Thanks for showing the harness kit install. I put a DIY light harness with relays on my baja. The kit looked so much easier! - I really liked the lights too. My baja has a similar setup with DRI's/turns, but your lights look 10 times better. Thanks for the links!
Thanks for checking out my video! The harness sure made it easier! These lights seem like great quality. Link in the description of you wanna get a good deal. The halo version are like $60 with the discount! 🤙🏻
I'll check those out, thanks! Propane is safer off-road, no tuning for elevations, runs at any angle, better fuel economy crawling, cleaner burn. Lots of pros, but there are definitely some cons too.
Bought the harness from Amazon you listed but there are NO additional red and yellow wires at the orange plugs like you show in the video???? How do I wire up the DRL and amber turn lights? Do they make that exact harness you show in the video?
SORRY........What an idiot I am!!! Watched the video again and saw that the red and yellow are on the LIGHTS and not the harness. Thank God for your video so nuts like me can get it done!
A useful video only spoiled by one thing! Mate, you need to learn to solder!! Twisting wires together and then hoping they stay together using shrink wrap tubing is not a permanent solution! Given that our trucks are now 30-40 years old the wiring loom isn't in the greatest of shape anyway! Bare the wire, then clean the end with a scotchbrite or wire wool, then wipe with 'Panel Wipe' or a similar high flash solvent to remove any finger grease etc. Using a small soldering iron 'tin' each bared end and then solder together - then slide the shrink wrap up the wire (you did remember to put some on didn't you??) and heat using the gun - Job done and a good, solid and more importantly conductive wiring joint! BTW the reason you should use an aftermarket wiring look for running LED lights etc is simply because the switching on SJ's etc is done on the negative side of the light unit, i.e the light always has power to it, and it comes on when the earth connection is made. The loom should be specified: for vehicles with negative switching.
Nice job bro..much appreciated! I'm about to undertake the LED swap on my '94 EFI Sammy. In your link to the new harness on Amazon...their harness doesn't seem to have the 2 xtra wires for the DRL etc. Looked every where...any suggestions? THANKS mate!
Good work on your Sammi... looking under your hood here it looks like you're missing a lot if your emissions equipment? How is that working out for registration? I'm not too far from you in CA and I can't get mine to pass smog and I DON'T want to go green sticker...
Hooked some stuff up for smog and have been working on it since. It won't pass again, too much work and money to fix it now. Going to green sticker it before the next one.
Right, definitely not ideal. I'll be towing to the trail and wheeling hard. I'll take my tow rig if need be. This is one of many things that is hard about living in California!
@@FortuneOffRoad I guess that's gonna have to be my plan as well. I live in a very rural area so I've been cruising over to the beer gettin' place with 25 year old sticker anyway haha... whats the big deal with a green sticker then lol Gonna try getting mine dialed for the Father's day Rubicon run!
I didn't run into a problem with it until I built my rear bumper. Then got a flasher relay from Amazon and that fixed it. Check out the description in that video for the link 🤙🏻 ua-cam.com/video/GlFlE97Xtpw/v-deo.html
Lol 15 minute detailed install video with a recap at the end wasn't enough? If you ask me a specific question and provide a time stamp I can help you out.
Changes the whole look of the Samurai, pretty cool!
I just bought an 88 Samurai. I really appreciate your content. You’re awesome! Thank you.
Excellent! Thank you and welcome to the family. 🤘🏻

Great video! Wired my LEDs on my ‘86 Samurai in no time! Thanks.
Excellent, thanks for watching
Thanks so much, just got given a set of led lights and this makes it so much easier. Legend 👌
Right on! Mine have been working great; look good too! 👍🏻
👏 good job! Most definitely will need too refer to video agin when my lights arrive, thanks!
Lights look really good. Great video but no solder on the wires? Heat shrink isn't going to hold the connections together long term
Yeah, that's probably the best way to do it, but this heat shrink has worked great for me so far! 🤙🏻
I see this from Chile, the modifications you make to the Suzuki samurai are incredible!!!
Thanks dude! Glad to like it. More to come! 🤙🏻
Awesome step by step conversion video.
Thanks dude
The led lights are positively switch hed lights and the original head lights are negatively switched. That's the need for the new wiring diagram
Ive got a 1996 Suzuki Sierra would that I need a new harness?
Give these a go for your connections ( no affiliation) "Heat Shrink Solder Sleeve Crimpless Butt Connector". Why are you converting to propane?
I'll check those out, thanks! Propane is safer off-road, no tuning for elevations, runs at any angle, better fuel economy crawling, cleaner burn. Lots of pros, but there are definitely some cons too.
Great video, I had no idea that the scissor jack is under the hood.
Then you’ve never owned a samurai because that’s where they all are.
I almost took mine out, but I have nothing there anyways so I decided to keep it.
That looks AWESOME!
Thanks dude! 🤙🏻

You are really creative .. I wish you good luck
Thank you 🙏🏻
Welcome worth a million stars

Glad this video helped!
Wanting to know the process on wiring up the amber light with the turn signal wire
I just split the wire from the turn signal and connected it to the yellow wire on the headlight. 🤙🏻

Good info! Thanks for the feedback
Looks great, bro! Keep up the good work. Any update on what your gonna do with the burb?
The burb has been sold. The guy that bought it doesn't live too far away and we are planning on meeting up soon at Hollister hills!
Very nice set up
Thanks dude
How much were the lights not find the link

Thanks dude! The DRL wires come out of the headlight so the harness just goes from the Samurai wiring to the headlight itself.
@@FortuneOffRoad Thanks for your quick reply
OK so they come out of the new LED headlight itself?
@@mickkollins yeah mine did
@@FortuneOffRoad :)
Thanks so much!

@@FortuneOffRoad so you're going to go ahead and go green sticker... only thing that sucks about that is hitting the stores etc when camping.

Which wire (color) do I tap into for the parking lights on the aftermarket head lights?
7:55 there are red and black wires going to the running lights. I used that doe the DRLs. 🤙🏻
Is there an easy way to align them? My samu is super tall because of the tires and every time I turn the light on I get everyone blind
Yes! It's not on the headlight but on the retaining piece of metal. That's how I did it at least. 🤙🏻
Can someone put up the link so i can make the purchase from amazon also the harness thanks
It looks like the links in the description still work. 👍🏻
What did you do about the hyper flash with the turn signal?
I didn't run into a problem with it until I built my rear bumper. Then got a flasher relay from Amazon and that fixed it. Check out the description in that video for the link 🤙🏻 ua-cam.com/video/GlFlE97Xtpw/v-deo.html
@@FortuneOffRoad Thank you sir, I havent gotten to the back bumper yet but already have quick flash. :)
Is there a guarantee on Uni-Shine products?
Not that I know of.
Would love to see how they perform on the road looking to get a pair for my rig
Yeah, still working on the trans so can't drive it just yet, but I will eventually get some footage for you!
There really I have one on mine
Always solder the splice.
What wire harness is that it will not pull up anymore.
Yeah it looks like there aren't any available on Amazon except for the kits that come with the lights.
@@FortuneOffRoad did your blinkers blink really quick?
@@jameslong654 after I did more LED Lights. I have a link to a relay in my rear bumper video. Check that out!
where can i get that same harness?
If that link in the description doesn't work, I would search the Samurai 2.0 Facebook group! 🤙🏻
@@FortuneOffRoad thanks
Hola buenas me puedes mandar el circuito de conexión de los reles porfa
Hola, dejaron de fabricar ese kit de cableado en Amazon. Creo que tendras que hacer uno. 👍🏻
Where did u wire the dlr to.
The white DRL came from the marker lights on the side of the fenders and the amber DRL came from the blinker wire. 🤙🏻
Im converting a 86 tin top to led....
Nice it's a great upgrade
Link to the LED lights are now to a different design.......
Thanks! Looks like they discontinued them. I updated the link with a close alternative from them. 🤙🏻
i borrowed power from right here. really? what is "right here"? waste of time
