I always find myself coming back to this performance. Something about it is comforting, but also kinda haunting. Really feels like a fitting theme to the tragic end of Nirvana.

It is a very punk version, extremely badly played, that's why I love this version though. Never heard of it before. I only know the one in the studio where Cobain's playing drums while Dave Ghrol is on bass, and Novoselic on bass.

It's played perfect, they are having fun and switched instruments drums are hard when ever thing is moving and playing some one else's songs are harder.

This actually made me tear up 😅 because of how it sounds like kurt is singing that from the afterlife about how they had fun in the band and stuff and the way he sung it, i love hearing him sing things that he usually dosent. This makes people see how beautiful he was I miss him more every day even though I wasn’t even alive when he was 😢

This was awesome, i saw a lot of pictures I haven't seen before.
Probablemente la letra de esta canción le recordó su infancia y los viajes familiares en verano junto a su hermana pequeña Kimberly, cuando sus padres aún no se habían divorciado. Y también la letra le recordaría los momentos de rebeldía que estaba viendo, la letra decía : "Adiós papá por favor reza por mí, yo era la oveja negra de la familia intentaste enseñarme el bien del mal, demasiado vino y demasiada canción, me pregunto cómo conseguí seguir adelante". Kurt sin embargo cambió la letra:

weknow aller, your right and there are many translations, Terry Jacks was producing it with the Beach Boys but they dropped it so Jacks and wife took it

The reason that the song seems to jump is because they cut out what he originally said in it which was when he said he was the black sheep of the family he originally also said how he couldn’t hold a job and they put him out and that he was on the street when he was sixteen. It use to be on with it but obviously “someone “ didn’t want that much truth public might make “someone” look bad so it was taken out.

What's strange is that on both versions of this I've heard Kurt says "Goodbye Papa *pease play* for me". The second time he says in this version he says it carefully and gets it right.
