Just finished watching this and the tier list is good. Smash Ultimate being in S tier is deserved, I get that there are flaws with Smash Ultimate but it's literally the perfect Smash game for a casual fan IMO and Slap City being the best one is deserved. I think you ranked Smash Flash 2 a bit too low (should be A or B+ in my opinion) but other than that it's a good tier list. I made a platform fighter flash game tier list in tier list maker a long time ago since most platform fighting games don't include flash games besides Super Smash Flash 1 and 2. Newgrounds Rumble and Chaos Faction 2 are platform fighter flash games people sleep on. I don't think they're better than SSF2 but Newgrounds Rumble and Chaos Faction 2 are really good for their time.
Nick 2 definitely was in a dark spot when zuko came out, but I gotta say, when they put the game on gamepass and Rocksteady came out as a character ( who's one of my favorite super heavyweights in any platform fighter ever) that was such a magical moment in the game's life...... too bad they RUINED it again with Uncle Iroh by not only making him broken, but making both Zim and Korra so unbelievably overpowered for like no reason. Still, after all this time, this is the one platform fighter that I absolutely love playing. The gameplay just speaks with me, it's in that perfect middle ground of speed, control, and options. Not to mention, it's still a fun game with items and wacky stages and really good single player content. Honestly, everyone's saying rivals 2 right now is the best platform fighter, but I think that game's really only that good if you're a super sweaty player. Otherwise, I think Nick 2 still clears, like I got bored of Rivals 2 pretty quickly, but I love Nick 2 even when nobody plays it anymore.
I'm here now because I got an itch to design a plat-fighter, so I realized I needed to actually get into the genre and play more than just Smash Bros lol so here I am looking to soak up all I can and hopefully someday design a great plat-fighting cast
Fr? That's exciting, I'll be sure to stay tuned for that then, although it doesn't help my issue with them changing their release structure constantly 😅
@@SparkLeagueRR So for context, the last time I played this game (aside for getting footage for this video) was when version 1.0 came out in may of 2023 I think, and that was also when they announced paid online access right after closing the beta right after promoting the game heavily during smash events, and the constant shake up from closing the beta right after advertising the beta, then silence, then announcing that upon its re-emergence, that it would now be free offline, paid online, and then buying paid online to get a netcode that felt worse than when it was free. All of the constant structure changes and a poor experience after handing over $25 dollars to even use it, kind of left me with a sour taste in my mouth and I haven't kept up with it since. BUT, upon your comment, I went through and got myself up to date with the patch notes and such, and yeah its back to being fully f2p when I thought online access still had to be paid for! I'll heart this comment so people can see your comment that they changed it again, thanks for letting me know!
@@eyesoaryt oh yea all of that was omega cringe I think that left a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths. There's different leadership for the game now so hopefully we don't run into that chaos again
I know someone already commented this but you missed newgrounds rumble. I’d say it goes in high C tier as it was pretty ambitious for a browser game, but the limitations and crunched development cycle hindered the game a lot. It’s leagues better than smash flash 1 but inferior to smash flash 2.
@@eyesoaryt good to know. The best way to play it is the hacked version on flashpoint, as it has the two extra characters made after the game’s initial development due to its ultra crunched development.
This might just be my nostalgia speaking, but I find Cartoon Network punch time explosion xl to actually be a good game, sure it doesn’t hold up well at all, but me personally, I had a lotta fun with the game.
For you wanting that Platform Fighters itch during the Brawl era, I'm surprised you didn't get to experience Newgrounds Rumble.
I didnt know what new grounds was until middle school for the same reason I didnt get brawl until middle school
Underrated man hope you get some more appreciation
The Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale Slander is crazy, I know the game is far from perfect but it's still a fun time.
Hi, fyi, Mvs is still ranked the exact same despite the rerelease!

Stay tuned on Rushdown Revolt. Game is back to being fully free to play again. Big patch coming soon.

@@eyesoaryt Can you explain? Might be able to tell you if it's different or not lol

Right next to TMNT smash-up! (Aka, not here)
Slap City is amazing
i think hurley is a little better than brawlhalla but brawlhalla is still a great game
Nah brawlhalla better

Yeah newgrounds rumble slipped through the cracks, but I want to remedy that by looking into the game for a video in the (probably distant) future!

Less go slap city!?!?!!?!!?!!!111!!!!
Thank you for putting ultimate in S instead of being a fraud and downplaying it ❤
It's crazy you say that, because I REALLY REALLY wanted to lmao
FR, Ultimate is the best singleplayer Smash game, by a mile, so I was happy to see it in S
psasbr is actually gas you're hating for no reason
Real talk. Playstation All Stars was mad underrated.
@@xxProjectJxx So true, I know it had its issues, but it was so fun to play and mess around with friends.
as someone who competes in flash party i have to say it has gotten far better recnetly not perfect but better with the micro transactions
S is the best grade you can get in japan, thats why it bled into american media
You completely lost me at Slap City.
The game doesn't even seem remotely impressive.
Brawl out is so awesome is my only problem with this video Eyesoar. SLayers for hire mentioined. You should have played Super Powered Battle Friends
