Ahh the time I was watching behind my mama's back this VHS movie. She had good movies in that closet. Boy did she. I also saw a red scarf, a guitar and faux-sideburns. I believe my parents were re-creating some hot lovin' Presley moments with that movie on their 30'' tv in front of their bed. I remember as a child running down a snowy mountain yelling ''make love to me Elvis'' not knowing exactly what making love meant. I love this movie, but it is hard to believe that a lot of it is even true. The story of Priscilla and Elvis is odd to begin with. What parents would let a fourteen year old continue to slowly stretch the rules in order to date a rock star in his 20's? Especially during that time? That is basically what they did. They allowed her to slowly get her way. What happened to the rule of Elvis taking her home? There is no way my parents would budge on this at all, and I was a teenager in the 90's.

Not allowed to date at 14? I was born in 1950. When I was that age, in the early 1960s, none of my friends were driving yet. What my mom did was drive me to my boyfriend's family's house and we spent time together at their house during the summer during vacation from school. Also, his mom would bring him to our house. Sex was not one of the things we did. But as for being allowed to GO AND LIVE at someone else's house -- no way LOL. The thing that turns me off about this movie is the the lead who plays Elvis because I don't see him as Elvis, not at all.
The song thats playing as they are rolling down the hill is called A time for us... And they play it during pivotal scenes through out the movie .. While thier falling in love and hes telling her that for the first time since his mother died he now feels safe ....Right before hes due to return to the US and be seperated for two years ( this scene ) when she tells him shes leaving him in the dressing room .. And when he begs her to come back to him right before his death whene they had often spoke about getting back toghether but just ran out of time .... I like to think since she hand picked the people who would play her and elvis ..that she also picked the music ..and she chose the instrumental music for a time for us to represent through out thier relationship how thier was this constant wait for the right time .... The wait to be toghether .. And than the hope that they would find thier way back to each other one day .. as the lyrics say .. Maby one day there will be A time for us .... In fact that song came out during the time that he was putting out all of the songs relating to the seperation .. Seperate ways. . Time for us ect ... And since they often spoke about getting back toghther in the days leading up until his death .. By picking this song .. It was her way off acknowleging that thier time ran out that she would have gone back to him .. That she new that that song was HER song ... And that time ran out .. The movie was cathartic to her .. A way that she could express some of her feelings for him as well .. Pretty sure she said she belived they would have eventually got back toghther.... Every time that song plays my ❤ achs especially in that scene .. Knowing what the future heald for the someday they both wanted ... Bwaaahhhh!!!!! Sobbing ..

He says at the time i thought it was a good idea i was tired of being married .. Just trying to live up to an image or something ..and she says to him that they were just kids .. People make mistakes and they stray from thier destinies elvis fought hard to find the meaning of life and to understand and find spirituality .. Also went to great lengths to try to be disciplined .. And to fight temptation .. And in the end he paid for his poor choices .. Some things were changed to protect peoples privacy as to not stir up drama as this movie came out in 88 not long enough after elvis had been gone i think that priscilla was still trying to keep the peace like the scene at the end when he begs her for forgiveness while im sure that they had many in person discussions that went like that that particular scene was derived by a phone call that he had w her shortly before he died and in it he was complaining about Ginger and how she was to young and not as invested in the relationship as she might be if she was older and priscilla asked him if he was so unhappy did he think that he could be faitful to her should they give thier marriage another chance and he said yes now that i know what i lost .. I want my family back and he was no doubt crying and emmotional by that last part and that was one of the last times she spoke w him hence the movie ending on that note and you seeing her in a limo on the way to his funeral .. Now a few years ago she opened up about that phone call in an interview and it was said that it got back to Ginger and it still after all those years caused her to be hurt and kind of clap back as she was engaged to be married to Elvis @ that time so it def would of hurt the narrative of her own love story with elvis .. And priscilla is and was a classy women trying not to have issues with anyone or be disrespctful in any way to elvis his memory or to anyone elses .. As far as this scene goes it took place in his bedroom and it was similiar he told her that this dude ws going to be taking her home she freaked out .. Elvis was furious pacing around talking about how he would kill him much as you see in the part whaire she is trying to calm him down and she warns him that he has made threats against her and elvis threatening to expose thier time up in the bedroom .. Since they were in his room and the dude wasnt standing right thier she was able to calm him down ... W the very real threat this person posed to elvis legally ..his career . and thier relationship .. So instead elvis completely shut the guy out of his life .. Like he showed up as he always had and was met at the gate and told to leave and never new what he had done .. His phone calls unanswered compleltely shut out .. Im sure that the guy would of just assumed take the beating.. So in her narrative she allowed elvis to do what he would have done had she not thrown herself up against the door of his bedroom preventing him from leaving and going out to find this guy ect .. .so what !! Elvis was crazy about her literally insane he tried to hire a hit man to kill her lover when she left .. Do you not think that he would of kicked this guys ass .??. Also i belive this guy was the same one who years later helped to smear her by saying they were actually having a sexual relationship and thats how she came to meet elvis because she had had sex with him to bring her over to the house that night .. And than just like w Ginger she had to deal w this guys b.s years after the fact still causing the trouble that he had promised to make for her and elvis 40 + years earlier .. More like she was a beautiful girl that he had hoped he could sleep w if he brought her to the house but instead elvis stole her from him .. So he got nasty and tried to claim what he felt was his for having introduced the two of them By coming onto her in the car as she had depicted in her movie and in her book .. In this scene elvis is furious and the guy says shes been coming onto me since day 1 .. Omg had the guy been thier and tried to say some stupid stuff like that about priscilla who he new was faitful to him who he always viewed as HIS little girl .. She WOULD not have been able to hold him back and this guy would have made good on his threats .. So thank god she was able to calm him down . did you read the book. ?? How about the part when priscilla and he are living toghether at graceland and she is being stalked by a female fan Nd a bunch of other teens in a car just driving behind her real slow .. And priscilla gets foolish and approaches the car being all loud and agressive and the girl gets out .. They proceed to have a fist fight .. Priscilla is out weighed by ALOT w this girl not to mention the others in the car so she runs to the gate and calls Elvis who comes down and is lifting the car and all of the people that are in it off the ground trying to literally shake them loose from the car yelling and screaming about how dare anyone try to hurt her and that he was going to kill them .. All the while his people are trying to drag elvis from the car priscilla included because the people inside are yelling about being under age and suing him if he doesant allow them to drive away .. So yea he didnt physically assault currie that night but he would have fought for her honor and he did fight for her on other occasions to a crazy extent and risk legal troubles his career ect ..

In my generation, girls supposedly slept with guys mainly either to make them happy or to keep the boyfriend all together, and that's just SAD. REALLY, REALLY SAD. And in the end, what's the use anyway? Because the guy is going to dump you regardless. True love is unconditional, and NOT about mostly getting what you want at ALL times, right?
Not allowed to date at 14? I was born in 1950. When I was that age, in the early 1960s, none of my friends were driving yet. What my mom did was drive me to my boyfriend's family's house and we spent time together at their house during the summer during vacation from school. Also, his mom would bring him to our house. Sex was not one of the things we did. But as for being allowed to GO AND LIVE at someone else's house -- no way LOL. The thing that turns me off about this movie is the the lead who plays Elvis because I don't see him as Elvis, not at all.

While thier falling in love and hes telling her that for the first time since his mother died he now feels safe ....Right before hes due to return to the US and be seperated for two years ( this scene ) when she tells him shes leaving him in the dressing room .. And when he begs her to come back to him right before his death whene they had often spoke about getting back toghether but just ran out of time .... I like to think since she hand picked the people who would play her and elvis ..that she also picked the music ..and she chose the instrumental music for a time for us to represent through out thier relationship how thier was this constant wait for the right time .... The wait to be toghether .. And than the hope that they would find thier way back to each other one day .. as the lyrics say .. Maby one day there will be A time for us .... In fact that song came out during the time that he was putting out all of the songs relating to the seperation .. Seperate ways. . Time for us ect ... And since they often spoke about getting back toghther in the days leading up until his death .. By picking this song .. It was her way off acknowleging that thier time ran out that she would have gone back to him .. That she new that that song was HER song ... And that time ran out .. The movie was cathartic to her .. A way that she could express some of her feelings for him as well .. Pretty sure she said she belived they would have eventually got back toghther.... Every time that song plays my ❤ achs especially in that scene .. Knowing what the future heald for the someday they both wanted ... Bwaaahhhh!!!!! Sobbing ..

Some things were changed to protect peoples privacy as to not stir up drama as this movie came out in 88 not long enough after elvis had been gone i think that priscilla was still trying to keep the peace like the scene at the end when he begs her for forgiveness while im sure that they had many in person discussions that went like that that particular scene was derived by a phone call that he had w her shortly before he died and in it he was complaining about Ginger and how she was to young and not as invested in the relationship as she might be if she was older and priscilla asked him if he was so unhappy did he think that he could be faitful to her should they give thier marriage another chance and he said yes now that i know what i lost .. I want my family back and he was no doubt crying and emmotional by that last part and that was one of the last times she spoke w him hence the movie ending on that note and you seeing her in a limo on the way to his funeral .. Now a few years ago she opened up about that phone call in an interview and it was said that it got back to Ginger and it still after all those years caused her to be hurt and kind of clap back as she was engaged to be married to Elvis @ that time so it def would of hurt the narrative of her own love story with elvis .. And priscilla is and was a classy women trying not to have issues with anyone or be disrespctful in any way to elvis his memory or to anyone elses .. As far as this scene goes it took place in his bedroom and it was similiar he told her that this dude ws going to be taking her home she freaked out .. Elvis was furious pacing around talking about how he would kill him much as you see in the part whaire she is trying to calm him down and she warns him that he has made threats against her and elvis threatening to expose thier time up in the bedroom .. Since they were in his room and the dude wasnt standing right thier she was able to calm him down ... W the very real threat this person posed to elvis legally ..his career . and thier relationship .. So instead elvis completely shut the guy out of his life .. Like he showed up as he always had and was met at the gate and told to leave and never new what he had done .. His phone calls unanswered compleltely shut out .. Im sure that the guy would of just assumed take the beating.. So in her narrative she allowed elvis to do what he would have done had she not thrown herself up against the door of his bedroom preventing him from leaving and going out to find this guy ect .. .so what !! Elvis was crazy about her literally insane he tried to hire a hit man to kill her lover when she left .. Do you not think that he would of kicked this guys ass .??. Also i belive this guy was the same one who years later helped to smear her by saying they were actually having a sexual relationship and thats how she came to meet elvis because she had had sex with him to bring her over to the house that night .. And than just like w Ginger she had to deal w this guys b.s years after the fact still causing the trouble that he had promised to make for her and elvis 40 + years earlier ..

By coming onto her in the car as she had depicted in her movie and in her book .. In this scene elvis is furious and the guy says shes been coming onto me since day 1 .. Omg had the guy been thier and tried to say some stupid stuff like that about priscilla who he new was faitful to him who he always viewed as HIS little girl .. She WOULD not have been able to hold him back and this guy would have made good on his threats .. So thank god she was able to calm him down . did you read the book. ?? How about the part when priscilla and he are living toghether at graceland and she is being stalked by a female fan Nd a bunch of other teens in a car just driving behind her real slow .. And priscilla gets foolish and approaches the car being all loud and agressive and the girl gets out .. They proceed to have a fist fight .. Priscilla is out weighed by ALOT w this girl not to mention the others in the car so she runs to the gate and calls Elvis who comes down and is lifting the car and all of the people that are in it off the ground trying to literally shake them loose from the car yelling and screaming about how dare anyone try to hurt her and that he was going to kill them .. All the while his people are trying to drag elvis from the car priscilla included because the people inside are yelling about being under age and suing him if he doesant allow them to drive away .. So yea he didnt physically assault currie that night but he would have fought for her honor and he did fight for her on other occasions to a crazy extent and risk legal troubles his career ect ..
