadness
Carson, those ballads are right in your wheelhouse. Nice job.
Never heard it sung or played any better than that right there ... Atta boy !!
So sensitive and clever use of your voice....thanks so much for all the good job you've done so far....epic!
Beautiful!! Carson's PaPa loved Ray Price. He's smiling in Heaven!
So many onions here ... once again you outdid yourself and the original version too. Just beautiful.
Lovely song, Awesome voice Carson!!!!
Damn Carson! That was beautiful. Thank you. I danced to Ray Price singing to this tune in South Texas. Your better.
Beautiful man. You’ve really channelled some Willie Nelson sweet vibrato in your voice. Love your covers. Such a pure voice. That gets better and better
Excellent work! Great guitar too! Sometimes they let us think and play differently...
I love the look of a slotted headstock too!
WOW! That was really special! Thank you!
Dude! Talk about honoring a legend!! Awesome performance!
Long time Ray Price here. You knocked it out of the park.
Thank you. For all the wonderful music. Bless you & that beautiful voice.

Long live the classics. Very well done. Thank you Mr. McKee. (nice guitfiddle)
Amazing phrasing, Carson. You are such a beast. Sure appreciate you.
Hair improved a lot. The cover is superb as usual. The way you add your style to these songs gives them a new, colorful life. Thank you, sire.

For a minute I thought Ray Price came back to us. Thanks for the song!
I really like your choices of songs. I’m so impressed that your music brings to life, the music many of us grew up with.
Thank you

So smooth, just beautiful!
I can imagine this being written in a bedroom by a hurting person.
Thanks for breathing life back into this beauty.
Carry on
Great cover. Thank you for posting.
Gah, what an instrument.
Very nice Carson. FWIW, my uncle played steel guitar for Mr Price in the 1960's. Like the Martin, congrats...
Love your solo work . We need more please.
I've listened to this cover so many times. Truly a great rendition of a great song. Love your work!
