What I like about NB is the generally wide toebox than some other brands and lower stack heights. Hope the toebox for the More V5 is more like the V3 and less like the V4 in terms of width. Also, Running Warehouse please start shipping to Canada, it's not like Canada is on the other side of the planet.
Love NB - along with the Adidas Adizero lineup as they complement each other very well. The FuelCell SC Elite v3 and the Adizero Prime X Strung are my two favorite road running shoes. Also love the SC Trail for trail running, 1080v13 for the easy runs, More v4 for the really slow recovery runs, and SC Trainer v1 and v2 for general base training, and the Rebel v3 for uptempo stuff. I'm an NB fanboy for sure. Considered the SC Pacer but I already have the Takumi Sen 8 & 9, so I skipped that one but the SC Pacer v2 sure looks irresistible. Very excited about the SC Elite v4 as well as the entire upcoming 2024 lineup from NB. All the shoes look great inside, out, and underneath. Besides NB and Adidas Adizero, I don't even look at other brands anymore (well, the Alphafly 3 is not something to be ignored - haha). They just work so much better for me than all the other brands I've tried. Keep up the great work, NB!
Already available here in asia, got mine last saturday. First impression, incredible. The plate seems stiffer than most plated shoes. Extremely propulsive. Seems like shoes has its own motor built-in that you just have to go faster, doesnt allow you to slow down. Foam is very much different from v2, v3. Its not mushy anymore, no more sinking feeling without bounce back, v4 is all about bounce and huge bounce back. Foam feels the same as nike next% but with greater bounce. Fit is ok, nothing to brag about. I had a lil heel slippage but im no competitive runner so its ok. Shoes are available in many colorways, love the dark gray with several color accents but i chose the most conservative colorway black w/ cream midsole with gray accent
It’s noticeable that in all the videos I’ve seen, NB reps mention the heel drop of their other new shoes but not of this one. What is the heel drop, and why are they being secretive about it?
I've owned nearly every carbon plated shoe out there. Lets face it, NB out did themselves with the v2of which I onwed 5 pair.. then came along the v3 was a step back.. I hope v4 can continue on from where the left off v2.. with its cushioned but stable (enough) feel for longer races & great upper.
Being honest looks like an adidas pro 3 copy and paste. Which is a great shoe until the next gen pro 3 gets released. I didnt mind the elite v2 as a training shoe but a tad soft for racing. So the peba change could be a step in the right direction.
If it's a new foam, why are you calling it by the same name? It creates a lot of confusion for the consumers. They can't possibly know what to expect with such inconsistency.
It looks good! But The look reminds me of adidas angular design. Also why change the wing like logo? That is a very aesthetic pleasing design. PS I don’t buy the statement that they tested vigorously with elite athletes so it can benefit the consumer, those two groups of runners are totally different, the logic falls short.
@@io-rj6sk most super shoes other than Adidas and a couple others will have PEBA. Saucony also has an extensive lineup with trainers such as Tempus and Speed 3 containing it. Other brands are catching up with super trainers containing it now but most will be a blend of PEBA and EVA to add rigidity in absence of a plate like the original Turbo did.
Therein lies the supershoe argument. If athletes are willing to grab every performance benefit that's not their bodies... Is that doping? 🤷♂️😂 Thus, the wars continue

My favorite change - the departure from the slipper style to the traditional tongue. The v3s I did set PRs but I could never get the fit quite right.

A waste of money for anybody running 4 hours. Just get a stability shoe with good comfort. 4 hour runners don't need Super shoes

Almost all of the companies are doing this with technology, changing so fast. The name consistency refers to the type/purpose of the shoe.
I actually wish Asics would do this. Their foam names are getting too long.

SC trainer v1 is my favorite long run shoe btw. Also have the RC elite v1, live the dynaGrip

The past iterations of the RC/SC have been squishy feeling. If the plate sits very close to the ground then it might feel like it's bottoming out.
