love the High kicks,as they say, The apple dos,nt fall far from the tree, you are as fit as your lovely Mom
lol - I do my best x
OMG! Your channel makes me happy. You, showing us your wellies, is simply perfect!
glad you enjoy x
I am thrilled when I found your channel. I am a gardener too and love my time outside. Love the yellow wellies :)
Glad you like them! x
You and Teacake are a joy! Happy Mother's Day x
Thank you! You too! x
Thank you :) I made the local garden centre chap laugh when buying the small kids spade they had on sale. But like you say; easier to do swift work when the tool fits the person. It's great for planting in-between other plants too.
quite right x
Hi Georgie, we are going through a heat wave here in Victoria, Australia. So refreshing to see the lush green grass and hear the underfoot squelching. Love your ‘commonsense’ mixed with hilarity.
thankyou so much - and I hope you get a drop or two of rain soon x
I love that sweater however I do have drawers full of jumpers and cardies as I am a selfish knitter. I love your reasoning for wearing your party clothes everyday, such a sensible idea. keeping them packed away "for best" is like our parents keeping china in the cupboard "for best" .
I love your description of yourself as a 'selfish knitter' - surely no such thing! glad you agree re party clothes (and china!) x
Phew Georgie! I’m exhausted just watching those high kicks and I’m 34! 😂 you go girl!
Also please let us have more Teacake in your videos. She is soooo cute! ❤
lol - yes, Teacake's a treat x
Thanks from this Kiwi for your tips on tools.
I repurposed the canvas BBQ apron my husband received for Christmas - works a treat 😂😂😂
sounds perfect for the job x
The solid barrow wheel certainly made the video, and high kicks to stave off old age made my entire weekend. ❤
my pleasure x
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with such humour and authenticity. 🌸🍃🌼🥾 I love watching your videos! Happy Mother’s Day from Alberta, 🇨🇦
Thank you so much! x
This made me smile and chuckle. I will check out your fancy boots! Enjoyed.
you're welcome x
I did enjoy! Thank you 💚
you're welcome x
I love my knife like this , have to sharpen it regularly, love my Mattock .
great minds think alike x
I love that you wear your nice sweater everyday!
otherwise I'd never wear it x
❤ your sense of humor. Unfortunately for my husband an Eribe sweater is on my wish list. Happy Mother’s Day! When will we see another video with your mom?
good luck with the sweater - I'm up to see Mum in April but not sure if we'll have time to make a clip - rearranging the house to make it better laid out for Dad as his dementia moves on and Mum has an eye op so may not feel like doing the 'tube xxx
Oh my gosh I so agree Georgie. I'm 5ft 1ins and I have the lightest and smallest tools possible. My next purchase will be some new shears as the ones I have are so heavy and make my wrists hurt. Love the high kicks... made me smile. I wish you were my neighbour I'd do them with you! Nobody would see us, as here on our farm we have no neighbours😂 xx
go for it xxx
I've ordered the Golden Spade, but couldn't find any Teacake 🤷🏻♀️ I hope it also works with a Martha and a Fino 🐩🐕 ;) Additional I could try a Lego, Molly, Ivy or Albus 🐈⬛ 🐈 😀 Thank you for the great tipps and have a nice start into the week 🤗🌻
love it - enjoy the spade xxx
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊 x
Mine is red, not gold. Short people shovels are amazing! So. I just planted an amount of tomatoes that will make your head spin. Plant sale!
hurrah! x
Very wise tool advice! , love to browse through farmer’s markets looking for them , especially old tools. Wish I lived in the UK to attend your work shops.
How is Googy ? Please tell us
Googie's well thank you - and you can take part in many of my workshops and demos online if you like - glad you like the tool advice x
My fav is the hori hori tool
I've never had one - #fail x
Good advice to buy the best tools you can afford and save time and money elsewhere (heating!).
glad you agree x
Hi Georgie, what make is your knife, Ive looked online and cant find one with the notch in the wooden handle to enable the knife to fold. I really like the look of your one. 😁
I've put the list of suppliers in the blurb to the clips x
I like a wheelbarrow with two wheels
ooh I've never seen one x
I have a question about the English use of the word “compost.” Here in the US, we have potting soil, seed-starting soil, raised bed soil, garden soil, topsoil… and then compost used to amend our gardens. Your use of the word “compost” seems to be all encompassing. Is that correct? Love you and the pup!
There are lots of specific different kinds of material with which one can mulch, pot, into which one can sow etc - I use compost for all because then every time I do I feed the soil x
I believe US markets take advantage of consumers who are new to gardening. They tell people that you need a different soil, mulch, compost, etc. just because they know some will purchase it. The gardening market has blown up since covid started and stores have definitely preyed upon inexperienced newcomers.
The lupine are ‘hydrophobic’.
they are x like ladies' mantle x
🧚💚💫✨️😽
thank you x
Hi you said its mothers day all over england well its mothersday in scotland as well we are part of the uk 😊
Yes sorry - of course - I really should read from a script so I would t make mistakes like that xxx
@@theflowerfarmerits ok every youtuber I watch always refers to england and seem to forget its actually the uk there is life outside england 😊
@@annescott6137 you are so right!
Whenever we have bought a wheelbarrow if it wasn’t available with a solid wheel my husband went to the tire shop and bought one to put on the wheelbarrow. TeresaSue
@@BlessingsfromNorthIdaho he’s a wise man x
High kicks are hilarious. You are not a well bunny.
you're so right x
It cracked me up when you pointed out that Fabrizio's tools make noise while your did not. It's a gender thing, me thinks.😉
you may be right x
I wonder if it wouldn't be better to put your "like/subscribe/club/coffee" message at the end of the video. New folks wouldn't get bogged down by the message before they've seen your content and before they know it's worth subscribing.
the awful truth is if I did that people might not get that far - you're right, at first it felt counter-intuitive to do it at the beginning - but listening to all the really successful podcasts they all do it at the beginning before you've heard anything so I thought I would take a leaf out of their book and if it works for them... x
@@theflowerfarmer interesting. Most of the channels with large followings that I listen to get right into their content then have their pitch later on. I guess there are a variety of methods.
Question, do you wear those boots in the summer or are they too hot? I’m forever trying to find suitable footwear for the garden, not too hot, not too cold, not able to have dirt fall in them….you know, the garden version of Goldilocks. TeresaSue
in the summer I wear flip flops unless digging when I wear boots for fear of losing a toe x I go direct from boots to flip flops some time end April beginning May depending on the weather - sometimes with a week or two of trainers in between depending on mud levels xxx
