    My hair is also wavy and the individual strands are very thick and coarse, which all put together makes my hair look so frizzy even when hydrated. These heatless curls never work for me but I’m going to try your method! I think getting your hair sleek with the hair dryer is the key

      I'm the same. my hair is so frizzy and dry even with product and after heat a lot of the times.

    I do this but I always use a lot of heat protectant spray because I don't want to fry my curls I like to still have my natural curls 🙂
    Another tip is I do the method where I take hair from the back and front when I wrap it on the string it well make all my hair curled and looks better!

    It looks so good!!! I tried this a bunch of times and for some reason the back of my hair is flat and only the front is curly. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

      Also make sure you are grabbing the hair you are adding in a diagonal pattern. I have seen that it help curl the back more and give it more volume

    wait ariba so you're a hairdresser right? Do you genuinely recommend drugstore shampoos? im kinda confused bc hairstylists say to avoid shampoos like herbal essences like the plague.

    • @Ariba_Pervaiz
      @Ariba_Pervaiz  4 роки тому +4

      Yes I’m a hairdresser. As a blogger I like to recommend products in a variety of price ranges for you guys. Not everyone can afford the salon stuff! The drug store brands I stick to are paraben and cruelty free like this one... as are most salon brands! Hope that helps.

  • @alainabilow

    FYI❤️🐰✌️
    Herbal Essences is owned by Procter & Gamble, a company that tests on animals. Not only is Herbal Essences not cruelty-free but neither is their parent company.
    Herbal Essences is available for sale in countries with mandatory animal testing. This means that their products were likely tested on animals.
    Being truly cruelty-free involves not testing on animals at any point during production, either by the brand, its suppliers, or any third parties. It also involves not selling products where animal testing is required by law.
    Thank you cruelty free kitty! You are the best cruelty free resource center.

    Is this only for very long hair like yours or do you think it can work for hair just below the shoulders?

    • @Ariba_Pervaiz
      @Ariba_Pervaiz  4 роки тому +2

      Ya totally. It makes your hair shrink a lot once it's curled but it's vibe on shorter hair. Definately worth a try.

    When I try this only the tops and bottoms of my hair gets curled :( the whole middle parts of my hair stay straight. (my hair is verrry long though)

  • @theresab3775
    @theresab3775 3 роки тому +5

    My hair is similar to yours but I usually make sure my hair is 50% damp when I do these heatless styles because I've always assumed it won't curl as well for my thick dry wavy hair if my hair is as dry as yours is in the video, and I fear it will become more of a frizzy curl if I do this with dryish hair. In your opinion, do you find our type of hair curls better with less frizz when the hair is mostly dry, opposed to more on the damp side (and I don't mean soaking wet) when doing these no-heat hair syles? I thought damper hair would form and hold curls better for people with thick/dry/frizzy hair, but maybe not? My hair definitely curls doing this method with damper hair and sleeping on it over night, but I find there's not enough volume on top where I need it, it just lays flat.... any suggestions?

    • @lauramckellar
      @lauramckellar 2 роки тому +1

      Try parting your hair different when you're wrapping it than to how you're actually going to wear it. You see in the video how she starts with her hair in a centre parting but when it's dry and after she takes out the robe tie, she parts it on the side and it gives her loads of volume at the root. So if you usually wear your hair parted at the centre, part it at the side when it's damp and your wrapping it up and vice versa. Hope that makes sense and good luck! xx

      She left her hair damp so it’s really not that damaging. Not to mention there’s a button on hair dryers that makes the air cold. You don’t have to blow dry she said that. Hater.

    • @Angiebobangie16
      @Angiebobangie16 2 роки тому +11

      You dont have to blow dry it, but it would take like 5 days for wet hair that thick to dry in a tight wrap like that.

    • @alexandratewell5337
      @alexandratewell5337 Рік тому +13

      For those of us who have curly/frizzy and dry hair, in order to get smooth curls like this, we have to blow dry, straighten, then curl. So this process eliminates it down to just blow dry, and removes the last 2 heat steps

    Your wet hair did not show any curl pattern. I’m surprised you said you had natural curly hair. Your hair is almost bone straight. Your waves aren’t even as defined. It’s a beautiful head of thick hair, but I’m confused why you identify your hair pattern as curly.

    • @2ndwednesday
      @2ndwednesday 2 роки тому

      I think she identifies it as curly because it is. If you watch other videos where she hasn't straightened her hair it is very curly
