- TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I surely have NO COMMERCIAL intention to earn any advantage from the use of this dvd. I only want to share the beauty of it with my friends, acquaintances and viewers. Thanks!
there are guitarists. there are musicians. THEN there's jeff beck.
And everyone on this stage. Top o' the mountain.
@@milesoneal3939 Saw JB in Sheffield this year - cannot express how his playing moved me .......Lizzie Ball ...spine chilling
And then there is beautiful Irish Melody ...IRELAND 😍 ❤❤ ❤
Nicely said!
I told my wife, “I want this version of this song played at my funeral”... just beautiful...
I was just thinking the SAME THING. here's to Jeff and the hereafter!
lovely melody
As an Irishman . . . this is so warming to hear, like a lot of Celtic music it is full of longing, tragedy and sadness.
As a non Irish i've many times got that feeling that Celtic music has a sense of melancholy and according to you it seems i was not wrong about that :)
@@danielolson5378 It's also the most optimistic traditional music there is.....quite the paradox, but that's the Irish!
The Irish: all their wars were merry and all their songs were sad.
I am a 3rd generation American of Scots-Irish descent. The music of the Celtic peoples is perhaps the most beautiful in the world. To have Jeff so emotionally and gracefully play this song is breathtaking and a superb tribute to our ancestors
This is sensational - it plucks, pulls and dizzies your emotions. I could play this over and over and not be bored. Each musician here is at the top of their game.
Rip legend
Gone too soon rest in peace Jeff God Bless 🙏
Its often said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But, in the case of Jeff Beck, other guitarists don't even bother to imitate what he does. It simply can't be done. That too, is a sincere expression of respect for Beck's unique talents.
no words are needed
I'm an old fusion fan, from the Chick Correa, Return to Forever & Jeff Back days of 60s/70s, etc., and I'm really glad i got turned onto Tal Wilkenfeld recently, she has the sound of a classic fusion bassist already even at a young age.
SH-T!!! Can't believe there is somebody else on this planet who has heard of/likes Chick Corea/Return To Forever. You must be as old as me man!
Have you heard of Kinga Glyk? Young, maybe 26 now, bass player from Poland. Mostly jazz, but doing some funk as well. Similar melodic style to Tal....
She re fresh the sound
The one and only guitar player.
He is the greatest player to explore all the possibilities that the electric guitar could hold, and a pioneer of astonishing virtuosity.
My life has been with his innovative music for nearly a half-century.
Overflowing with love and gratitude for him.
So lonely and my heart is crushed. I still cannot recover from the shock of the passing of a great guitarist whom I respected and admired. I realise now how essential the guitar tones and phrases he played were in shaping my life.
Love you Jeff….
The violin is such a wonderful instrument
Give a beautiful melody to a great guitarist and that's the result.
that's the result. :)
I love this kind of music and I love also Jeff Beck that he is not short-sited. That he is willing to explore many streams of music. My knowledge of the englisch language is poor so forgive me if I've written this wrongly.
Your English is excellent. Well said.
cool, Anna I agree. And congrats on your English. I agree with Joe Garchar, here below. Good vibes from Brazil to both.
Anna Veenstra
It’s a very old Irish tune.It means “Women of Ireland”.
300 hundered years old this beautiful Irish Melody 🎶 🎵
RIP Jeff
Jeff, Tal, and Lizzie. Just wow.
Tal Wilkenfeld: Only a few days far from the moments, audience and camera is focusing only on her. Her tremendous technique and sound kills all others. Artists under the qualtiy of Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy or Clapton aren.t able to resist her empathy. A boon and a bane at the same time. She needs a strong character to stand that career.
Jeff Beck getting better all the years! Playing with the "Yardbirds" I heard him in the age of 12/14, unfortunately more at the time, they were departed. Now, 47 years later, I love more and more the way, he.s playing. Am happy, that Jeff didn.t hit a membership card of "Club 27"!!!
Love his Kind of playing ;-))
Henry from Oberursel, Germany
blues- indianer like you followed him even before the great yardbirds, he is truly the greatest guitarist I have ever had the fortune to listen to.
I hope TW wil be the new Jaco Pastorious on bass
Just can't get over the violin.
Reminds me of "The Charge of the Roharrin".
Her violin takes me back to the early 70s and the sound of Jerry Goodman.
I saw him with the Mahavishnu Orchestra with Santana, the Love Devotion Surrender Tour at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. Life Changing!
Lizzie Ball is FANTASTIC - she steals the show for sure!
Shala Taebi sharon corr version is the corrs
Well I would not say that. Jeff Beck is the best 🎸 & he doesn't steal anything from anyone on stage with him.
Yes the violin is sweet
Simply sublime
surely indeed.
Beck Ball and Wilkenfeild wow absolutely spectacular combination
perfect, I need a violinist ?
Just amazing .. Lizzie , jeff & Tal ... wow
I have seen and heard a kind of perfection today. This piece is just done soooooooooo good I can't get enough of it. It is just fantastic.
I like to say Beck is like a fine bottle of wine. He just gets better and better as he ages. You know, it's a kind of crime that he is getting older because I would love to be able to hear him for the next 59 years, ,37 min. and 21.4 seconds give or take a bit here and there of course..... LOL
indeed.
It just seems that Jeff Beck gets better every time I see him!
Why curse words
Yes, the ever widening circles he opens, inviting us in to new discovery. I love this about Jeff.
All I can say is wow
First time I've seen Jeff Beck with actual sleeves on his shirt.
I could watch him FOREVER!!!
the best melody ever
This fantastic - tremendous gathering of such great talent........Lizzie Ball is oustanding..
Morrigan Ravenchild featuring sharon corr is better 👍👍
On two successive nights my local band in Galashiels, Scotland - The State Property - had the amazing pleasure to support The Jeff Beck Group on two consecutive nights in Selkirk Victoria Hall and in Carlisle Corn Exchange in 1968. Jeff Beck on lead guitar, Rod Stewart on song, Ron Wood on bass and Aynesly Dunbar on drums. Two Wonderful nights.
Women of Ireland - traditional with many versions; from Chieftains to Alain Stivell, from Mike Oldfield to Sinead O'Connor. And it's part of the soundtrack to the great Barry Lyndon :)
knew I recognized the melody..barry Lyndon...thanks,brother.
sharon corr version is best of the best 👍👍
And Wuthering Heights with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. Sinead O Connor narrates as the maid!!. Amazing and totally heartbreaking version. Check it out if you haven't already!! 😁
Absolutely beautiful.
So much talent ,beauty and genuinely lovely people on stage at the stage at the same time -brilliant -and a cameo from Keef as well!!
Geoff Richards Great comment by you
Geoff Richards

A beautiful song!
Absolutely beautiful! This is a work of art in music 🎶. 📕
Oh that woman Lizzie Ball. How often does a violin give no quarter to the master that is J. Beck.. Well done
Worldclass Jeff Beck as always Rest in peace ther can only be one and thats you
Simply an incredibly and unique beautiful arrangement performed by Artist from three generations
with timeless taste and passion for audio perfection that spans the universe:>)

havnt seen him play so softly ever i think .
Wonderful music. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this, such a beautiful melodic sound ❤
Just magic
Beautiful
Nice to see tal back doing stuff!
Lizzie Ball is absolutely fantastic.
There are many very good if not wonderful interpretation of this song, in many different styles, I particularly like the version by Bob James, different but a good melody will always shine through, But to truly appreciate this piece you have to listen to it being sung by Sean O'Riada, then you will understand the true beauty of it.
Violin is the best instrument I believe to express emotions, perhaps far better than human voice.
Jeff Beck is one of the most emotional guitarists though, I don’t think he couldn’t be more better than violin. Still this is a good trial he made.
He is great isn’t he. I never he could make the better of violin.
I love Tal !
She loves you too. It was on the news.
It's "Mna na hEireann" NOT "Mna na Heireann", meaning "Women of Ireland" the words were written by Irish poet Peadar O'Doirnin in the 1700's, put to music in in the 20th century by Sean O'Riada.
NIc Fewer
Lizzie Ball gives a forceful version of one of the most beautiful songs. Beck and the others was pretty good too.💖💝
Wonderful
Magistral versió¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
The bassist owns it !!!
Lizzie Ball is fantastic
really beautiful piece of music..gotta say this.. camara guys and their editors are really missing the "big picture" with their close-ups rear-end shots, panning of the audiance, showing drummer or bass player when a violin or other solo is going on. Dare I add zooming in on nasal hair.
Too bad... I choosed to close my eyes and open my ears more widely
Great music
Beautiful version of Mná na hÉireann. Kate Bush does a lovely vocal version.
Wolfetones do nice vocal version too☘
Mentioning the Wolfetones in the same sentence as Mna na h'Eireann and Jeff Beck is a travesty.
Take it from the guy who usually ain't hooked on the Violin but here it makes half the song! This a cool mix between like Celtic music, Blues and Funk! Lizzie obviously plays the Celtic part while Jeff's solo clearly has some Blues vibes while Taj and Jonathan kinda lays down a more funky groove. Sounds absolutely great together!
cool, Daniel. agree. ggod vibes from Brazil.
Wow
nico ,mira a este genio !!!
géant
I love this song. Love Jeff, will.miss him...does anyone know the name ofvthis song
"Mná na hÉireann" (English: Women of Ireland) - It's an Irish song.

Music is sublime, cinematography below par.
If that don't let you know jeff
C'est si beau en cette période sombre. Qui est la violoniste?
+Didier Thomas Violin: Lizzie Ball
Any acknowledgment of the tune Mna Na h'Eireann that Jeff Beck and friends are playing here
lovely
What's name? this beaultifull theme
(If I could find) Words
Thanks :)
Mna Na Heireann (women of Ireland) too too beautiful isn't it, breaks my heart.
This would not be enriched were it not for that amazing drumming.....who is that drummer ?
Jonathan Joseph. He's worked extensively with Joss Stone, and is married to her mother.
It's a family song
Sharon Corr played this song moore than Better!
Had no idea Jeff Beck was part Irish
The violinist is Lizzie Ball ... But Tal rules!
What's the name on the lady on violin?
Lizzie Ball. I saw them in September. She looks great. Plays incredible violin and sings very well.
Dave Deretchin Thank you :)
That would be short-sighted Anna but otherwise perfect.
GUAO
