One of the few times where the live performance is better than the studio track and original video. Edge/Adam/Larry are almost always engaged into the song, Bono not as much (he tends to look bored at times, especially since this tour), but he definitely was in this performance. I'm kicking myself til this day that I didn't goto Arizona (my friends did though) to see this concert.
The ability of Bono to shift registers so silky-smooth and yet raw and plaintively is astounding. So much power. It is grievous that he sold his soul. 😔😢
This song, I’d go over my grandmothers as child and mothers brothers lived at home and used to blast this from their bedroom on repeat and tell me that it was greatest band in the world. My mother’s side of the family are Irish and my dad’s Jamaican, it was such a diverse upbringing, music everywhere, but this song hits different and one day, when I’m laid rest, I want this blaring. Masterpiece
