That's one thing I dislike about the Austrian bikes, You have to spend half a mil. to protect everything. What's the point of all the weight savings when you have to add it all back on and then some to protect it.
You don't HAVE to take the extra measures and expense. If a BluCru rider continuously rides and exposes themselves and their moto to risky situations I'm sure the rider wod be looking for ways to insure their ride ends they way they want it to. I bet the track only KTMs don't have the desire to keep adding weight unless bling is what is all about. And you know bling is everything to some riders regardless of terrain.
@@scottforrest2246 Not true. I own both a yzx and a ktm 250xc. My yz doesn't need chain guard tab protectors, tps guard, a fan, a guard for the radiator hose, a metal gas petcock because it already comes with one and I'm sure I'm leaving out a bunch of other crap. One of them is more "ready to race" than the other. Guess which one.
@@seanwahl1000 @Rizzo44 Rizzo Point taken. Of what you mentioned I see the metal TPS guard and coolant line guard as true needs of some model years. Honestly though I think much of what KTM trail riders spend on hard parts is not needed. I've heard chain guide tabs are at risk yet I've not seen one broken in the wild. A friend has a track only YZ450 and hung new hard parts and graphics all over it. Overkill to me but he likes the looks and justifies the cost as insurance for finishing his races. You still have a KTM, can't be all that bad after all. I only have one bike to ride so I've added disc guards and the metal TPS cover, made a coolant line guard from stuff laying around. My OEM fuel tap is metal, no desire or need to change that.
That’s a lovely looking piece of engineering 👍
Looks really nice! FYI - light color tip ties are not rated for heat or UV rays - switch those out for good black zip ties (look better anyway).
That’s s one sweet looking billet guard!
Does it look like this cover will work if you have the Enduro Engineering starter wire guard on? That wire seems more prone to getting damage. Thanks
It works with the EE wire guard
Hey did you get any case covers in jeff for the 2023 Ktm 300xc??
Not yet.
I’d love to have a 250 2stroke for sure, brrrrapp brrraapp.

@@scottforrest2246 That is true. A lot of KTM guys (especially older guys) are putting on a ton of stuff they don't need. It's like a hobby for them.
@@seanwahl1000 Ab-so-lutely. So does the factory.
Personally I just don't see the need for this particular product......
