Most makeup channels say the exact same thing "You do this, like this, next step". I'm not necessarily new to makeup, I've been doing it for two years or so, but having an in depth tutorial like this helps me see what I've done wrong for all this time, and how I need to improve. This tutorial is hands down incredible. I am someone who knew absolutely nothing about the methods on eyeshadow and would just take one random color or two, apply it bluntly real fast, cover it up with liquid eyeliner wings and just call it a day. After seeing this video i feel as if i don't just know everything there is to know about it, but i feel that i actually know more about the science behind it as well. I appreciate so much that this shows exactly what to do and the explanations and everything else too and that answers to questions have even been anticipated as well. The way you speak to the viewers in the video relate to us very respectfully in a personable way and everything mentioned literally actually sticks with me as well and doesn't go above my head at all. And at times you're also not afraid to crack a little laugh which makes you so relatable as a person which is absolutely amazing. I loved every single thing about this. I'm so lucky i found this today. 💕
I am a MUA and this video was fantastic. I literally do this for a living, but am always looking to perfect my technique. This tutorial was detailed, clear, concise, easy to follow and showed how a basic eyeshadow look in neutral colors can look amazing with proper technique. 👍🏾

Normally I would get so bored and just not care but you really have that bright and energetic personality your not boring and your not "peepy". You explain things so well and you have a answer to every situation that may happen when attempting to do eyeshadow. I've unsubscribed most beauty channels. They say beginner but they aren't. Its usually a look how expensive my make up is...see I make it look easy kind of set up but this actually showed how without focus on brand of each brush but Instead the shape of each brush. 👏👏👏👏 loved this
BEST eyeshadow tutorial I have ever seen. Answers all those little tiny questions. So thankful for her walking through it so slowly, even showing what angle to hold the mirror and what direction to apply the color, in each stage of the shadow application, and how many different brushes are used to get a look like this. This takes so much more work than I thought, but no wonder I wasn't getting it right trying to do this all in 5 min! Thank you!

Omg...I mimicked you from start to finish with the brushes and powders that I have on hand. This is the best eye blending that I have ever, ever, ever done. It came it gorgeous and flawless. You were so detail oriented and I never knew that holding your brush in the angle you showed would make such a difference. I still need to perfect my under-eye shadow technique but I'm determined. I am not new to makeup at all, but I have been struggling with blending eyeshadow on my fairly deep set hooded eyes & preventing shadows from looking harsh. I’ve watched a ton of UA-cam makeup videos but this is by far the most beneficial one. You truly explain everything in detail and most of all explain why you do something. So many times I have watched a UA-cam video and repeated what the person has done but it never comes out truly as clean and precise and now I know why! Awesome video!

Thank you for this video! I was a teenager in the early 2000s and we did not have primers and we didn’t have access to tips and hacks. Hell we didn’t have much eyebrow either haha! What I am saying is that I see tons of tutorials that aren’t beginner friendly! Ty again!

I'm not the most arty person - I wish I was, and that it came natural to me (Oh hell I do) but it doesn't. However, I've recently been experimenting with colours that are kinda out of my comfort zone, and it's been fun. And that's what makeup is for, a bit of fun and creating individuality. I get so inspired by Brianna's tutorials as it motivates me to say "I can do it, I will do it." 😊 Also she's a gorgeous lady.

Do you have any advice on hooded eyes with eyeshadow and winged eyeliner? One eye is very hooded and the other is slightly hooded, also, their kind of uneven a little. I have a very difficult time on trying to get them even. I've, also, tried everything to open them up, but the one that's extremely hooded still always looks closed. And, any time I do winged liner it looks terrible and doesn't work out; and cut creases are really difficult too. So, I was curious if maybe you had any tips or maybe could do a tutorial about extremely uneven hooded eyes and how to do winged eyeliner? Not saying you have hooded eyes or anything, but I figured maybe you might have some advice or could do a tutorial for it one day.
Kristan Nicole , I have seen a few tutorials of hers on hooded eyes and cut creases for hooded eyes. She usually links everything. They are there though but you might have to go a few months back (at least). I have the same exact issue you do (and I am much older) so, I am still learning but I do go back to her videos every once in a while to watch again:) Hope this helps!!
I have very hooded eyes. You should not look down when you are applying your transition shade. Look straight at the mirror and apply the transition shade right above the crease. If you look down, as soon as you open your eyes, the color is completely lost in the crease. She has great tips, but everyone's eyes are shaped differently, so what works for her does not always work for someone else.

I just have such a hard time with eyeshadow and trying to open my eyes more; and with eyeliner because of my extremely, uneven, small eyelids. Julie M I look down all the time when doing my eyeshadow and you can never see it. But, today I seen your comment before I got ready and I tried this tip and it was extremely helpful. It made a world of difference. I'm still having a little bit of a hard time trying to open them, but doing that tip made them alot more awake then what I was doing. I don't know if it's because my eyes are small, uneven, and extremely hooded while they still look a little more closed off and the winged liner still looks bad or if it's because I still don't know alot about dealing with them yet. Thank you so much, I truly appreciate the help.
OMG, I finally found this video. I followed all your steps to get my eyeshadow done shortly after this video was published. Then I never couldn't find this video again. This is the best video I've found for somebody like me who doesn't do this very often and every time I do my makeup, specifically like my eyeshadow, it's like the first time I'm doing it.

I am a longtime makeup aficionado, and I believe your hack about "coming from the north" (plus also crossing your dominant arm across your body) resolves the issue I've consistently had with the harsh/odd shape I get on one eye only. Lizzy Lilac Elf, NYX or MAC is really good to start with and that you can make your way up to high end makeup. Start with primer, concealer, foundation and mascara :)

Ive never exactly tried eyeshadow before and thats what i got for xmas this year. The video was great but kinda complicated. Ive definitely subscribed tho. It would be cool to do a video on what colors matches what skin tones including exotic colors etc.

I'm deleting all tutorials, that has to do with make-up caz all you need is one, and this one's perfect! So thankful for her walking through it so slowly, even showing what angle to hold the mirror and what direction to apply the color, in each stage of the shadow application, and how many different brushes are used to get a look like this. Omg...I mimicked you from start to finish with the brushes and powders that I have on hand. This is the best eye blending that I have ever, ever, ever done. It came it gorgeous and flawless. You were so detail oriented and I never knew that holding your brush in the angle you showed would make such a difference. I still need to perfect my under-eye shadow technique but I'm determined. I’ve watched a ton of UA-cam makeup videos but this is by far the most beneficial one. You truly explain everything in detail and most of all explain why you do something. So many times I have watched a UA-cam video and repeated what the person has done but it never comes out truly as clean and precise and now I know why! Awesome video!

Thank you for this video! I was a teenager in the early 2000s and we did not have primers and we didn’t have access to tips and hacks. Hell we didn’t have much eyebrow either haha! What I am saying is that I see tons of tutorials that aren’t beginner friendly! Ty again!

Do you have any advice on hooded eyes with eyeshadow and winged eyeliner? One eye is very hooded and the other is slightly hooded, also, their kind of uneven a little. I have a very difficult time on trying to get them even. I've, also, tried everything to open them up, but the one that's extremely hooded still always looks closed. And, any time I do winged liner it looks terrible and doesn't work out; and cut creases are really difficult too. So, I was curious if maybe you had any tips or maybe could do a tutorial about extremely uneven hooded eyes and how to do winged eyeliner? Not saying you have hooded eyes or anything, but I figured maybe you might have some advice or could do a tutorial for it one day.
Kristan Nicole , I have seen a few tutorials of hers on hooded eyes and cut creases for hooded eyes. She usually links everything. They are there though but you might have to go a few months back (at least). I have the same exact issue you do (and I am much older) so, I am still learning but I do go back to her videos every once in a while to watch again:) Hope this helps!!
I have very hooded eyes. You should not look down when you are applying your transition shade. Look straight at the mirror and apply the transition shade right above the crease. If you look down, as soon as you open your eyes, the color is completely lost in the crease. She has great tips, but everyone's eyes are shaped differently, so what works for her does not always work for someone else.

I just have such a hard time with eyeshadow and trying to open my eyes more; and with eyeliner because of my extremely, uneven, small eyelids. Julie M I look down all the time when doing my eyeshadow and you can never see it. But, today I seen your comment before I got ready and I tried this tip and it was extremely helpful. It made a world of difference. I'm still having a little bit of a hard time trying to open them, but doing that tip made them alot more awake then what I was doing. I don't know if it's because my eyes are small, uneven, and extremely hooded while they still look a little more closed off and the winged liner still looks bad or if it's because I still don't know alot about dealing with them yet. Thank you so much, I truly appreciate the help.
And, do either of you create your own crease or put the shadow directly into the crease, and the same with the outer 'V' and lid?
OMG, I finally found this video. I followed all your steps to get my eyeshadow done shortly after this video was published. Then I never couldn't find this video again. This is the best video I've found for somebody like me who doesn't do this very often and every time I do my makeup, specifically like my eyeshadow, it's like the first time I'm doing it.

I am a longtime makeup aficionado, and I believe your hack about "coming from the north" (plus also crossing your dominant arm across your body) resolves the issue I've consistently had with the harsh/odd shape I get on one eye only. Lizzy Lilac Elf, NYX or MAC is really good to start with and that you can make your way up to high end makeup. Start with primer, concealer, foundation and mascara :)
