This is so dope. I had no idea they had all these.
Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. This woulda made for one hell of an ARG campaign if this had been made around the same time as say Cloverfield or even today.
Yooo this is crazy. I can’t believe you have these. I was such a big fan of this movie as a kid
15:35 I like how the 'alien expert' dr.Libby Fields starts out kind of smug in his explanation about the aliens and their intent. Then as he explains why they're likely hostile he shows a dour sligthly disturbed tone. I wonder what real life person inspired his character?
21:49 The President just finished a blunt that was also fifteen miles wide.
42:20 finally got to see this again after so long.
Wow. Now we see what these news in the movie actually were reporting and mostly saying about.
16:00 that's the dude that played the douchey angel in supernatural lol
Now I want a super cut of the film with these Added in , a 4 hour version of the film
Ok the German broadcast was accurate af.
OMG, this is soooooo awesome.
Killed by a champagne bottle at his daughter's wedding ?
Who fucking wrote that line lol
Either Dean Devlin or Roland Emmerich.
Death by a champagne cork is actually a legitimate cause of death irl or so I read.
Its a bit tongue in cheek, but the part about death by Cork, there's basis in reality and its still funny af 🤣
30:55 Best decision made ever
Russell Casse The Pilot saying that he was kidnapped by aliens 10 years ago and they did experiments on him lol😂😂😂😂😂😂
When it turns out he was right all along.
WAIT WHAT?! Thats soviet union, the soviet union collapse in 1991! this record is from 1996! 4:11
The movie was made by Fox, a company known for a crap news service
Wow. I didn't know that this TV broadcasts was so complex.
At 0:22:02 - the broadcast is actually in Korean, not Chinese.
21:48 be brave, be strong ... be babaloopa be my baby XD ... best President ever! Bill Pullman was great.
How much of this was stock footage, and how much was original? The grainy shots of panic in the streets and military vehicles and planes are fairly generic-but-expensive looking.
Some of it looks like original footage, but there is footage of Tiananmen Square during the Russian news footage
These are awesome story building
33:14 When they took him up to he's Spaceship the Aliens Abusive him Sexually😂😂😂😂😂
Kinky
16:53
-- I know ma. Just try and stay calm.
- Tell her to pack up and leave town.
- Why? What happened?
- JUST DO IT.
- Ma, ma listen uh, get your stuff together and hed for Aunt Esther´s. Don't argue me JUST GO! .... David, why did I just send my mother to Atlanta?
Can some please reupload with subtitles on the German, Arabic and Chinese broadcasts?
Yeah, totally agree!
Wow, they put a lot of effort into these! That's crazy that there's essentially a whole half a movie of worldbuilding and lore that we only see a few snippets of, probably less than a minute total. Just another reason why this film is brilliant and far more than just a generic disaster/invasion blockbuster.
Seeing this for the first time. Damn absolute kino.
Hello /tv/
I’ve never seen any of this before, aside from the clips you see during the movie itself. All I remember seeing was the Super Bowl teaser trailer where they blew up the White House, and then the tag line appears that says, “Enjoy the Super Bowl. It may be your last”. Did these make it to tv or anything?
The backstory to Independence Day, 1996.
Movies really need more of some of this extra stuff like this.
Why is it not suprising that the brief news footages from this movie were made in detail . This was probably added in the special dvd editions of the movie. Kind of added detail to make the film even better .
Just gotta give credit to the effort this movie put in. Even though the second movie was shit the visuals of each was ahead of its time.
Excellent. Team One News and Sky News America on the scene
