She was only 14, her whole teenage years and adulthood was dictated by him, then after she had Lisa he wouldn’t have sex with her. Lisa Marie said “my dads whole side of the family is a chronic situation” when she had Oprah over. So she knows what’s her father’s side was like. Even Lisa has a little attitude like Elvis, but that’s genes I suppose and she said she fired people as s child as her dad did, you learn what you grow up with. I find Cilla very well spoken, soft, wouldn’t argue with a fly, would be easily dominated and truly loved him. After Vernon died of course it all went to Lisa Marie, but she was too young and should thank her mum for making such s huge successful, as apparently he died nearly broke. The things do belong to her daughter, she’s not making money off him like all or most of his friends did. Graceland is theirs and rightly so, even if divorced, it’s Lisa Marie’s and Cilla seems to do all the hard work while Lisa keeping marrying and divorcing. She’s made a huge success. I don’t like his personality at all in this film, but I suspect it’s truthful, I don’t see Cilla lying about him. I think he had a narcissistic mother like mine, which means you are “as one”, you are entwined, you can’t help that. It’s what the mother does, you don’t know where you start and they end. It also creates an attachment disorder no other child and parent have. I know the day my mother dies I will have to as I was only here for her. I’ll have no purpose anymore. It’s a complex disorder and hard to explain. I like Cilla and I even like Lisa as at least she doesn’t act up for the cameras all sweet as light, she shows her “barking” as she calls it. In a narcissistic you argue, that’s what you do daily, they used to throw plates of food at one another, there’s s 5 hour documentary from the guys. It was normal to Elvis, Vernon, his mother dodger. After his mother Cilla knew him best. Good for her and the legacy she created.

At 14 I took my moms credit card and booked a flight from chicago to nashville, checked into the hotel with my best friend and we stayed there a week. Some 14's are different from other 14's in terms on knowledge and 'thinkin we're grown' i look back on that now at 33 and wonder what i was thinking & glad something horrible didn't happen to us.

Was Elvis really that cruel? I know he wasn't perfect but this movie makes him seems so unhappy and mean all the time. From videos and pictures of the real Elvis there were times he did seem happy. I just don't like the way this movie portrayed him.
yes!! becaue of the many prescription medications he was taking. there were some he had to take. elvis also had a double wedged toes stuck together he had a deformity i believe linda thompson brought it up and said she tease elvis about it. and other meds he needed to take dont forget his mom was a drinker she got sick over it and died but i believe even while she was pregnant she was drinking and that cause the death of the twin jesse and left elvis with the deformity he had on his foot his double wedged toes

I thought the actors would be cute together both are married she plays dianne on yr and he played on pet cemetery I think he us now in his 60s and her in her 50s look them out susan walters and Dale midcliff. Graceland's exterior in this movie is used also in ELVIS AND THE BEAUTY QUEEN..Elvis' bedroom looks a little like this, but a little different. You can see his acutal bedroom in the expanded version of THIS IS ELVIS at the beginning of the film. Upstairs is off limits to everyone, I don't know how in the hell cameras were allowed upstairs back in 81.
Priscilla got her karma back with Lisa Marie. The hell she put her parents through sneaking to be with Elvis she got it with Lisa Marie's drug problems. No wonder she had a daughter so she can feel what she made her parents feel.
You know what was so sad. As a Student she didn't do anything in terms of The High School Experience. No Yearbook, Student Council, Cheerleading, and she didn't even have any "real" friends. She must have been so lonely at times. Even when she wanted to "work" Elvis discouraged her. After seeing how hard Mama worked he felt like no Woman who was with him, should have to. yes!! becaue of the many prescription medications he was taking. there were some he had to take. elvis also had a double wedged toes stuck together he had a deformity i believe linda thompson brought it up and said she tease elvis about it. and other meds he needed to take dont forget his mom was a drinker she got sick over it and died but i believe even while she was pregnant she was drinking and that cause the death of the twin jesse and left elvis with the deformity he had on his foot his double wedged toes
and also it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know Elvis had problems yes Priscilla had this great life and blah blah she was with someone we all dream about and should have been very happy and she just had a life we cant begin to imagine but also no matter if someones famous or not and how much money they have at the end of the day that doesnt always mean ur happy he always criticized her and was way too harsh yes he did drugs and stuff which may have contributed but ppl treat him like some god

The bottom line is no one really knows what happened but I can assure you Elvis did not know Ann Margaret when he met Priscilla he only met Ann yrs later when they worked on that film together, it was their life yes everyone wants to know what went on and every little detail but that was yrs ago and I dont think hes coming back anytime soon.

@yasudab1 i know this answer is long over due, but no. This is merely a recreation of graceland's interior. Graceland's exterior in this movie is used also in ELVIS AND THE BEAUTY QUEEN..Elvis' bedroom looks a little like this, but a little different. You can see his acutal bedroom in the expanded version of THIS IS ELVIS at the beginning of the film. Upstairs is off limits to everyone, I don't know how in the hell cameras were allowed upstairs back in 81.

You know what was so sad. As a Student she didn't do anything in terms of The High School Experience. No Yearbook, Student Council, Cheerleading, and she didn't even have any "real" friends. She must have been so lonely at times. Even when she wanted to "work" Elvis discouraged her. After seeing how hard Mama worked he felt like no Woman who was with him, should have to. It was like a "Prison" in it's own way.
