Love that you are showing we deserve lux too! For many years plus sized women felt like they shouldn’t invest in quality pieces because we should always be trying to shrink ourselves. We are finally beginning to overcome that thought and we want to see and wear quality lasting clothes made out of luxury fabrics that breathe like silk and linen.

Natalie this is such a needed video. Straight Size influencers and content creators post about luxury all the time. I think it’s wonderful to see a plus size woman doing the same thing. It’s so meaningful for us to see ourselves in places we don’t normally see. This is SO POWERFUL. Thank you.

Beautiful garments. I'm 61 years old, and it almost brought a tear to my eye, to realise that, for the first time in my life, I could actually fit in such clothing. It's worth saving for as long as it takes to buy quality. We deserve the chance to do that - thank you so much. Excellent video.

Thank you! I feel that plus size women are totally written off by luxury brands. Not sure if it's bc they don't want us in their stores/wearing their pieces, if they assume we don't want quality fashion or if they simply think anyone over a size 10 can't afford luxury. But we can, we have lives where beautiful, luxe clothing is necessary. My most beautifully fitting top is Marina Rinaldi. I paid 320 dollars for it 10 yrs ago. It still looks as good as it did then. I'd love to see you do more luxury/higher end try ons.
Stunning! Back in the olden days, 30 years ago, there was a Canadian company called Antels, plus size, that carried high quality pieces. 30 years ago, a pair of slacks were over $100. A silk blouse over $200. A merino sweater maybe $150ish. I bought a maxi cotton trench I paid over $300 for and wore it 10 years before I lost it. Silk chiffon runs about $30 a yard +. So that first dress to make would be $210 dollars. It takes a high skill level to sew (I wouldn’t and I’ve designed and made my own clothes since I was 16). These prices are more than reasonable for the quality. That last knit lace dress was my favourite. An FYI? It’s impossible to machine crochet. Any garment you see is 99% knit if it’s for commercial sale, under $1500. It would take at least a month to crochet that dress. Plus as a knitter, (and crocheter) I recognize the lace pattern, hahaha. This brand has been on my radar for a while now and I would really like a silk blouse. 🌸💕🌸

I also couldn’t agree with you more that investing in a beautiful price that you’ll have for many years isn’t a bad idea. I hope one day I can afford a couple of my own to add to my collection. I am from Scotland and have being watching a lot of plus size hauls and hated it but understand why you do it. However, I was brought up in poverty but worked hard to be able to buy nice things and will never apologise or feel embarrassed, as I have earned the right to chose quality whenever I can. I loved the Baacal video and the clothes were beautiful. There are 100's of videos showcasing budgets clothes and not enough looking at the luxury end. You should do more of these and not have to apologise that you do!!

I love that luxury is now available for us plus size girls! Looking at some of the try on got me wondering if you could possibly do a series of workwear options from Lane Bryant, and a few others who may have lower priced work wear options for that professional woman

Oh my gosh, I love EVERYTHING! I am so happy to find more luxury plus size brands out there who are interested in sustainability, that is super cool. I have a few pieces from the luxe end of the scale and while they took a while for me to save up for they are so so worth it, because I’ve gotten (and will continue to get) such good wear out of them

So many great items! That crochet dress is swoon-worthy! 😍 I totally agree that you gotta invest. While the math of $500 at once or 4 - $25 coats each year for 5 years is equal...coming up with $500 at once is alot harder for the average person. That said, I'm soooo glad you showcase ALL the great options at all pricepoints. You're providing info, showing it's possible to feel great and look great on any budget and for me personally - I now have a brand I may want to splurge on if the extra $$ presents itself one day.

One day I'll be able to shop sustainably! Until then I'll keep rocking my 10 year old, full length polywool coat from Old Navy. I treat my fast fashion pieces like curated ones so I can just imagine how well I would take care of an $800 coat.

I loved the shirt dress! I dream about wearing a shirt dress, it is one of those items that I am terrified to wear (in my mind it is something for thin girls!), but you look so good on you! I think that the secret is that it is so well cut. The army green shirt is to die for! In Argentina we cannot find belts, let alone statement belts, for big girls. I wish I could buy some of these items, but I really cannot do it now. Maybe in the future! I really liked seeing all this.

If you go to nicer consignment shops, look for the brand Marina Rinaldi. It's a high end luxe brand w beautifully made pieces.
Elena Miró is also a beautiful lux plus size italian brand. Look for that too.

I’m going to save up to get that coat, investing is so smart because a lot of her pieces are timeless, you can by all the basics to wear with them but you cannot put a price on something that fits so wonderful, ethically made, and women owned.

Hey Natalie. I'm considering the double breasted coat, but live in Canada so might be pricey-er to deliver here. I wear a 22-24 and carry my weight in the belly area. Would you recommend a size 3 or 4?
Hi. I'm not Natalie but I feel with coats it's always better to go up a size especially if you wear sweaters or thick tops underneath. Hope this helps
