- Hi folks, I just wanted to clear this up for people who are being mislead about the capabilities of this little fan/nightlight. Like I've said, this little device is neat and looks cool, but it is not an air conditioner. It is a fan that cools using ice water, so don't be fooled. I like the device and enjoy using it, but people seem to think it'll replace an air conditioner in their home. Well, it definitely won't.
not all heroes wear capes.. you just saved so many people from losing money to fraud..
seriously. This thing is $89 right now, or 3 for $239, but this review shows me it's exactly the same design as the $45 version I tried for a few months before donating (from home depot)

I made a video about it saying it's a neat little fan for really close up, then I saw a bunch of BS vids saying it'll cool an entire room and replace AC. Total BS.

That's because in his first video, he misled people into thinking it would cool the room temperature. He's back tracking now.
No I didn't. I said the ad says it would cool a room. I shrugged that off and said it takes a lot of power to cool a room. Watch it again.

I literally was just watching regular videos on YT and their ad popped up, normally I would skip all ads, but in that few seconds where I couldn’t skip they drew me in ngl. On the ad it said if I clicked the link from UA-cam I would get a limited 55% discount, so I went on their website and everything seemed good so far. I was very impressed by the fact that it could “replace an AC and can cool an entire room”. So I had to come watch a review, and the first video I seen was the one you made almost a year ago which was a cool review BTW. I red your comments and realize a lot of people wasn’t messing with their product and saw that you made an updated review and that’s why I’m here. Thanks for saving a lot of us for wasting money on that shit scam.

Glad to find this review. It’s sad that false advertising is so rampant. I had to threaten to turn them in for fraud to get my money back. Fortunately I found this review within 20 minutes of purchasing. I called them directly and they offered me 50% off what I’d paid, and I declined. When they said I’d have to call back because they couldn’t find my order, I said if I have to call back, I would be calling my bank to report them for fraud. I stay on the line until everything was refunded.

Thank you so much for your review. I was wondering about that thing. I have AC but to keep it from running all the time, I cool myself off by placing an icepack on my leg, under my feet, or on my chest if I'm lying down watching tv. It takes my temperature down immediately.

Its a full blown scam, impossible to get a refund, this thing is a toy and a joke. there needs to be a class action suit against this company. When you call in for a refund they lie and send you on a goose chase until you give up.
So your wrong it has use they are just not advertising it right what you do is ad some essential oil to it and it works great for a defuser. Or if you need a humidifier.
@@t-bfr45-70 That's not what it's advertised as. It's 100% meant to be a replacement for AC for a 400 square foot room as the video ads say. This is fraud and the company should be shut down
@@starfallmedia329 here is the thing it's a Chinese company at some point they will be unable to sell them under whatever name they use now but they will change names and continue on. if you are dumb enough to think it would actually cool a room that's your issue and if you believe hard enough it will work placebo are great. My previous comment is 99% a joke but I could easily see them trying to sell it as a high speed defuser. The fact that no one is going after UA-cam for allowing multiple Chinese scam companies to rip people off.
When seen the commercial for it all I could do is laugh when they said he used the bernoulli's principle that all ac systems to engineer this unit. Most people have no idea how ac systems work or what bernoulli's principle actually is.
You should know that it’s just a Chinese shell company. Class action is impossible.

I totally agree. I have one and the ads are all misleading. The company pays for a ton of fake reviews saying it can replace your AC. It's just a small portable fan.
When I was a kid we lived in a house with no ac, it was hell on summer nights when the house gave off the heat it had stored up during the day.
How I cooled myself off at night was to put my bed near the open window. Put a fan in the window blowing in.
Tie a sheet to the curtain rod or to the fan. Let the other side of the sheet drape over my bed and me.
It wont cool a room, but will cool the area over the bed.
Under the sheet was 70 degrees, outside the sheet was 85-90.
Funny how EVERY single video on these is filled with clearly fake generic comments lol. Glad I didn’t get tricked cause I almost did . Thanks man

I live in less than 800 a month and support my family off that and a rent subsidy. My electric during the summer in Mississippi is around 400 a month I was seriously looking into this thing to see it would help. Thanks for saving me the money. All the other videos were obviously undisclosed ads

If you just put water in it, it only makes your room humid and hot. It didn’t cool the room down at all.
The central air conditioning unit in my house broke and I tried this as the sole means of cooling the room while I waited for the repair man.
I didn’t try it with ice. That might have worked better.

It's taking 18000 btu between two units to keep a space like that fairly cool. It was 91 today outside, but inside it was 66.

But the ad said it cooled their whole classroom in two minutes, from 95° to 65°. I mean I want to believe it. It's a cool-looking gadget though. We called them swamp boxes back in Texas in 1960.

Thank you for the honest information! As I read the marketing promo, my immediate thought was the message was stretching the truth of what it can do. Lol, specifically when they implied you'd be able to turn up the thermostat of your home cooling system. That said, where is the Consumer Protection Agency in stopping such a flagrant misstatement of what a product will do!

I have one that i put next to my bed, because here in Florida, the a.c just isnt enough. It really helps keep my temperature regulated at night while im asleep. It WOULD NOT WORK if I was trying to use it AS an A.C. Its great when its a foot away from you, but dont get one thinking it will cool your room. This review was SPOT ON.. However, like he said, I still like it, and think its nice to have. Also, you do have to keep it clean, or it will stop working. I use a toothbrush on it when i notice that its no longer blowing out the mist.

Works great in the desert at 8k feet where it’s between 35-45 overnight all summer except a handful of days a year we get a heat wave where it’s 88 between 12-2pm and then the temp drops like a rock but a few times a year we have 60 overnight and this device gets it that little bit cooler. I don’t need AC here. Lol we barely have summer

It'll work as well as any fan. As long as it's pointed at you. There are no ac components. It's literally a fan that blows air over a wet sponge.

I just bought a similar one, different brand at big lots for $40.
Its on the table next to me blowing cold air because i put very cold water where it indicates where the water goes.
This one use a socket only. It does blow cold air. I have no A/C. Its better than a fan.
The company says the filters need replacing about every 1-3 months. Probably depends on how much you use it.
It cools me down because it is blowing on me.
It does not cool a room down.
This is why I look up reviews first. Sounded like an interesting product, but why spend money on something you’re not certain of?

Just got done watching an ad that said “Big AirConditiong” was after the inventor because it works so well. Lol.
I'm sure, because I can put 50 of these in a small room running full blast and it wouldn't change the ambient temperature a single degree. Ridiculous advertising.
It looks like a mini swamp cooler. There are cheaper options.
I duct-taped 9 of them together and put the 9 unit box behind the intake on small floor dryer turbo fan. Then I duct the air from the floor dryer into another box slightly separated from another 9 of these stacked and that blows by duct into my face where I am sitting working on the computer. Kinda feels cool
The ad about ChillWell that I saw was almost verbatim an ad about this power saving device you plug into your wall. I think there’s a company that’s pumping out these little scams and hiring the same marketing agency to push their products.
For anyone who wants a cheap portable air conditioner, sure they sell them at aldi’s these for around $160 but they’re still least 2 feet tall, and I need to be plugged in constantly and still have a exhaust vent

I appreciate an honest answer. May I ask for a suggestion as to what does work? I live in an apartment with a car port beneath, horrible insulation, AC runs all day everyday and temperate never gets below 85, hotter in my room as there's a window pouring in heat. I'm on the 2nd floor so window units are out, apartment is small so stand alone units are out. I was going to grab a few of these and hope for the best but sounds like it's a waste of money.
Makes more heat and humidity
You need some energy to first compress the air, then energy to remove the heat from the compressed air, then when you diffuse the air, it'll be cool. This is a little fan that's it.
my mom got one for like 5-10 bucks it kind of works if you point it directly at you but it leaks. it’s like a cheap desktop fan. not even comparable to a decent sized fan 😂

Always too good to be true lol. Would be nice to save $100s of dollars on electric this summer but reality strikes again lol
when i don't wanna use my a/c i have a powerful floor standing vornado fan and water in a spray bottle to mist my face, same idea as chillwell but far n away better results. however, for true air conditioning there's simply no way around a compressor, condenser coil, refrigerant, evaporator coil and expansion valve.
I would definitely get one for camping in a tent I think it would be a good little thing maybe two in summer time would be perfect.
It does nothing but blow room temperature air.
That was a big water fan units that they had kept a vacation cabin pretty cool and I didn’t have ice, or away it’s a scam, Young kid wasn’t offered a lot of money for it!
