    I'm glad I watched this, I thought I was losing my mind with my fueling on HTS. Updated it on my new laptop, & havent been able to get a stable tune out of it. Didn't help I tried cheaping out on junkyard injectors either. Just ordered a set of 1000s from u & I'm excited to get this thing on the road again!

    I educated myself for two plus years. I took classes online for tuning. My first attempt was on this same setup. I thought I was a complete moron. Then, this year, I tuned on haltech on the same injectors for a friend and have a fast ass better than factory running turbo b16 civic.

    Hey man, just wanted to thank you for making this video and really clearing everything up on this issue. I bought these injectors and had a remote tuner tune the car and for days we couldn’t get the car to idle right or even run on HTS the tuner started getting frustrated with me but we finally found that setting the injectors as 750cc injectors atleast made the car run and drive. Nonetheless I ended up with an extremely inconsistent tune with super rich spots and super lean spots seemed like everyday the car ran different. I’m very glad that you put this video out though as I’m about to get my car retuned I’ll try to make a basemap on crome myself and see if it turns out better. Thanks man.

    You should try looking at iat corections, they are pretty big if you look into the table, 5% iat corrections on 1000cc injectors is savage

  • @louisw903
    @louisw903 Місяць тому +3

    I only use 2.15 HTS
    What you Never should do ist ( fuel % gear adj) that does Not work!!
    On Hondata it Works, but Hondata s300 has other bugs
    Crome runs very well!
    Obd0 BRE runs best i think …
    If you go and use HTS with other injectors often deadtimes Not that Great or fuel Table.
    Seem that HTS multiply The table with a fix number.
    I had issues Like that also

      You Need to change start fuel and so on. You can push that Button to yes.

    • @jackiethao317
      @jackiethao317 10 днів тому

      Agreed. Instead of changing and highlighting entire fuel table, just add/minus overall fuel to start off with. Always double or add a lot to the fuel values in first column to help reduce afr sweeping when using larger injectors.

    They seem like nice enough people at hts and snake, but hts seems to be nothing more than a new crome free. Works decent enough for people who don't want to spend money, but too many problems with it and snake so just bought hondata instead

  • @Kikata.

    Do you have any idea whats the problem with hts when enabling closed loop it doesnt wanna work, maybe works for a sec then goes back to open loop

    • @chayneyshuck5503
      @chayneyshuck5503 Місяць тому

      Closed loop doesn't work on hts. According to some people if you connect your narrowband oem honda o2 sensor to d14 and use another connection for wideband then your closed loop will work. You really gotta have your tune spot on before you enable closed loop and at that point don't really need it haha

    What about Neptune ???

  • @hydrocarbon8272
    @hydrocarbon8272 Місяць тому +1

    I've been having the same issues with a turbo D16 with 1000cc injectors. It was tuned on Crome years ago without issue, then ectune, now HTS (I've been tuning a while, mostly GM now). Always rich after startup, huge lean spike at low throttle/rpm shifts, AFR spikes if I try to lean out idle a little.
    I thought I messed something up but this looks like a coding problem. Next step I'm going to try some old HTS versions and the ectune baserom. Can't try smaller injectors since I'm near maxed out with E85. Crome might be the answer, and I only went to HTS for flex fuel - which also seems to be part of this bug.

      Let me know how that goes. I bought a hondavert last year to try and stay away from hondata long as I can haha.

      @@chayneyshuck5503 I have a good update: I talked with one of the main devs and looks like it might be applying the "injector final multiplier" to the voltage offset number. In other words with bigger injectors it runs a much smaller latency number. It makes low-duty map cells need much more padding & small corrections act like huge changes. He said he'll look at the code soon, but we need ANYONE that has a good idea WHEN this problem started to pipe up to be easier to track down.
      I created a map that used 380cc and 700cc numbers and bumped the fuel map accordingly and all the AFR's were different. However the datalog's reported inj duty in milliseconds was being reported the same (1.8ms). The 380cc map drove the most like a Crome map. My next test is to set inj size to 925cc (Bosch 1k) and increase the latency values ~4x to compensate (0.259 multi).
      I might have to fire up my ancient XP pc that should have Crome Pro on it to compare.

    • @hydrocarbon8272
      @hydrocarbon8272 Місяць тому

      Update #2: I copied the basemap fuel numbers to my map and increased the battery offsets by the amount the final value was slashing them. It now has a very stable idle and has no big AFR swings. I think the tip-in is being slashed too, so I have that higher than HTS calculates for you.

    I had these exact same problems with hts and hunter tuned injectors. It's been said hts does this with all injectors over 1000cc.
    You can get it smoother by re-adjusting the dead times and matching the afr on all the dead times. The multipliers in hts are very incorrect for larger injectors.
    Max vacuum also has to be set extremely low. Lower than the rest of the fuel table. hts does not have minimum injector cutoff multipliers so you makeup for it by adjusting the table.
    Either way it takes hours to do this and still doesn't run as good as other softwares. Devin already said he don't care about OBD1 and only works on supporting OBD2 unless someone pays him to work on it. I would gladly pay a monthly fee to get some updates to fuel injectors as well as closed loop support. The layout on hts is amazing. The software is shit with shit developers.

    Sooo I’m buying the snake emu tommorow but after seeing this video I am skeptical. Basically snake only runs HTS and HTS is dog shit right ?

    • @chayneyshuck5503
      @chayneyshuck5503 Місяць тому

      It works on crome as well. I watched Hunter Tuned videos is one of the reasons I bought it. But yeah try and find a demon 2 and use neptune or go hondata is your best bet. I am trying hondavert who is a copycat and hacked version of hondata. Who Hondata is a hack of Hondas bin files so it all fits together haha

  • @chayneyshuck5503
    @chayneyshuck5503 Місяць тому

    They found the bug in hts probably because of this video.
    When you put in the new injector size there will be a greyed out window with your final multiplier. Take your dead times and divide by that final multiplier number and that will give you the injector dead times that hts needs to run those injectors properly. For exam0le if that final multiplier said .5 then you could just double the injector dead times for each volt and that will fix the injector problem in hts. Supposedly it will fix the closed loop option too.

    • @chayneyshuck5503
      @chayneyshuck5503 Місяць тому

      On this car in the video it showed 0.240 so you need to divide the dead times on this car by 0.240 before you enter them into HTS. That should fix your problem. Now you can tune on HTS again yay!

    • @chayneyshuck5503
      @chayneyshuck5503 Місяць тому

      Because of the bug this is what the dead times should be for those injectors in HTS.
      1.7, 2.63, 3.12, 3.8, 4.7, 7.1, 10.6

    Did the HTS designers quit improving the program? Seems like they did IMO. I like HTS and the way it's laid out, but how smooth Crome is right out of the gate speaks volumes. Crome has been at this since the beginning so, can't argue with results. HTS has been buggy from day one. I get it, probably very hard to design this stuff but in the end, we all just want a smooth tune. Its all these reasons I will only run Haltech in any ride. They invented stand alone tuning in the 80s.
