I don't normally comment on make up tutorial videos but I've got to say this is one of the best ones I've seen! Not a bunch of talking at the beginning, simple, straightforward and using affordable eyeshadows and brushes. Great job!

this is how i do my makeup and its quick and effortless, I'm surprised this video hasn't hit a million views yet! its very informative, she draws imaginary lines so beginners actually know where she's pointing at, pauses it for a fair duration of time for viewers to take a second and analyze. GREAT JOB! you gained a subscriber

Thank you for posting this! The editing is great. As someone who wants to know how to apply makeup for hooded eyes but isn't buying new makeup every week and using 100 diff products like a lot of gurus do, this is exactly what I needed. ~3 brushes, 3 colors, great editing, straightforward, and a great look. Keep doing what you're doing!

Theeeeee BEST and straight-to-the-point tutorial for hooded eyelids on YT! I've watched a lot of them over the years and NONE of them has ever made sense to me and discouraged me to wear any eyeshadow. After watching this, I'm thinking of going shopping for an eyeshadow palette, which I have not done in YEARS! Thank you! 😊

So I had an event to go to today and had been searching for simple, quick eye shadow tutorials to try out. I came across your video and boy do I have to say yours is the one that helped me the most. You truly made it so any beginner could easily follow and not feel overwhelmed. I got so many compliments for my eye makeup and I have you to thank for that. So thank you so much for making a tutorial that even an old newbie like myself could learn from 😊

Lisa things I liked about this video : great editing, short and sweet! - your use of inexpensive products and brushes - your soothing voice - use of soft neutral colours and lastly the importance of using a lid primer! The only feedback is since you keep things simple and inexpensive, you could have used a drugstore primer. A great choice is the one from Mabaline. Awesome gurl!!

Finally, someone actually explains what the steps actually do! I also really appreciate you pointing out how it’s ‘typically’ done and what we need to do differently (and why), as well as the inexpensive brushes! Short, sweet, and to the point while being extremely informative-love it! I’m half Korean and I have one hooded eye and one that’s almost mono, I never really understood the difference-especially when it comes to makeup. I just watched these videos with women putting on tons of product, it’s very overwhelming. Great breakdown thanks so much! Subscribing right now and you’re very lovely 😊

GREAT video!! I really like the way you show and explain each of the colors and products and I REALLY like that you use AFFORDABLE shadows and brushes!! SO many videos use pricey products that most of us can't afford to spend that much money on. It is so nice to have someone who is in touch with so many of us who don't have expensive products given to us or who just have other things we need to spend our hard earned money on. Thank you so much for showing us that we can get such beautiful looks that make us look so pretty and not have to spend so much to do it! It just looks SO pretty!! Thank you!

I like that you put the guidelines on where to put the shadow. That’s very helpful. I wish you would have opened your eyes more. Looked great on your lids but really wanted to see the effect when you keep your eyes open. Also can you show placement of the shadow when your eyes are hooded and drooping down? I’m still vague on how you drag the shades and liner out without accentuating the droop.

You present everything so well. The extra text of what's being used, explaining why... All great extra touches.
I have slightly hooded eyes, plus they are small. I notice a darker color a bit around the outer crease and almost all the way around my eye socket above the crease makes my eyes look bigger. If I only do that at the outer crease, my eyes still look small, but also even more slitted.
But my natural crease gives such a dark natural shadow, that it's always visible. Any way to combat this? I have so little room to work with that trying to create a higher crease is very hard and it always slides down to the natural one.

Thanks so much for this video! I'm a newbie to makeup. And this video was so helpful. Please more beginners makeup video like how do I determine what foundation color to use? Bb creams? Cheap bronzer? Cheap blush? What kind of makeup should I start off as a beginner?
