    For all their equipment, albeit old, you would think they would have a cheapo chinese ac/dc tig welder instead of epoxy glue. I don't get that.

      the broken wall is too thin to weld. The repaired hub is maybee more stable than before

    That's a good shop fix. (However there's nothing perfect about it) if you had TIG welded the broken part and re-machined it, then you Might be able to call it perfect. 😅

      My first thought was build it up with weld and remachine it but I guess they have to work with what they've got, tbh this guy blows 99.9% of the machinists I see in this type of vid out of the water. He at least makes an attempt to measure things properly, as usual though the materials used are very suspect, the flaky chips suggest lots of iron oxide deposits and porosity from the forging process which from what I have seen previously is usually throw all the aluminium/steel into an uncontrolled furnace and hope for the best.
