To describe arc v without giving straight up spoilers for major plot reveals - it's best described as "depressed theater kid with a missing father gets caught up in the yugioh version of DC Comics' "Crisis of Infinite Earths"
@@dashingkevs3295 yeah, the studio gallop yugioh series (DM-Vrains) like to do this thing where they have a younger, happy go lucky protagonist and then give them more and more trauma as the show gets darker overtime - to the point where the final arcs are darker and more serious than the shows that start out dark and serious.
2:45 Yugioh, Yugioh GX, Yugioh 5Ds are in the same universe. There is a movie of 3 main protagonist dueling together. Yugioh GX takes place few years after Yugioh. (It officially says "few years", but it's some where around 3 to 10 years). Yugioh 5Ds takes place few decades after Yugioh. (It officially says "few decades", some where around 20 to 30 years). Zexal and Arc-V has some connection to the old series, but it is like a multiverse. Yugi and Kaiba appears in GX and has talked with the GX main protagonist Judai Yuki (or Jaden Yuki in the English version). Ushio (or Trudge in English version) who was a bully student in Yugi's high school, became an officer in Yugioh 5Ds and becomes friend of 5Ds main protagonist Yusei Fudo. Ushio should be around 37 to 47 years old in 5Ds.
The ARC-V opening in which the other YGO protagonists appear doesn't have the actual video for that opening. That opening was a special op only for the 777th episode of the YGO series. The other MCs never make a appearance in the actual series ^^' So you didn't get to see the actual video of that opening...
I'm glad you're interested in ZeXaL! Of all of them, that one has to be my favourite. Just make sure not to watch the dub lmao I also noticed you probably caught Rio's bandages and remembered Serenity from the original Yu-Gi-Oh. ZeXaL is very similar to the original in terms of basic character archetypes. Yuma with the ghost is similar to Yugi and the Pharaoh, and his rival, Kaito, has to fight to save his younger brother (His ace is also Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon). His other rival, Shark, has to win to pay for his sister's surgery. As for Rhongo Bongo, that was not him, but Rhongomyniad was a support card for Heroic Champions (An archetype used by one of the characters in the ZeXaL) released after the show aired. For Arc-V, the crazy carnival animals were the Performapal monsters. The Fluffals/Frightfur are a different archetype from the same show used by the blue-haired kid (Named Sora). The "compilation" version of the Arc-V opening was unfortunately just a compilation to celebrate the 777th episode of the entire Yu-Gi-Oh anime up to this point. The original characters protagonists don't appear in the show. However, as you begin to see with opening 4 through 6, the plot of Arc-V is that the protagonist travels to parallel dimensions that are similar to past series. In Trump Card, you can see that they ride on motorcycles to duel, because those are the rules of the 5D's world, and you can see characters like Jack and Crow make an appearance. In Light of Hope, you can see they travel to the ZeXaL world, where you see characters like Kaito again. You also see characters like Aster, from the GX era, because in this show, the GX dimension are basically Nazis that believe Fusion is the master race, and invade other dimensions to wipe them out, hence why you see Ancient Gear Golems in the background, and why everything in the ZeXaL dimension is destroyed. The final opening sees them confront the Fusion dimension to defeat them.
Zexal is where Numbers come from (and xyz in general). Rhongo bongo was never summoned in the show and was a card game original, BUT - the protagonist did canonically collect all 107 numbers & number c forms, so any numbers released after zexal are canon to the show... they were just never summoned on screen. Out of the Numbers not shown in the anime or manga, most of them are references or support for zexal characters. Rhongo bongo is supposed to be Heroic support, and is based on the character who used them (Nistro). Too bad it was too broken and got banned before Nistro's deck could get enough legacy support to go into it consistently lol
@@dashingkevs3295 yeah, for zexal - every number is basically its own senitent thing that gives its owner magic powers (and, usually, possesses them in exchange). So it's kind of like having 107 millenium items running around. There's also such a thing as "shining draw" and "chaos draw" (both of which are real cards now). Which is basically yami yugi's destiny draw - but instead of just drawing the card you need, you generate the perfect card for the situation as you draw it.
7:48 You didnt watch any of the other versions of OP 2 where the villians appear. In one version of OP 2 it appears Kagemaru and in other one Sartorius
Zexal is my fav! Yuma and Astral are the best duo. Their relationship and character growth is better than Yugi and Yami Yugi in my opinion. They also have the time that they seperate from each other like in the Orichalos arc but for Yuma and Astral, it was more emotional and heart breaking. (Also Shark is the best rival. Thank you 😔💕) Please give Zexal a try. It'll worth it.
Beso I have, though I watched the og series back in the day while playing the game. It was fun for the time but at this stage its not appealing to me anymore. I watched a few episodes of it and wasn't as interested in the cast as yugi's squad

Omg fusion guys be like we are the supreme extra deck type. That's a funny yet insane concept 🤣

Cool, this would have been cool to watch while playing it in tcg. Did these modern ygo anime pull some game bs like yugi would do?

Yeah the Zexal duo is like Yami and Yugi except their relationship is much better. 5ds and Zexal are the best Yugioh imo
I see, what makes them better? The chars? Story? Duels?
@@dashingkevs3295 mainly story
Its cool they appear to have a tournament arc with mc's
That would be awesome!
From my understanding that arc v opening with all the protagonists was fanmade and only used the song from the actual opening

Ohh more character development than the typical adventure style
Get on the deck, get on the deck lmao!
Love it!

Thanks for watching, it's so much to cover haha
