Cracking review iv been waiting on. Looks like a lovely tent, especially for the bigger person and at a decent weight too. Concerns being from Scotland and doing most of my camps in Scotland, is the raised fly sections at the head and toe of the tent. (You touched on them at the end of the video) The horizontal wind and rain we get here I don't know how that design would come into play. Also looks like it lets a lot of light in too so RIP to the longer lies in the summer months 😂 pack my blindfold. Will absolutely be looking into this as an upgrade but not sure £500 is my budget quite yet. Winter sale 🤞love my trecking pole tent but at this weight i can be a lot more flexible where I'm able to pitch with the freestanding being the option. Pegs are sweet to from what I saw.. currently use MSR groundhogs. Done well with the review, a lot of pressure on the first one but you smashed it mate! 👏
thank you mate i really appreciate it and yeah thats one of my worries aswell and especially with scotland weather think they leave the fly high for added ventilation also what trekking pole tent do u have because that’s something iam looking into?
@@HikingHigh I don't think it would be that bad an issue coz I wouldn't deliberately be going out in weather as bad. That's kinda why I don't need to be spending as much on a tent. 😂 I currently use the lanshan 2 pro mate. Budget tent that you need to seam seal once you get it. Had it for two years and never had any issues other than condensation can be bad as it's an all in one style tent. (Doesn't have the inner and outer) which has its benefits to pitching all at once so your inner isn't getting wet if your pitching in the rain. Cost me around £160.. which I was happy spending as I was completely new to wild camping. Iv since upgraded my sleep system with a down bag and a big Agnes insulated wide pad (best part of £300 for both) in the market for a new tent around that same £300 range. One that I keep looking at and has great reviews is the "durston xmid series, or the zpacks duplex. The 2nd one being more expensive as it's a different fly material and I think it's a US tent so be pricey to export. Looking forward to more videos. Stay safe
This is probably the most comprehensive review of this tent i have seen and shows actual real-life use feedback. I have since bought the tent because of this
thank you my first review aswell so this really means a lot glad you’ve enjoyed it and iam sure u will love this tent I’ve found a way to put the rain fly up first and then your inner but u do have to have the ground sheet
the weight isn't 1.5kg its 1.86kg that's not including guy ropes or ground footprint which comes to around 2.2kg, i own this tent myself along with the hubba hubba, MSR tent's are really good also, haven't heard or seen any of them breaking.
its amazing had it in some heavy rains the other week and i didn’t have a issue the only downside is setting up in the rain because u have to set the inner up first but the tent drys really quickly

Sick review mate!! Hope to see the 3 day hike video soon😃
Nice one chief. Mines arrived today with footprint too.
hope you enjoy it as much as i do 👍
Great tent... but the Dragonfly 3p is absolutely on the money! Storage inside is second to none. Dagger is behind in that category
Just bought this tent myself. Did you say it struggles in bad weather?
not tested it in winds to be honest mate seen videos of them doing well but i don’t trust it
I laughed when you said get this over MSR because it looks better
I got this tent for the same reason 😆
definitely mate blends in a load better

I have one. All packed with the extra groundsheet and all extra stakes and ropes that comes with the tent, 1855g.
Its a superb tent.😊
Where are the guy lines?
Hey I’m 6’2”. Do you think I’ll fit?
yes mate iam 6 3 and haven’t had a issue eith the size
Hi how is you'r tent? Did you try on heavy rain?
its amazing had it in some heavy rains the other week and i didn’t have a issue the only downside is setting up in the rain because u have to set the inner up first but the tent drys really quickly
I didn’t chose this tent or some other Nemo tents because the rain fly doesn’t go to the ground. Not a good tent for the Pacific Northwest weather.
Great tent, landing zone is bullshit IMO.
And a friggin seam across the floor. 🤦♂️
That's standard with every tent that is larger than 1 person and has a bathtub floor.
