I loved watching this guy's "Let's Play With Glitches" videos back in the day. If Swordless is returning to the scene I hope he'll start doing those again.

The guards actually function like this: if they see you on the ground for more than one frame you get caught. The phrase "on the ground" is crucial, because if you side hop frame perfectly, you're never on the ground for more than one frame, so you don't get caught.
It's following the category created by the community so you'd have to ask them. That being said, it's very easy to accidentally power crouch stab unintentionally so barring it in a speed run would invalidate so many runs. In casual game play you wouldn't slash at nothing to reset your damage just to make sure your couch stab is normal.
Power crouch stabbing is an exploit, not a glitch. The game automatically stores whatever damage value your last attack was into memory, and when you do a crouch stab, the game assigns that value to the attack. That's why it's allowed in glitchless😉
How about instead of a "swordless", we get an "adless" version? Fucking insane to stop two or three times per dungeon to force-skip a goddamn ad... on a *TAS*...
Kinda wish this was run on OOT3D, since it's prettier and still TAS-able. I get the nostalgia factor for running N64 but if you're not going to use glitches... 😕
Ocarina of time runs are horrible to watch… side jumps with link’s voice it’s impossible to watch more than 10 minutes. Hope to see a « sidejumpless category »lol

I set it to 480 and it looked familiar
I know it's a joke but don't do this! UA-cam doesn't support 60fps under 720p anymore and OoT will microstutter when watching at 30fps!

There are several exploits only possible in the N64 version that are used in this run.
