- A man whose asylum bid was rejected by the UK has been moved to Rwanda with up to £3,000 in financial aid from the government. He wasn't forcibly removed, but instead taking part in a voluntary returns scheme. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
Under the government's separate plan to forcibly remove people to Rwanda, detentions have already begun, even though the first removal flights are not expected for weeks.

Yes, this needs to be dealt with at source. If you look on Google Maps, you will see that they are passing through at least six countries to get here. Under international law, they should be stopping at the first safe country they enter into if they are genuinely fleeing from persecution. Disabled people in the UK are going to be losing benefits and being sent to work even though they are incapable because the UK government is spending all taxpayers money on these illegal economic migrants. My biggest problem is with France. They know exactly where the smugglers are buying the black rubber dinghies from. They should stop the supply. Now the UK is no longer a part of the European Union, the government should impose sanctions on France for allowing this to continue.

Until the UK and Ireland say to people arriving on their shores, “you _will_ be deported, unless you can categorically prove you are a _genuine_ asylum seeker”, then this stuff will just continue. It’s not rocket science: if I can walk into your house, and you’re not gonna do anything about it, then what do you expect?
It's the governmen'ts failure to deal properly with asylum applications (bogus or otherwise) which has led to this situation. This policy wont solve the problem, but it will cost you and me, as taxpayers, an absolute fortune.
The Problem is, this Rwanda deal means, people are send there before they can prove anything. It also means, even if they can prove they are asylum seekers by UK standard ( if there is such a thing anymore) they have no right to return to the UK. They stay in Rwanda, a country that is a dictatorship and very much involved in the cruel war in the Congo.

This has nothing to do with humanitarian aid. These folks with all premeditation and advantage are smuggling into the country while high skilled follow the procedures to enter legally.

This is the only sensible solution and would benefit everyone except the criminal gangs.
Returning them to France would smash the traffickers' business model. Who is going to stump up money to have a round trip in a leaky dinghy? Once word gets out, the migrant camps will vanish from Calais, Dunkirk and other coastal towns. This is a win for France, because migrants won't even bother to enter the country if there is no prospect of reaching Britain. The French asylum system is much stricter than ours so the pull will not be there.
It's a win for us because we can then only let documented people into the country. It is a sort of win for the migrants because they will not have to risk their lives

What's the difference between London and Kigali? Both countries are peaceful.
I suggest you look at some vids of Kigali. It's way nicer and much much cleaner than London. One of the reasons for that is that once a month EVERYONE must take a day off work and together they go out and clean and maintain the city...including the President. It resembles Switzerland more than Africa, and London is more like what you imagine Africa to be like.

I'm currently being made homeless through no fault of my own, no help from the government whatsoever. In two weeks time I will be homeless. How much cheaper would it be to reach a deal with the French to station British troops on French soil to stop 100% of boat crossings. Probably 100x cheaper and we know why it's not being done - because it would be effective, and if there's no immigration increasing year-by-year the government can't maintain the state pension.
Immigration is net loss so does not benefit the base that provides revenue to fund pensions going forward. But what it does do is destroy our country culturally, economically, socially and politically.

The video is telling you the physical cost Brits are paying to send these people back to Rwanda and the government is getting a kickback for taking them in. The citizens have lost while they think they are winning because immigrants are being kicked out. The emotional and psychological damage being done to the people being sent back is even more payment that Brits are adding because it’s heinous to send them back to a place they barely survived escaping. Asylum seekers are NOT illegal! If the government made legal routes available it would stop people taking dangerous routes to come here. Nobody talks about migrants the UK brings in legally to fill vacancies. Why not let asylum seekers work?
There is legal immigration - too many in fact but you don't know whether asylum seekers are illegal or not do you? In any case anybody who lands on our shores having not gone through legal avenues is and should be classed as an invader/ illegal migrant and immediately deported.

@@shanemcpherson1015I'm afraid I have little sympathy for many Ukrainians. The ones in our town were interviewed by local rag. Interesting stories to say the least. One lady had fled to Germany with her children as her Mother was settled there. Fair enough good for her. But she had "always wanted to study in Scotland" so left her children safe and sound in Germany with her Mother and proceeded to grift away taking a place from local college from more deserving person, free student accomodation the rallying round of the community etc was nauseating. This story was repeated with slight variations but of the group of ten or so most had decided to leave safe European country to take advantage of us.
