- Shortly after midnight on Sunday May 26th, Station 50 along with mutual aid from Lampeter, Lancaster Township, Blue Rock, West Willow, and New Danville were dispatched to a mobile home fire in the 1000 block of Willow Street Pike. Initial reports were of two people unaccounted for. Engine 502 arrived and laid a supply line back the driveway and Engine 66-1 picked it up for a water supply. The Engine crew stretched a line to extinguish the fire while the crews from Rescue 905 and Truck 50 made their was inside to search. Several quick searches were made throughout the trailer, and all were negative. Crews were in service for several hours waiting for the PSP fire marshal, doing overhaul, and then cleaning up and getting the apparatus back in service. Willow Street Fire Company. Taken 5/26/24
Engine 502 is a 2010 Pierce Arrow XT

FAQs-
Q: "Where is this?"
A: Our fire house is located in the town of Willow Street, just south of Lancaster City, Lancaster County Pennsylvania.
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
Q: "Why is the call so far away?" or "Why does it take so long to get there?"
A: Many of our responses, or at least many of the ones that are uploaded are responding to assist other departments. Usually another firehouse can be seen or is passed by who is already on the call. We can reach the far end of our first due in West Lampeter Twp within 5 minutes, and in Providence Twp about 7.
Q: "What camera are you using?"
A: For dash cams I use a GoPro Hero 7, helmet cam videos I use a FireCam 1080
That was an excellent response. I have seen some departments take longer to run lines and get water on a fire than the entire video length here. An excellent job done.
If there is reported entrapment, they usually haul @ss
99 percent of departments would have taken 5 plus minutes to get the hoses out. This was top notch
For those of us who have experienced fire entrapment…THANK YOU! This was a great run!
I am a spectator from Indonesia, watching from the beginning of the Unit's departure to the location, it was a very valuable lesson, salute to the fire fighter skills and teamwork... nice to meet you from 🇮🇩
Great video, showing one of the BEST volunteer 🔥🔥🔥🚒🚒 Departments in the nation. Responded to my father’s death.
This is scary! Just comfirms gor me the real danger of mobile homes. They go up fast and hot and will definitely endanger all the other mobile homes around it. I lived in one for a few years and was always worried about that. Never again. Thanks to the brave men and women who put themselves in the line of fire literally!
Excellent nighttime video, great catch. Keep them coming! Greetings from Lancaster, CA. (Los Angeles County). Please stay safe!
You're video just shows that you 14:10 are the best in Pennsylvania and you are a volunteer fire department. Everyone of you should be extremely proud of the work you do. I still think you guys should be at least partially paid.So you had personnel at the station all the time it's deserved and needed
God bless firemen and first responders.
Great job as always guys.
really like the driver drives it like a sports car
Gotta get to the calls fast but safe, but the driver has probably had years of experience behind the wheel, he drives it like he stole it. Hell yea go get um brothers
I was at the barn fire on the other end of the county while this was happening.
Just waiting for the armchair warriors to make stupid comments. Nice job 50.
Whoever's low air alarm is already going off at 10:45 (5 minutes on scene time) should take interest in fire police
Or a bottle wasn't properly filled. Lots of other possibilities.
Even as Fire Police, they would do more than you...
@@haroldenglish943 Thats funny, your only response is the bold assumption that I do not know what I am talking about instead of agreeing that fat boy is doing a disservice to trapped victims and fellow firefighters alike. Idk in my department we call that attitude cancer.
Get off your ass and do something with your life instead of telling the pros how to do their job.
mobile home fires are scary they go up so fast due to the way their built. I live in a camper year round and am mindful about this as they are even more cheaply built. hopefully they did get out in time
I was on a mobile home fire last summer on the EMS side, and the entire place was engulfed in 3 minutes
Good work guys!
GO GET EMMMM BROTHERS
Jesus, this is one reason i dont want to live in a trailer. You just need to prepare to lose everything when theres a fire. I hope they didnt lose anything they cannot replace, and hopefully they get a good insurance payout, what a shame.
What a great video Apparently i was the 1K like woo hoo. Stay safe y'all from a brother out of Mayland
Soooo scary
Dose Lancaster city normally respond on your calls or are they to far away
Used to be the other way. 75 years ago Lancaster City had 6 stations and many fires. Now have 3 stations and get help from surrounding vol companies
Aweosme
Love the new outro
Hell Yeah Brothers! JOBTOWN!!!
Wus ene wun in mobile home that wus on fire?
How large is your engines tank?
What’s the constant single-tone beeping in the background while in the truck? It’s going off once a second
It’s a seatbelt alarm
Could be active911
@@mr_agent8543 Nah Active doesn’t have those tones as far as I’m aware I’ve heard a Pierce seatbelt alarm a million times that’s what it is.
@@paintballgaming1090it is, dang seatbelt alarm is annoying when you got a run.
@@Evolutionracing2 It is indeed I mean they should have their seatbelt on but I’ve ridden without mine on the way to a fire quite a few times
Did truck 50 get dispatched to this fire
I think I heard them say they were enroute while 502 was enroute at some point
Those guys were hauling ass wreckless driving.
It's what you do when you have possible entrapment
Nobody:
Volunteers at 3am: *HONKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK/dual siren+Q*
Paid departments do the same thing lol. If your lights are on your siren needs to be going as well.
@@paintballgaming1090actually they don’t always. Sometimes just the lights will be activated
@@jayasmrmore3687 Which is also against the law. If the lights are on the siren needs be going as well like I said previously.
@@paintballgaming1090 have you heard of a code 2 response
@@jayasmrmore3687 I do this for a living almost everyday yes I know what a code 2 response is. In my county a code 2 response is still no lights and no sirens. In a fair amount of states as I’ll say for the 3rd time if the lights are on a lot of state laws mandate the siren must be on as well.
hi utube
The description is ot 100% Clear. Did 2 people die?
Whats the thing thats spinning on the truck? Is that a light??
Q: "What is the spinning thing?"
A: That is called the "Roto-Ray," it is a spinning light designed to catch drivers attention.
I found this in the description of the video, I’ve always wondered what it was also!
