How important is it to run Led lights with a relay or can they be run like the old 12 volt lights with a switch and a fuse and also how do we determine what size fuse to run with them when the Led lights that don't come with instructions thanks for the help great video keep them coming

Vance Ford, the calculation for finding amperage is W/V=A, or wattage divided by voltage equals amprage. So the lights on the video are 70W, the power source of most standard vehicles is 12 volts, and this equals 5.8 amps per light. And as far as the switch is concerned, they aren't general designed to handle a lot of current (amps). But most switches (quality) should have a current rating, and as long as you're current rating for the switch is above what your demand is it should be fine to only run a switch with a fuse.

Vance Ford, the relay is designed to handle the higher current that a switch can not.
