Never a word wasted, every talk and interview packed with fresh, fascinating insights and conceptual short cuts for translating complex ideas into simple actions to restore sanity. If there was any justice, Helen would be a go-to big name intellectual on mainstream media like the BBC, and I’m getting ever more hopeful that day will come.

Helen. You have been a beacon to me over the last 2 years. My daughter decided that my very bright but Autistic 4 year old grandson is really a girl. Thank god he has decided he is a boy after all. He is now 6 but his parents say if he changes his mind again, of course they will believe him. I live in Canada. Enough said.

💔 I would be utterly terrified. I'm guessing there is so much you wish you could say to his parents, but if you do, then you're faced with an instance argument with the parents about how wrong you are, attacking your age, upbringing, how you brought them up and how awful it was for them... I'm personalizing and guessing. The greatest concern would be that they punish you by taking your grandson out of your life or only allowing supervised visits like you are some kind of criminal for not buying into this "new age" of parenting or non- parenting, by letting the child tell the parents how to be parents. I was raised with structure, a set of standards in the home and outside the home of which the majority followed, like little girls use the restroom with the woman in a dress 🚺. I'm currently raising a teenage girl, so my struggles are battling outside influences from other kids, the teachers, school counselors, the curriculum, and all the garbage in movies, music, & social media. No matter where you look, it's unavoidable. I do hope your grandson makes it thru all of the noise and grows up to be comfortable with himself and takes a stand. To be quiet and stand on the side lines, biting our lip and being civil and censoring ourselves, can make a sane person want to scream. I've probably said too much or not enough, but I do know you're not alone. It would be nice to have a support group for those of us out here trying to survive all this insanity. 😂

19:39. Quite astounded by the lesson on Toy Choices. I was on a nursery placement in 2003 and a little girl started calling a little boy a girl because he was using pink paint. The staff member said "No, R is using pink paint -that does not make him a girl." Quite concering that any decent scheme of work would promote rigid stereotypes around toy choices.

I don't see any connection with socialism. The USA I've heard Helen Joyce argue is the epicentre of trans/gender ideology and it's about the least socialist country in the world.
It's arguably an extremely individualistic way of viewing the world but I wouldn't blame capitalism for its rise either.
It's absolute insanity is what it is but whilst in the US for example it found more support with Democrats than Republicans it's not what I'd describe as a traditional left/right divide.
I'm pretty sure the drug companies and healthcare professionals with dollar signs in their eyes over the money to be made aren't thinking about socialism as they promote their twisted idea of healthcare.
