the back corner of the box is always so tricky sometimes
It certainly can be. Here is the link on how to build a cube from an ellipse. You can put an ellipse on the front or side to redraw the cube rotating right to left or front to back. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/TAlXoAoBCP0/v-deo.html

just a note or observation the horizontal lines of the front of the cube would need to be parallel to the horizon line
That is correct. One point perspective boxes are made up of vertical lines, horizontal lines and lines drawn to the vanishing point and yes the horizontal lines should be parallel to the horizon line.
