Ever seen them perform it live? 🔥 Lights drop, LoG logo projected on the sheet, and the intro kicks in, the hair on the back of your neck stands up. Then you hear the cymbals and "WAAAAAAKEEEEE UUUUUUUUPPPP"

Despite the name, it's actually a support type of song. It's basically about everyone having their own personal "hell." Let's get together and get through our "hells" together.
Originally written by the lead guitarist when he met his now wife. He was quoted as saying that this song took on a whole new meaning to him after he and his now wife's first child was stillborn.
That song has helped me through my own tough times. Even though someone might not literally be standing beside me, it always reminds me that there are people out there that are willing to help you get through whatever "hell" you're experiencing.

Contractor by this band is an underrated-incredible. It kicks in right from the start and never stops.
Wrath as an album is so underrated it's criminal.
@@mitchumman8000 Both Wrath and Resolution are heavily underrated to me. I feel bad for Lamb of God because they had such a high going with Ashes Of The Wake and Sacrament. Then all of a sudden it's like all the music media dropped them. I knew about Wrath but it didn't seem like there was much backing of it. But I didn't know about Resolution until a couple of years after it came out. Granted between 2011-2014, I moved around a bit and joined the military so I wasn't up-to-date as much as I'd been before, but even so. Had I not randomly looked up the band one day I probably wouldn't of found that album until well later on.
@@VileMisanthrope Resolution got more press than Wrath did for sure. Ghost Walking and Desolation from that album got them some good exposure.
@@mitchumman8000 Like I said, I was a bit out of things during that time period so maybe I just missed it myself. But it felt weird being a big Lamb of God fan and not knowing about that album when it was knew. I've been a consistent listener of them since Palaces.

The main breakdown of this video is the dude in the red hoodie is running from his problems and himself trying to escape the misery.
I can relate on so many levels, because I constantly feel like running away but I know it will catch up with me in the end anyways.
You can never truly run away from your problems. You have to face them and search for answers.
Randy Blythe is a masterful vocalist and has deep meaning in the songs he writes.

Sorry to be one of those guys, but having served in Iraq as a young man this song hits particularly strong. I felt like it was directed towards the leaders who brainwashed us and sent us to war based on lies. The album this song is on has kind of a running theme that is very critical of war I would say.I take responsibility for my part don't get me wrong but I heard this right around the time I got out and I absolutely love it. Seen them live twice and they are AMAZING.

LoG is one of the bands that’s really helped me through dark times and helped me accept myself and express to my family that I didn’t want to be apart of the church and . I’ve always sort of related to that opening line and having a weight lifted off my shoulder when I decided I wasn’t fearful to live my life my way. This was 20 years ago and it feels good to not be apart of the cult to this day.
"512" by Lamb of God is probably the hardest song they perform. For many of my Combat Veteran friends, they can empathize with the meaning of that song and how and why it was written.

Momento mori is another banger with deep meaning
Something to note about LOG, Randy Blythe (Prounounced Blye) is Sober, and has been for around 13 or 14 years now. He has many songs that address this. Another bit about him that some dont know. While playing a show in Prague, a Crowd Surfer got on stage with Lamb Of God, Randy as he had done many of shows before, gave this crowd surfer a push back into the crowd, as the surfer went in, he fell, and hit his head on the show floor. This person stayed for the remainder of the show, left, went home, and died in his bed that evening. Lamb Of God had left Prague, when an Arrest warrant was placed in the name of Randal Blythe. The members of the band, and Randy himself had 0 knowledge that any of this had happened. A few years later, Lamb of God Returned to Prague for another show, when their plane landed, the band was not allowed to depart the plane, officers came on board, guns drawn, and arrested Randy on the plane. Randy stood trial and was acquitted of all wrong doing.
I believe Said that he wrote the song 512 while he was awaiting trial.

I see someone else mentioned 512 and out of the entire Lamb of God discography I’m really interested on how you interpret that song. It was written after a hugely dark period in Randy’s life where he was on trial for manslaughter and had to wrestle with the knowledge that a fan died at one of their shows. Lamb of God has a huge number of amazing songs, but given your experience and education 512 is the one song I’m most curious to see you tackle
Mental Health and Metal go hand in hand. Trephination and Sail into the Black by Machine Head (to name a few), While We Serve and Black Mountain by Orbit Culture, The Eagle Flies Alone by Arch Enemy, lots of Killswitch Engage songs, almost everything by Nothing More.... et al. Metal music has been my savior for years.

I hope the low view count doesn't discourage you from checking out more LoG on the channel. They're a great band, and are far more popular than the views on this video suggest. For some reason the algorithm didn't like you on this one. I'm subbed and all of your videos normally pop up in my recommended, but this one never did. Only found it because I randomly happened to search for LoG reactions today.
such a good band from philly strong one too they have been making music since the ninety nine when they were known as burn the priest but they were much more raw and unpolished i have some of that early work especially with songs like bloodletting, you definitely can't go wrong with this band the progression they have made top tier no mistaking how famous they would get that raw power and aggression they could harness and with such strong elements that said your not alone in this ladies & gentlemen and did i mention randy blythe as a vocalist holy smoke such truth
