- The Scottish government has ditched its flagship target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2030 after accepting that it is now "out of reach".
Thomas Moore has been finding out what it could cost the country.

Good. About time a politician scrapped the biggest lie and con ever made. Time to get back to some common sense
What outrage? Any rational person knows net zero is a con.
Heatwave in Scotland YES PLEASE 😂😂😂
I'm sure the Beef farmers will be happy.
@@StarSprangledBanner Especially if they got the £61million funding that Scot gov are withholding.!
Why did`nt they interview somebody that said they were outraged. More Scotland bad waffle.
Wow!!!, never thought I would ever see common sense prevail in politics.
Why disable comments on the murrell corruption videos?
Because it’s legal charges. Pretty obvious.
Too many hurty feelings!
Only an English journalist would cover a piece about Scottish politics by going to an English Cricket ground of all places. That's just weird.
Sounds like a job for Tom Heap at the -Clown- Climate Show.
Relax! All that triggering could cause global warming.
So it`s Scotland`s fault that an English cricket ground is getting flooded.
Bizarre wasn’t it?
Was that just more “Scotland bad for England - look at the consequences to England of Scotlands (common sense) approach!”
@@gordonthomson7533 Was`nt it just. It would be interesting to know, by how much, we have reduced our greenhouse gas emissions up till now, with all these windmills.
@@davidsbain4687ideally it will assist in killing the Hill of Fare wind farm but who knows…

@davidbain4687. Look this is Sky News reporting this, so in fact it would not only be bias reporting but utter rubbish! Sky News always lefty liberal tosh.

Milankovitch cycles describe the collective effects of changes in the Earth's movements on its climate over thousands of years. The term was coined and named after the Serbian geophysicist and astronomer Milutin Milanković. In the 1920s, he hypothesized that variations in eccentricity, axial tilt, and precession combined to result in cyclical variations in the intra-annual and latitudinal distribution of solar radiation at the Earth's surface, and that this orbital forcing strongly influenced the Earth's climatic patterns.
On point. 👍
Exactly. People need to start looking up, our magnetosphere is struggling just for one example.
@@HzHz agreed.
And this is not new! Stood the test of time - about 70 years!
Keeping folks distracted, whilst pocketing the cash seemed to be the order of the day back then.

Absolutely right, and this planet was full of vegetation...Why?, because without co² we would all be dead.
How many humans was that able to sustain though?
There aren't any but end of last ice age 13,000years ago it was about 3 times thank goodness so the trees and plants could recover.
Using a 190 year period of weather out of 5 Billion years of earth's existence? It snowed yesterday ......does tbat mean the next ice age is coming?
Humans are incapable of changing their environment. We keep contradicting ourselves through life.
Cut emissions means cut jobs
A few weeks ago there were headlines that the UK was going to have a global warming heatwave. It never turned up and I still have to have the heating on in the house. I hate it when the Global warming fails to materialise.
My apologies, when I said 'hate', I mean't to have said 'disappointed' as I really do not need a Police Scotland Constable coming to my front door here in Dundee, to be arrested for a Hate Crime against the Climate, whilst the Climate is looking for Justice during its Emergency as stated by the Criminal Fraudster in her declaration on this video.
I miss Jimmy Krankie running the SNP 🤣

@00:53 - pointless emissions? 😂

This is complete BS from Sky.
UK news and general ignorant public opinion south of border is eternally dismissive of Scotland, unless it’s for shortbread tin balls.
One day, within my lifetime I hope, Scotland will be independent and completely able to define and build its own house from ground up (not just what furniture to put in its rented accommodation).
The money provided by English taxpayers is disappearing in Scotland, where has it all gone?
SNP Folks used to clap so enthusiastically back then.
