    I bought mine back in 2018 and it's taken over my dining room. If it keeps growing like it's doing I'm going to have to find a bigger place to live that also offers higher ceilings. The only things I did was: Get a big enough pot so it has room to grow, place it in front of the south facing window so it can get full sun (At least from mid-Aug until early-May), place the pot on a few bricks to keep it out of any standing water, clsoe the a.c. vent above it, feed it 5 fertizer sticks twice a year, be sloppy when watering it so the water can evaporate and create a bubble of humidity around it, and prune any dead limbs that I might find about every third month. Nothing much but it must be enough because it's flourishing and quite happy.

    Hi friend, I hope you can help me with a question: I have an araucaria in a house that I bought and its about 3 meters from the building. The house had 30 years old and the pine is over 20m high. In the surroundings, sidewalks, house etc. no affect is seen. Do you think that at this point it can still affects something in the house? Greetings

    • @AdelaBespejo
      @AdelaBespejo  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Arash, sad to hear that and thanks for sharing your experience. After buying the plants, it is not advisable to transfer it immediately on a new pot because it is the common cause of dying of plants. You should place them in bright shaded area without touching the roots and the soil to allow the plant to adjust from the environment of the store to your home. But since it is already done, I think, there may be a problem with the soil that you used to replace. Try changing the potting mix with well draining soil and place in shaded area. Water when the soil is dry. Avoid overwatering.

    Hi, would appreciate any tips you can share please. How to revive our potted pine tree? We had it since last year and it was placed outdoors. It is not looking as green as it used to now. Brown needles. I want to save it, if I can. I moved it to the front porch but it is still exposed to direct sunlight. Should I move it somewhere cooler, with less exposure to the sun?
    Please advise. I hope it is not too late. Thank you.

    • @AdelaBespejo
      @AdelaBespejo  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Jo, sorry for the late response. Try to place the plant in area with bright and indirect sunlight or shaded area. Also, it may be caused by infestation in the roots that needs repotting using a new soil which is drench with insecticide and fungicide.
