I have both but the Xbox is definitely my primary system. I prefer the UI and little perks like it turning my TV and soundbar on/off. I also like the way it handles multiple accounts since I have kids. They have full access to everything where some games on PS4 require each user to own a copy of the game.

The xbox one x cpu is not ryzen based. It is a custom jaguar design. If it was a Ryzen chip it would be even faster and 4k60 would be a walk in the park.

Almost postitive the CPU is based off the Jaguar architecture. Even months ago they were saying that leaving the Jaguar architecture behind would be a huge undertaking for developers to have to develop for both the xbox one and xbox one X. Then there was mention of compatibility issues if leaving Jaguar etc.
People, remember to upgrade your tvs to 4k to take advantage of the xbox x, and also buy a good home theater system to take the most out of dolby atmos, since the tv speakers are just not good.
The Xbox One X is pretty much the only way I'd get a Xbox One, but even then the price is so high. Regardless, I'll wait and see some comparison videos of it to see if it's worth all the money. But with my PS4, and between thinking about getting either this, a PS VR, a Switch, or even a PS Vita, who knows what'll happen?

i had an RX480 nmyself its a great Full HD gpu , but for 4k it was useless , and the Console has a garbage cpu so they cant even go for full hd ultra either

Okay so the PS4 Pro has checkerboard 4K, which to the human eye looks just as fine as regular 4K. The Xbox Box one X has true 4K which looks slightly better to the human eye. The PS4 Pro costs 400$ and the Xbox one X costs 500$. So it is simply your choice if you want to to spend in extra 100$ just to have that slight edge.
I'll rather wait for the PS5 or Xbox 2 or whatever it's going to be called. They are already said to come out either in late 2018 or somewhere during 2019 so it's not ages away. Not only that but if they want to sell the next gen consoles then they'll have to be EXTREMELY powerful to put decent gaps between the current consoles. Absolutely wrong about the processor. It is based on an improved and more efficecint version of AMDs older architecture with higher clock speeds, not Ryzen. The next generation will likely be based an some version of Ryzen but this processer is much slower than even the R3 line. Digital Foundery has done many excellent videos on the topic.

Well, no, I don't think so. If you already own multiple Xbox One games, then you'd be better off with the S, or waiting for the price to go down. But right now, the S has nearly 2 times the price to performance. If you DON'T have any Xbox games, you could easily build an equivalent PC for the same price, and have all the advantages associated with that platform.

There were quite a few lies/slip ups they made. Although I certainly enjoyed the video. Mainly they said it was using Ryzen Zen cores, but it's just using improved Jaguar cores. AKA nearly the same as the original One.
If Microsoft wants me to get an XB1X all they have to do is mandate a 60fps mode. 4K/30FPS is fine and while I know that Forza is 4K/60, I know other games like Shadow of War and Destiny 2 still run at 30. If Microsoft can guarantee 60fps modes (I don’t care if it is at 1080p or even 900p or dynamic resolution) then I’m sold. IIRC Wolfenstein TNO ran at 60 FPS with a dynamic resolution on the original XB1 so it isn’t some magical Unicorn. It’s an actual thing that devs can do. Unless 60fps is normal thing On XB1X, I don’t care to get an XB1X. Granted I’m not keeping up on all the XB1X news I’m also curious about the noise of the fan. From what I’ve seen nobody is allowed to show what the console sounds like when it is running demanding games so that has me concerned. But also nobody brings it up so I’m hopeful. I have a gaming PC (i5, RX470) so Microsoft has got an uphill struggle. Also, while the price will drop for the console by the middle or end of next year, the price to build a comparable rig will stay pretty much at launch console price. And then you also have the hassle associated with installing a game on PC, having it run at optimal settings for your rig etc. PC sounds good when you ignore all the hoops you have to jump through to make it a worthwhile gaming machine.

Absolutely wrong about the processor. It is based on an improved and more efficecint version of AMDs older architecture with higher clock speeds, not Ryzen. The next generation will likely be based an some version of Ryzen but this processer is much slower than even the R3 line. Digital Foundery has done many excellent videos on the topic.

it's not meant to compete against PC it's meant to give some PC visual quality to console. I'll be honest PC is the most powerful but not everyone has the time, money, or interest to put one together or research all the specs to know if the one they by pre built is any good

what do you mean by that ? on PC theres many options , from low to Ultra / custom , the one x wont give you settings , you will just get low like on all consoles
and if you are talking about "4k" ( 3840 × 2160 Pixels ) well if a game runs at low settings in that resolution , its better to stick to 1080p or 1440p ( i switched to playing ff13-2 in 1440p since that traainwreck doesnt run well in 4k)

The CPU is fine even if you put the best CPU in there you cannot put all games and 60 frames and 4K especially open world

I don't understand the hate for ps4 here. Both are great consoles. I bought the ps4 for the exclusive games I wanted, I bought a switch for my Nintendo fix, and I'll be buying the Xbox one x for the 4k blu ray and the exclusives there. All of them have their pros and cons.

The only reason I'm iffy about this xbox because the xbox never played 1080p but they are just going to jump stright to 4k. Plus there is no ddr5 ram graphic cards have ddr5 but not ram, the highest ram you can get is ddr4. .

Well, no, I don't think so. If you already own multiple Xbox One games, then you'd be better off with the S, or waiting for the price to go down. But right now, the S has nearly 2 times the price to performance. If you DON'T have any Xbox games, you could easily build an equivalent PC for the same price, and have all the advantages associated with that platform.

There were quite a few lies/slip ups they made. Although I certainly enjoyed the video. Mainly they said it was using Ryzen Zen cores, but it's just using improved Jaguar cores. AKA nearly the same as the original One.
If Microsoft wants me to get an XB1X all they have to do is mandate a 60fps mode. 4K/30FPS is fine and while I know that Forza is 4K/60, I know other games like Shadow of War and Destiny 2 still run at 30. If Microsoft can guarantee 60fps modes (I don’t care if it is at 1080p or even 900p or dynamic resolution) then I’m sold. IIRC Wolfenstein TNO ran at 60 FPS with a dynamic resolution on the original XB1 so it isn’t some magical Unicorn. It’s an actual thing that devs can do. Unless 60fps is normal thing On XB1X, I don’t care to get an XB1X.
Granted I’m not keeping up on all the XB1X news I’m also curious about the noise of the fan. From what I’ve seen nobody is allowed to show what the console sounds like when it is running demanding games so that has me concerned. But also nobody brings it up so I’m hopeful.
I have a gaming PC (i5, RX470) so Microsoft has got an uphill struggle. Sure it isn’t a 4K machine, but I’ll get my 60 FPS and as far as I can tell I won’t have any trouble getting Microsoft games going forward. No this isn’t a PCMR thing. I’d love to leave PC gaming, but they are the only place that can guarantee 60 FPS.
Oh yeah, I also have an XB1 so I’ll still get to play all the Backwards compatible games I’m not playing because new games are out. Backwards compatibility would be a cool launch/year 1 thing to have to ease the transition to the new gen, but were in year 4 entering year 5. If all you got is, “hey remember these old games you used to play? Go play those” that tells me as a consumer looking for the latest and greatest your lineup is crap and you know it.
I want to like the XB1X, but it just doesn’t speak to me. It doesn’t upgrade in a manner I care for. I can’t get myself excited for this.
I already have a XB1S so I bought a PS4 pro. I might get a XB1X in a few months, some Christmas bargains will be coming.

SkullGM Equal to, but half of the appeal of a PC is that it runs games BETTER, and for that, you're going to pay significantly more. Also, while the price will drop for the console by the middle or end of next year, the price to build a comparable rig will stay pretty much at launch console price. And then you also have the hassle associated with installing a game on PC, having it run at optimal settings for your rig etc.
PC sounds good when you ignore all the hoops you have to jump through to make it a worthwhile gaming machine.
