A bit of a sensitive subject today. I never really realized that getting burnt out can happen to anyone. But it's hard to understand if you haven't been through it yourself, or seen it with someone close to you. As I mention in the video, I was looking down at people who were not working as much as I did. And today I feel so stupid for being so narrow minded. It's not lazy people who burn out, but more commonly those who are really eager to walk the extra mile to make a good job. Thank you all for the love and support I've gotten through this time. It means alot! And I wish that you all take care of yourselves out there ✨
Cassie,I will keep you in my prayers!! Stay hopeful, its just temporary what you are going through! Do not feel stupid as you say! I have been in the same situation you have been in! Stay positive and be happy! GOD will bless you,Cassie! I hope you know him,and always glorify him! In this video you are reflecting on who you are in where your going! I see a success story,to be honest!! I will be praying for you,Cassie!!
Boa noite amiga linda..Você mora num belíssimo país. Sua cidade e muito bonita. Você também é linda demais. Você é à melhor Motorista mulher. Merece mil flores parabéns ótimo exelente vidios menina. Abraço amiga obrigada
Oh yes,, been there, done that. I got knocked down too, with stress and was burned out. Terrible. So I understand exactly what you are going through. Fortunately I did not get depression. But I did get some damage to my brain, so I can't handle the challenges it is working as an electrical and refrigeration technician. But I can drive. And I have had the C-E license since I was 19 years old, and I've been lucky to find an easy and simple part time job as a truck driver 🙏😊 Taking walks in the forrest is good, take your time, and train your mind to appreciate and be grateful for anything that you have and can. 🙏 😊 If I can be of any help, feel free to write and ask. All the best.
❤ Cassie, even if you die on the job, you will be replaced the next day, no matter how many times we think we have a great employer, we're still just a number or an object to them, look after yourself first. Just do what you need/want to do, I don't follow this channel because of the trucks, (or the baking lol), I follow it for you & your addictive & calming personality. Get yourself better & back to full strength, sending you huge hugs & the very best of luck with your new job.
And yet, some people are hard to replace. Something I had to remind my boss about a lot of years ago. I told him that if he ever dared to call me unmissable, I would quit my job on the spot. I did leave that company in the end and while they do of course manage to continue just fine, they did lose some valuable input that they still haven't managed to find a new solution for. While everyone can be replaced, you're not always just a number. And plenty of people are missed when they leave, and often for the right reasons. But in your life there is one thing we must never forget: always take care of ourselves first and if you have a good employer, he'll give you every opportunity to do so.
I ticked "Like" because you should be proud of yourself Cassie, Making this video was a huge thing, It's hard and personal to open about the inside things that are all too easy bottled away. There are a lot of people who think and care about you out here. Stay safe, strong and above all, don't work too hard. xx
It's not easy to talk about mental health problems, good on you for doing it and hopefully the worst is behind now. And nice to see you behind the wheel again :) (also, doggos and a cat :))
The way those crap boss's treated you was criminal, it was certainly their loss when you left ! You are a beautiful, amazing person, and I'm so happy that things are turning out right for you ! Your health and happiness are top priority, take care Cassie ! XXX
We call them Slavendrijvers in Dutch.. Slave drivers. They think they own you and you are just their property to be exploited the way they see fit. I'm not a truck driver myself, I work logistics as a forklift driver and I have heard stories about the same thing happening here in the Netherlands. Especially when it comes to East European drivers.
"I want you to work over Christmas, but I don't want to pay you anything extra". "I will take the repair costs out of your pay". How are these people still in business? I have been hounded out of a job by a lousy boss, and suffered a full nervous breakdown as a result. So I know fully what you went through. That was 23 years ago, I still have issues that are a product of that time. I truly hope you get to where you want to be in life without hassle from bad bosses. Take care of yourself, and I mean be absolutely selfish in that. You are the only you there is, there isn't another you in the entire world. You are the most important person to you. Thank you for sharing your story, I hope it has helped you greatly by telling it to us all out here. We are all behind you xx
A brave topic to air publicly, it takes a strong person to do that in itself. Its good to hear you recognised the problem and sought help, and great to hear your well on the road to what you feel as normality 😁 Work to live and not live to work, all work and no enjoyment of free time soon takes its toll. Great to see you smiling and admire you for telling your story of your burn out. Keep doing what you enjoy, all the best 👌🤞
I’m so glad you found a doctor that understood your situation and gave you the help you so desperately needed. I was the same and my doctor saved my life, I’m sure of that. Very brave to share your story, I hope it helped. I look forward to sharing the next chapter in your life. Take care of yourself x
Thanks for beeing honest and so straight forward .Myself i worked as a car mechanic full time and restored old cars at home...26 years and then just one day my tears came rollin down and i lost all my power...After 2 month feeling horrible,i suddenly realized that i want too work as a child and youth worker...That changed my life too the better.Had one sentence in my head one day, saying you only live once, why not do something great. With all repect too both the professions as a mechanic and the truck drivers..My father was i truck driver for many years, but he always said when he retired, that the industry is getting tougher and sadly it is beeing a heavy load on the drivers and the people who maintain and recues when the trucks brakes down. All my best wishes goes too you Cassie and i really hope that you find your way...The show goes on....
HI Cassie is great to see you, in a new video. Want to let you know that you are a strong brave woman, thank God you did find the friend that told you what was happening and then you had the courage to get up talk to a doctor and get help. I always have enjoyed your videos, you always smiling and getting the job done. In this new part of your life, work and everything else I sincerely wish you the best, that you can feel back at home in what you do and with your personal life. To end this message I'll want to say that what an amazing walk through the woods and what a beautiful sunset, you are lucky to leave in such amazing place. From the bottom of my heart, I'll be cheering for you that all goes well and everything goes back on track. Greetings from Florida 🇺🇸. Stay safe and always happy.
I'm sorry you got to the point of burn out my dear. Unfortunately it hits everyone uniquely and no 2 people suffer the same way over the same incidents. You are a beautiful person and will come thru this much stronger. We ALL want the best for you my dear. Thank you for reaching out to us and explaining your feelings on this. We can pay better attention to you and relate, maybe even foresee a looming issue. All our love and support.
That must have been difficult sharing your problems on here, i'm sure everyone appreciates it. Onwards and upwards for you hopefully. Best wishes for the future coming your way (from the UK) :)
I think I recorded this video three times while I was still going though the most difficult stuff, but always decided to delete it. But now I felt like it's the perfect time, because I really wanted to share my story :D Thank you so much for your comment and well-wishing! Have a lovely week! :)
Hello Cäzzie, my name is Erik and I'm from Sweden too! I just wanted you to know that you are a huge inspiration for me! I wish I could have witnessed your journey through all of this, first hand. But I have a feeling that I already know a lot. You are such an amazing human being, you spread happiness wherever you drive and go. I'm glad you had such a good friend ;) that could at least try and help you notice the conveniences that could arise from working too hard. I also believed that you were always strong enough to "get through" this, even though it's not that correct to say. I hope you always had the help you needed, when needed. I really hope things work out for you in the future. A burn out can be life changing, or an eye opener. But usually, if you try hard enough to learn from it, will always lead to a better future. I hope you read my comment and know that you're a fantastic person and I will always, forever try and be there for you. With love, Le Chef.
18:39 jUST LIKE THE SUN COMING OUT FROM BEHIND THE CLOUDS OVER THE VAST HORIZON , YOU ARE A RAY OF SUNSHINE . NEVER GIVE UP CASSIE, WE ALL LOVE WHO YOU ARE.
Remember Cassie, we all love watching your videos and care about you, working as hard as you can to make as much money as you can is not a bad thing , neither is being a workaholic isn't either but for your own well being remember to take time for your self, I watch a lot of trucking videos, because I'm addicted to all things truck related and car and motorcycle related, or anything thing that can be driven , but your videos are inspiring and calming, keep making videos and keep trucking if that's what you really enjoy, but taking care of yourself is the first priority, I think most of us watching your channel understand when you can't make your videos, much love and hugs from Wisconsin
My heart aches for you knowing that you feel the way you do. Even though there is such great distance between us, I think you often and hope so much that you are now in the healing mode.
We ❤ you Cassie and support you! Look how many of us fans have commented, from all of the comments, you are well loved! We are the luckier ones! 😊😃👍👍❤💯💯💯
Bit late to the party here, but can relate. I can't help but nod along at what you were saying, since I had all this happen to me, a number of times over the years, for the best part of 30 years now. Pretty much every emotion you can think of, I have had to either learn to accept and live with or fight off and say 'no, I'm not a failure, I have not failed, I'm not a loser or weird, or a bad person'.. Ive had many cycles of this happening to me, each time the period of feeling okay gets thin. I know I will come out the other side, get back into work, still wonder what the hell I'm supposed to be doing with my life and then get depressed again and go through the mess all over again. I can really relate to how free it feels to be on the open road, I love driving. I love seeing the countryside and being around nature. So whenever I get a really dark day, I just try to look at the bigger picture. Life is life, it doesn't have to be all about where you're supposed to be going, or what you're supposed to be doing, because you just do whatever feels right at the time. When you free yourself of limits and deadlines and stop pushing yourself so hard, you give life a chance to just unfold at its own speed. As for the Trucking industry, yeah - no one cares at all, they are all hard cold ignorant and selfish - they just want more money, more deliveries made, more money and that's it. Nah - that's not the way you should work. You should work on YOUR terms, telling everyone else that if they want something hauling, you can haul it but then you decide what you do after that, not them. Get your own Truck, haul on your terms, live by your rules. Get well soon, enjoy those sun beams as they dance through the leaves of the trees. Enjoy the green, enjoy the animals, the birdsong, the breeze against your face as the seasons change. God bless.
Not recognizing the fact that you have such health issues is not strange. For me I got remarks about me sighing all the time... deep sighs I took me months to understand and recover. And it took me 2 burn outs to start seeing that I'm going towards one. Good for you to talk about it. It helps as well! Take care of yourself, you are most important. But enjoy what you do and stop fighting things you cannot change. Love your videos, Cassie!
Thanks for sharing your story. It changed my paradigm of Sweden 🇸🇪 I had this impression that folks in Sweden didn’t even work 40 hours. But what you’re talking about is similar some jobs in USA 🇺🇸 and the same thing happens to the folks here. They get burnt out which leads to many health problems. Good luck 🍀 with your new job and please keep us posted. Take care.
I used to work at the railway and that's a totally different world from the one far to many truck have to experience. No one would ask you to fix your train when broken. Of course you would be paid even if there was no train to drive. I worked 40 hours BUT only three days a week. Three days work and four days free. I loved it! Always remember - there is so much more to life than work! Glad to see you "back on track (🙂) " again. ❤️ Ps. Love your dogs and cat! ❤️ Ds.
I am a truck driver and just returned back to work after 7 weeks off with depression, It can be a lonely and stressful job some of the time. hope you feel better soon.
I can relate to everything you say. Stress is a terrible thing, I suffered the same symptoms but didn't realise it was the job causing all the illness. Trucking is in the blood, just need to find the job that suits you (hopefully this one does) if not move on to the next one until you find a job you enjoy doing and for a company that appreciates you, be loyal only to yourself and find a driving job you look forward to going to, there are good jobs and good companies, just keep looking until you find one that feels right, I have and now the stress and mental heath issues have disappeared. Take care and speedy recovery
You are brave to bare your soul so openly and honestly in such a public forum. I'm reluctant to give lifestyle advice because I have realised that what works for me doesn't work for most other people. You are working out how to get balance in your life. Balance between doing things other people ask (or demand) and what you need to do for your own well-being. Most employers are driven to make profit and they really don't care what impact their demands have on employees. Look after your well-being first. Hang in there Cassie, you may be an introvert but you are intelligent, you can always find a solution to your problems.
You are a sensitive but vulnerable person. You have many qualities and you want to do your best in your work. Unfortunately your efforts are not recognized and this affects you. Your shyness prevents you from asserting yourself. Be confident, you do a great job and you are brave. Don't change anything, stay yourself, do what you love and you'll get insurance. You'll enjoy surpassing yourself. You are not alone, you have friends who love you and admire you. You and Angelica are amazing. ❤️❤️❤️💋
I agree to everything you wrote, except for the last sentence. Cassie is herself, Angelica is another truck driver. It's not because they are female truck drivers that they are the same. Obviously, and I'd agree with you, it may took them something in common: they had to run the extra mile to be accepted into this world, IMHO.
@@pbianchi3412 I would sign your post if I'm allowed to. Exactly my thoughts. This is about Cassie and she deserves our full attention here. Head-up, Cassie, we are with you. Best wishes from a complete stranger... 😉
We love you Cassie here in England and we wish you all the luck and send all the love to you and your pets. I'm proud of you for sharing your deepest thoughts which has helped me understand also a lot. Wish I could give you a great big hug but instead I send them over the airwaves. God Bless you Cassie and thank youxxxxxxxxxxx
Greetings from Scotland! When we are young and feel fit, we think we are indestructible! I completely understand everything that you talked about during your walk in the beautiful forest Cassie. I had a boss who took advantage of my love of long distance driving. With another driver I drove from Northern Scotland to the South of France, or Spain or Italy, only stopping for fuel and food. After 4hrs "rest" when we got there before loading and returning again home again. 1 day off per week (when I slept for the whole day!) then I serviced my own or the other vehicles (I was also a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic) and then off to the south to do it all again! There is a limit to how long your body and mind can take this punishment before they "break". Like you, I became ill and had to go to hospital. I was easily cured but I never recovered properly. It affected me a lot more than I realised and I eventually had a heart attack at 32 years of age! That meant my license had to be handed in and my long distance driving days were finished, just like that! Like you I felt a curious mix of guilt and elation! But I believe it was my body's way of telling me "ENOUGH!" I guess you could say I learned the hard way? Like you I have tried many other things in life bur I listen to a big diesel pulling hard on the way past and I get an overwhelming urge to go back - I can't do that, it's not possible. However, you may be able to Cassie. Get well slowly (don't try to rush this!) and see what fate brings past your door of life - it may surprise you! Most of all HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF! You're young and smart, you'll survive this and thrive. Meantime, just enjoy your time off while you can! Your gorgeous dogs and the cat need you right now! :)) P.S. I almost forgot - you could always video another baking session???? :)) I really enjoyed that! :)) Good luck in the new job Cassie!
I know what you're talking about. I did it the office way and had a bit different symptoms, but the bottom line is, I had to learn to listen to my body, not my ambition. You need to know what is too much and just not do it. Companies like to exploit young people who have good stamina and don't know better, but it's not right or what you should be capable of. You will keep getting better over the years and a big part of that is changing your own mindset about what to expect from yourself. You have not failed, you have just tried to do more than you can and found out what that causes. Now you are wiser.
I’m glad you are feeling better now, burn out is a huge problem in modern life and too many ppl disregard their mental health. Mental health is so very very important and I want to thank you for being so open and honest. More attention needs to go into showing it’s ok to get help when you need it and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. I hope you continue to feel better Cassie, lots of love
Excellent. It's very important people make these videos, so those who need to know about burnout and depression stumble upon real information and experiences, instead of listening to their own thoughts and the stigma around mental health. And important for others to stop spreading false information about something they know nothing about. Like you said, it's a medical condition, an illness, that are treated accordingly. That has to be said, out loud, to someone with the symptoms. The other way I would put it: if you think you might have a depression, get your ass in a hospital. Ask someone to take you there if it's too difficult. No, you won't get over it, and you can't check if it's' a symptom for another illness, which is the first thing they will do at the hospital From someone still walking on this earth after a burnout and severe depression: thank you for doing the video Cassie. Take all the time you need. It's possible to work big hours again (safely) when you get better. Not saying you should, just reporting that you'll get better and you'll be stronger afterwards and you sure can. But you also have to be on top of the depression and a bit wary while working close to your physical limits. Knowing that you're not actually a weaker person or any worse worker can be quite uplifting, I think. Also knowing depression, if nothing else works and it gets to that, having to take medication for the rest of your life is also not a setback! Some people need that even for the mildest form of depression. I don't/didn't, but I now know people that need to take them some months in a year to help the body keep the depression at bay. Anyway, you got this. I can see that all the way from here, Finland. Best wishes!
Hi Cassie☺ I'm so sorry to here of your troubles, what you describe your going through, I've been through the same thing, this is more common than people think, but not many people are willing to talk about it, I think your very brave, and olso it's a positive move on your part to talk about this, accepting what the problem is means your starting to move forward whith your life, you will have to be careful your enthusiasm to get trucking doesn't end up giving you stress which could result in your health suffering again, don't let anybody pressure you, whatch out for the signs, and if necessary take some more time for yourself, you've all your life in front of you, please look after yourself, this is heartfelt advice from a fellow sufferer, stay safe, best wishe's, Stuart.uk. x
Young lady u keep your head up. You are one of the toughest truckers I've seen . Never be ashamed cause u young lady are a winner get yourself together and truck on
Hey Cassie, what a very frank and honest talk about the way you feel. It takes a very special person to open up and share their feelings, so well done you. I can't believe your wages were docked just because their crappy under maintained truck kept breaking down!! Anyway, I'm glad that you sought medical advice and are now heading towards feeling better in yourself. I do hope that your new job is more suited to you and that you will be happier in your work, you are a very good driver. As many others have mentioned, you have a large fan base out here, and I'm sure that we are all behind you and give you the respect that you deserve. You have some really beautiful scenery in your part of the world by the way! Take care and be safe, best wishes from the Isle of Wight ;-)
Your INDEPTH sharing of Your HEALTH is SO BEAUTIFULLY Intelligent!! I am NOW feeling like a "dad' or "grandpa", TO YOU!! I look forward to YOUR SHARING!!
Cassie,, don't push yourself to much, time is a great healer and laughing is great a medicine. only you will know when your ready.. so please be careful ,lots of walks with your pets sounds and looks good .Sweden looks a lovely place to live.. my heart goes out to you x
You chose the right time for this story - you have figured things out and your mind is in a better place. Thank you for sharing, you told the story very well. Take care of yourself, and best wishes towards a full recovery.

Just Seen this Video this evening 3 feb 22 just this week subscribed to your Channel. Felt really sorry for you, i love the way you bought it across, and really glad that you have overcome this Problem, an inspiration for others who may have the Same problem. Just enjoy life,no stress and enjoy trucking again. Keep your Videos coming, they are really relaxend to watch. Greetings from a grandad in germany 🙂
Thanks so much for telling us about how you've been. Please don't think that you're alone in this. I've been coping with anxiety for 20 years now. Everything you told us I've experienced. I've felt like a lab rat with doctors that keep trying medications. I lack my old yearning of getting out and doing something, anything. I'm always tired. I'm 74 now but in good physical shape so I've been feeling like a loser for along time. Hang in there and be tough. Keep busy so your mind has something new to see and experience. I've truly loved your video's and appreciate what you accomplished. Good luck with the new job. Don't let taking videos tire you out. We can wait to see you when your ready. Be safe in all you do.
I can totally relate….with the depression as well, medication, doctors, signed off work. It’s hard to explain how draining depression is, everything takes such a huge effort, even things that are usually enjoyable, it’s like a brick wall. Well done for coming out the other side happier.
You are doing the right thing. I wasn't a trucker, I spent 43 years as an industrial Mechanic, keeping manufacturing plants going. working long hours, multiple shifts, call in's during the middle of the night because it was the only way I knew. Then, one day I ran into the same health problems as you but at a much older age than you, older doesn't always mean wiser! Stick to your plan, listen to your body and life will turn out the way it's intended to. Good luck with your new job, and I'll be here waiting for your next post.
I’m so amazed that your cat just follows you along on the walk, never seen that before - next level stuff.. Also glad you’re no longer at the place you were talking about. Wish you to manage to stay away or at least to keep any trips exceedingly short.
It is Monday here in the states. Just wanted you to know that I (and many thousand other people) are thinking of you today. We love you. We love your smile, the way you walk, the way you cuddle and hug you dogs and cat. you are such a great little human being. Thank you for letting us know you!
Cassie, first thing is your health, that's number one. You are wise to have realised this that trucking is not all it's cracked up to be, I wish you the best in your health and future in whatever you do.
Many, many moons ago I worked in night security. For a time I was on the road as a Patrol Inspector. Some years later, just after I had left, I looked through my 'Log Book' at the hours I had been working. For over 10 weeks straight I was paid for over 100 hours a week. On those weeks where I took no days off, I was working 115 hours per week. Get up, Go to work, Go home and sleep. Repeat. It creeps up on you slowly, then you fall. But you learn. I had one YEAR where I expected each week to be my last. That was stressful. But you learn, and you are stronger for it. Now I work 20 hours a week. I can live on that. Now, as others below have said, I work to live, not live to work. Walking with nature in the woods with your dogs, (and cat :-), IS a good way to de-stress. I always found that sitting by a river took the tension away with the flow down stream, as does watching the waves lap up against a sea wall. Of course, seeing Vigo disappear down stream might be a little less relaxing! Keep Safe Cassie. Each day at a time :-).
Cassie. Thankyou for your story. So sorry to hear you were so sick please look after yourself now. I love your passion for your work I feel I know you more now. I have had many times when I have doubted myself but family rescues me just at the right moment I'm ok now take care. Talk soon
Loosing confidence is tough no matter where in your career it happens. I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. We're here for you!
Yup, I recognise this story. When I was 21 I was driving freight trains as I still do, but also drove trucks after my hours. So much I had to turn back kilometer (this dates back to paper tachographs) despite it being a second job. I did this till I was 29, so 8 years. Then I got sick and my body gave me a big warning! I still work a lot, but I listen to my body now. I can echo the thoughts of looking down at people who work normal weeks. I never realised when I was younger that I was the stupid one. I was also hooked on my beloved Scania164 V8, I went from the cab of my train to the truck and back. Going home only occasionally. I had a lot of fun, but it is only when it is to late I found out how self-destructive it was. I’m now 35 and I still feel I need more sleep than before I crashed and burnt.
Take care of you Cassie, you are very courageous to talk about this openly like that. I have been on your situation, its not easy, its painful, its discouraging...Things will get better, you are still young don't lose hope, you are a wonderful human being...we are all with you. :)
Thank you for sharing with us my dear. Fullest respect for the fact that you talk about such a difficult topic and it makes me so happy that things are looking well again =) Stay healthy!
So proud of you Cassie. Your decision is admirable. That smile when you look at the sky … I can tell that’s coming from deep within you. Good luck in this next chapter of your life.
Hi Cassie! I got myself into a similar situation. Not working as many hours as you were, however the physical stress on my body as well as the constant struggle with time management just made me snap and I couldn't take it anymore. This was at the end of March. I was off for a month and in that time I decided to reduce my work hours and also decide myself when I could and would work as opposed to an employer telling me I have to work. Ok the economy is less but what good is a bunch of money if your health is bad and you don't get to spend it. Take care
Onwards and upwards cassie its good to see your video depression is a hard thing to cope with having been there myself all the best for the upcoming job and future never give up your dream it always helps to talk about your feelings no matter how trivial they may seem keep smiling cassie you and Angelica are a inspiration to the female trucking industry ❤
Wow, sorry to hear what has been troubling you. Hope the new job is right for you and above all, make sure you prioritise yourself and your needs. Take care and we will all look forward to the next instalment.
Thank you for sharing Cassie. It is always nice to see a video from you. We all need to take care of ourselves mentally and physically. I went through a divorce a couple of years ago. I sought help from a professional with the encouragement of a friend. I know it helped me a lot. I think sometime people don't know where to turn to for help and think why is this happening. Talking to someone can help. Enjoy the new job.
I burned out on a job too. Resigned. Took 6 months off (but with no medical help) and was persuaded to go back as they couldn't fill my position. I was smart enough to go back for only 6 months. Fortunately I had another career that I enjoyed though it was hard physically. I am pleased that you can talk this out with us. I am sure that you are helping thousands of others by doing this, I hope it helps you as well. I do hope the Labour Relations Board in your country watches this video and has a close look at a few employers. First world countries normally have laws against abuse of employees. The problem is that the abuse has to be reported and few of us feel able to do that and add to our stress with the follow-up. When I was well I have filed reports to help other employees who were being treated badly. I also suffered watching and supporting my wife though depression and burn-out. She was able to get psychiatric help. Not enough but better than none. She too will speak freely about depression and mental health.
Hi Cassie, I am feeling your pain because i did the exact same thing at the exact same time, massive headaches, uncontrollable shakes, no energy always sleepy, my bosses didn`t care they just wanted the work out, as a heavy diesel mechanic (38 years) fixing what you drive is not good to be in that condition, but you still want to push on because that`s what we do. please take you time fix your self and be happy inside because you are the one that counts, I am still working through it myself.
Great video Cassie. I am so glad you are getting through it. You must look after yourself mentally and physically. We are only here once (I believe) and there is more to life than work. Take care and good luck👍🏼🏴
I was always a seafarer and am still in my heart. I am old now. The beauty of the night skies when you are away from land is indescribable. You can be lonely but you are never alone. You see stars and satellites in the night sky. I started working ashore in an office and lost all of that, lots of pressure and always checked by management that you were in sitting at your desk ‘doing something’. I would prefer going back to sea or being a truck driver like you, do not lose your heart, every job has too much pressure. But in most jobs you cannot be free like the wind, more so if you work in an office. My choice would be to be like you.
great video Cassie glad you are doing better and you are doing the right thing talking about your feelings thumbs up to you thanks for sharing take care and have a wonderful weekend
it was very brave of you to open up about yourself and i,m sure it happens more than you possible realise and you should always take care of yourself first, i think its so important to speak about how over working can effect people it affects us all in different ways it take real courage and show the kind of person you are to speak about it your stronger than you think stay safe and stay positive
Don’t give up your passion in driving trucks Cassie. I watch your videos and you always have a smile when driving. Cassie We all go thru different stages of life in difficulty and situations, but we again solve them. Nothing to be embarrassed about in seeking medical help and advice as some times we cannot solve them on our own. You are on the right track of recovery as near the end of you video you are talking about getting back into the grove of trucking. In my profession I had my up & downs, mentally as well physically, but I overcome them all! Lately I just watch a girl on UA-cam that lives in Grundtjarn, Jonna Jinton, and watch all her 53 blogs episodes. Jonna had enough of the big city of Gothenburg when she was young and moved to the north of Sweden to start her life all over. Now she is happy, has her own business and married. I find her blogs very peaceful and wish I could have live that lifestyle.. Maybe u should look her up and watch, or if u ever pass thru Grundtjarn say hello. Take care of yourself Cassie & stay healthy 😘
Hi there Cassie! I really found your video very relatable in many similar ways. When you mentioned that you had no energy or desire to do any of the things you previously enjoyed, I thought "She's dealing with depression". I been through the same thing. It's hard in sooo many ways, especially recognizing that you have a problem and that you need help. I'm very happy that you made the decision to take care of yourself, especially when those you were working for didn't appreciate you! I believe that for anyone to have a balanced life with work you need to do the things that make you smile away from work. I think that some form of involvement in working with animals may still be in your horizon. I say that from me just watching your interaction with your pets! You seem like a very gentle, soft spoken person that has that special inner-self that animals are drawn towards. All that being said, take care of yourself and remember to make time for the most important person (Cassie)!! 🤗😘🙏🏻 Bye!
Cassie, you are a wonderful, smart girl!Your videos and broadcasts are very interesting. You work, and that already means a lot!You work not only for yourself, but also for your country! We have few women working in trucks in Russia.Basically, this is male hard work.Regarding your thoughts:yes,in the process of work, anything can happen, after all,a person is not a machine, not a robot. The main thing is that the work is pleasant and successful. You like your job,and it's good!I wish you,Cassie,a good mood and happiness-in work and in everyday life!
I have seen the signs too. Fortunately nothing advanced in myself, but several times with friends. But I did quit a job that would have me driven into a burn-out eventually just a few months back. Quitting a well-paying, secure job during a hot pandemic is really something. (Still very happy I did it. Just thinking about it makes me smile.) Fortunately, I could extend a side-job by a bit and where the people there happy about that. But I think I will never again work full-time or close to it. If you can make ends meet with less work, do so. And if you need structure in your job, make sure you get it or look for another one. As to burn-outs, I know somebody that had 3 of them. That person is now officially disabled and can work no more than maybe 2 days a week. So, Cassie, the important thing is to not let that happen to yourself again. I think you have understood all the important aspects and you will know the signs should things get dangerous again. If you act accordingly, you will be fine. And no, getting burned-out is not a sign of weakness or letting others down, even if it feels like that sometimes.
Thank you Cassie for your openness about your situation. It is something I learned myself we all are different and when adversity happens each of us handle it differently but we all need to know our limits and fund the proper balance between work and home life. It definitely is extremely difficult in trucking which is 1 of the reasons I decided to buy my own truck so I could earn more and not be forced to work when my family and wife needs me. It such a difficult balance
Dear Cassie . I have been in your shoes I work for 7 1/2 years at 60 hours a week and some times more then that . It will take a toll on you. you body and Mind with a lot of loss of health. I am very thank full that you took the correct path to find the help and Doctors to get you in better health. Please Don't feel stupid . This is a huge problem with many Companies They get a great employee who is you then they run you in the ground . Maked there Bottom line look great and you never get rewarded for your Hard work that you are putting in but the CEO is making a ton of money off of the sweat of all his employers . Thank you for a very personal Video . we are all hear for you . You are a vantastic Driver . you put your hart and soul in to your work on all baseses. Some Day you will find a company that will treat you the correct way .when that happens it will not feel like work and you will really feel great . You are a very beautiful young lady with a great smile and a heart of gold . I will be looking forward to the next Video big or small Love them all
It is good to see you on the mend and will be starting work again soon. It is hard for some to keep a good work balance so one does not burn out. Just stay well and safe Cassie and remember to enjoy the downtime an recharge so you do not burn out. Be well and safe and enjoy your weekend. 🙂🙂
I burnt out working security, then found my love of driving trucks. I'm careful to not go too hard and try my best to take time for myself. Difficult in the U.S. right now due to driver shortage, but I'm doing what i can. Take care of yourself.
Kudo's Ms.. Cassie for your heartfelt story on your breakdown. You have made a great recovery and you'll never regret your decision to change the direction your life was heading. Thank you for being so honest with us your UA-cam family, we support you 100% , you go girl ! Welcome back to your life 👍
Dearest Cassie never forget you are not on your own,all your subscribers/community are with you all the time. look after yourself and its so good to see you and the dogs and cat again. bye for now Cassie.
Unfortunately there's a lot of what you've been through going on. It takes a while when you're young and first starting out to get into something that suits you and people will take advantage until you have experience and know what you want to do. You have done incredibly well to come out the other side in such a positive way and I hope things continue to improve and you find true happiness in whatever you end up doing.
please just take one day at a time, you did not give up,you realized that it was not for you. Please take care of yourself, you are the only one that matters,no one else cares, believe me,the more you work the more they expect. You are special to us, and we support you no matter what you do.God bless you.
Cassie you are a very special person inside and out xx You seem to have been a victim of wanting to work so hard to get the work done only to fall victim to bosses that don't really care about your well being xx I can fully understand where you are coming from in the video I used to get too involved in my work and my mind would get blinded by it xx Good to see you have taken a big step outside of your uncomfortable Zone and got medical advice and are clearing your head mind and feelings to reach a Happier Place xx You are an Amazing person and driver xx God bless you and stay safe and healthy xx
Hi Cassie, Just come across this video and hope you get a lot better soon, Never feel that you are letting other people down, Especially when they are the ones that are letting you down, when they show no concern about your well-being and they are only concerned about the wealth of them selves and their business, Just take it easy and stay focused on your self and what you feel is best for you, your own health and well-being, Don’t take on too much all at once, and end up burning yourself out again, just take it one step at a time, like you mentioned, getting into a part-time job first and then decide where you want to go from there, Once again get well soon, and your UA-cam family will always be here to support you and hope to see more of you doing well in your future videos, ❤️,✌🏼,✊🏼
So good you are back on track 😊 Take it as a lesson of life, and use it to take care of your self. Nothing is more important 😉
❤❤❤❤❤
Oh yes,, been there, done that.
I got knocked down too, with stress and was burned out. Terrible. So I understand exactly what you are going through.
Fortunately I did not get depression. But I did get some damage to my brain, so I can't handle the challenges it is working as an electrical and refrigeration technician.
But I can drive. And I have had the C-E license since I was 19 years old, and I've been lucky to find an easy and simple part time job as a truck driver 🙏😊
Taking walks in the forrest is good, take your time, and train your mind to appreciate and be grateful for anything that you have and can. 🙏 😊 If I can be of any help, feel free to write and ask. All the best.
Please never forget you have thousands of people who care very much about YOU.Stay well and good luck with your new job. Keep your chin up.
XXX
Reminds me of a lot of Transport bosses in the UK
Its good to hear you recognised the problem and sought help, and great to hear your well on the road to what you feel as normality 😁
Work to live and not live to work, all work and no enjoyment of free time soon takes its toll.
Great to see you smiling and admire you for telling your story of your burn out.
Keep doing what you enjoy, all the best 👌🤞
anybody can get burnt out, either from doing to much work, or even the type of work you do, the most important person to look after is YOU!!!
But now I felt like it's the perfect time, because I really wanted to share my story :D
Thank you so much for your comment and well-wishing! Have a lovely week! :)
@@TruckerCassie You did the right thing Cassie.....Never give up.....Go ahead with your dedicated mind.
I understand completely about the panic attaches. Very unnerving. Fearing the loss of control. I admire your honesty.
Ps. Love your dogs and cat! ❤️ Ds.
I am a truck driver and just returned back to work after 7 weeks off with depression, It can be a lonely and stressful job some of the time.
hope you feel better soon.
Same here brother, but it took me 5 months to get back to work. People don't realise how stressful driving can be. Stay safe out there bro.
Thank your for being so honest, you've been through a though time. I wish you well in your new job, stay safe and stay strong!
I loved that last sentence" You and Angelica are amazing" nothing but the truth! You guys are Awesome!👍👍💯💯💯💯

I hope you get better soon Cassie , we all are here to support you. You are strong. Be safe 🤗😊
No, you won't get over it, and you can't check if it's' a symptom for another illness, which is the first thing they will do at the hospital
From someone still walking on this earth after a burnout and severe depression: thank you for doing the video Cassie.

Thank you for sharing your story with this serious subject, wish you all the best with your new job 😊👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for letting us know you!
hoppas allt blir med dig och att de löser sig
اول مرة اراك فالحقيقة اعجبت بك بمهارتك فالسياقة الشاحنة وكذالك باسلوبك الراقي يعني انسانة شجاعة وعندك حس المرح
Lycka till med nya jobbet! Ta det lugnt o lyssna på kroppen. Gillar dina videos! Ha en fin söndag!
Cassie. You are a brave person to open up like that. I admire you for your openness. Good driving on your new job and as always be safe.👍. 🔥🤗🇺🇸
Take care
This is the 3th video I see from you. Like the way you present yourself. Take care off yourself and stay safe. Keep doing what you enjoy doing.
A most amazing story that inspired me. My wife and I had similar experiences in different fields. You healed us both! Keep up the great videos!
Enjoy the new job.
mycket kärlek från Finland till dig. du är en stark kvinna🤙🏻
Trucking is what you are good at, you love it. wish you lots of luck and good health. (from the UK)
Hi Cassie, I am feeling your pain because i did the exact same thing at the exact same time, massive headaches, uncontrollable shakes, no energy always sleepy,
my bosses didn`t care they just wanted the work out, as a heavy diesel mechanic (38 years) fixing what you drive is not good to be in that condition, but you still want to push on because that`s what we do. please take you time fix your self and be happy inside because you are the one that counts, I am still working through it myself.
CASSIE!! Greatest THANKS and BLESSINGS upon YOU for THIS INDEPTH info!!.......Know that ALL of us are More in love with YOU for THIS STORY!!
it was very brave of you to open up about yourself and i,m sure it happens more than you possible realise and you should always take care of yourself first, i think its so important to speak about how over working can effect people it affects us all in different ways it take real courage and show the kind of person you are to speak about it your stronger than you think stay safe and stay positive
Take care of yourself Cassie & stay healthy 😘
what a lovely human being you are that industry dosnt deserve you what a lovely person you are
Hi there Cassie!
I really found your video very relatable in many similar ways.
When you mentioned that you had no energy or desire to do any of the things you previously enjoyed, I thought
"She's dealing with depression".
🤗😘🙏🏻
Bye!
Good to see you back and happy 😃
Welcome back to your life 👍
Thank you for sharing your story. Best of luck for your new job Cassie.
Cassie, as for all of us, your well being is the main thing to focus on; once you feel ok generally, life will sort itself out I’m sure
Good for you Cassie. And thank you for all of your encouragement for the rest of us.
Hi Cassie,
Just come across this video and hope you get a lot better soon,
Never feel that you are letting other people down,
Especially when they are the ones that are letting you down, when they show no concern about your well-being and they are only concerned about the wealth of them selves and their business,
Just take it easy and stay focused on your self and what you feel is best for you, your own health and well-being,
Don’t take on too much all at once, and end up burning yourself out again, just take it one step at a time, like you mentioned, getting into a part-time job first and then decide where you want to go from there,
Once again get well soon, and your UA-cam family will always be here to support you and hope to see more of you doing well in your future videos,
❤️,✌🏼,✊🏼
Glad to hear you're on the mend.🤗
Hope this new nob is what you need. Take care🤗
