    If you are looking for sight tapes for the Hotwire, the original website I referenced no longer exists. I have uploaded a copy of the tapes to my website. thebudgetsportsman.com/sight-tapes/

    It is one of if not the best hunting or 3d shooting bow sight i have ever used. I have been bowhunting for 5 years now i went from fixed pins to singles to floaters then i went to this hybrid hotwire. I went from 4 inch groups at 30 yards to 2 inch groups at any yardage i want. It is truly awesome.

    Great review, helped me choose this sight to try out! A few tips on the not having the adjustments marked- if you can’t remember which way moves the pins up or down just move the 3rd pin knob and the 20 & 30 pin adjust the same way. Also A way to remember which one is 20 is it’s the screw that’s closer to the riser (I think of it as the closer target)

      Glad the review was helpful and I appreciate your tips. It certainly not hard to figure out but I feel like it would have been simple to add some markings.
      Thanks for watching!

    Thank you for the great review you know as well as I that archery is trivial. That’s what sets us apart from other sports and hunters. There is a reason we split hairs. That’s the difference between a harvest and a wound or miss. Good stuff

    I have my 1st bow. It is a bear paradox. 55 to 70 pounds. Ibo is 330 fps. 32 inches axle to axle. I have the Trophy ridge REACT pro 5 site. Qad drop away. Two 6 inch Trophy ridge hitman stabilizers and a Apex side mount rear bar. The bow shoots great. The site is great. Should be for almost 200 bucks. Nice review.

    Your first video is what made me pull the trigger on this sight. However I noticed the same things you did and also that the sight is a little heavy. Over all I love the sight but next year I will up grade to a more expensive sight. My son really likes this sight so I'll prolly hand it down to him if he wants it. Thanks for the review. Matt

    One of your critiques is that the tool doesn't say which way to turn for up or down, but you don't give that piece of information in this video. I came to this video looking for that information.

    Just now considering this sight for my new hunting bow. I am wandering about the sight tapes and how easy is it to get sighted in for the third pin? Would you consider making a video showing how to sight this in and what methods you used to make your decision on what tape to use? Thanks, great video!

    • @TheBudgetSportsman
      @TheBudgetSportsman  2 роки тому +1

      I used some free sight tapes I found online. I mentioned it a little bit in my original review video (not this update video).
      I started with a piece of masking tape and sighted in 20, 30, 40 and made marks on the tape. I probably would go ahead and move the 3rd pin to 50 and 60 making marks on the tape each time. Then you can use the marks on your masking tape to line up and match which sight tape you need. Replace the masking tape with the sight tape making sure you align it correctly and you should be good to go.
      I printed the sight tape on an adhesive address label and covered it with clear tape. Then cut it out and you have a peel and stick sight tape.

    Has there been anyone that you’ve spoken too who has put this sight on a faster bow and seen a difference in how it shoots. I am looking for a new sight and like the idea of this sight. I would just like to hear if anyone has issues with this sight on a faster bow. Thank you for the review it really has helped in my research. Hope you have a safe and bountiful hunting season. God bless

      I do not know anyone personally, perhaps another viewer will chime in.
      I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t work. In fact I would think you would be able to get more range out of the sight. The key to having good success with the sight is finding it making the perfect sight tape. The ones included will not give you the best results.
      Thanks for watching.

      Thanks for the info. I am shooting a Triax set at 67lbs and a 28” draw. So I’m getting 293fps. I was just wondering bc like I has stated I am in the market for another sight. I currently shoot a Trophy Ridge Hitman 7 and I honestly want to get rid of some of the clutter without sacrificing a long range pin. Love the videos you’re posting and what you’re doing to help us all as hunters. Keep up the awesome work you’re doing. Stay safe and god bless.

    Thanks for the review, what about the sight light, does the hole housing glow as it is the case with most bow sights? Or do only the pins glow in the dark? i know its not a big deal if you hunt at daylight but if you hunt at night, its a real pain.

    What is the sight made of?
    Im currently using a G5 optix with 3 fixed and 1 floater. The floater i never use cause I will never need to shoot that far. My top pin is good out to 30yds, then 40 and 50 (which i won't use either). Point being i can't use a 20 and 30yd pins separately cause they will be to close together cause im shooting about 335fps.
    So I'm thinking of this 3 pin set at 25yds, 35yds and then the floater.

  • @WillLarsen6411
    @WillLarsen6411 3 роки тому

    Does it come with sight tape? I haven’t been able to find anything online about it. Basically, when you turn the floating pin nob, how do you know what yardage your turning it to?

    • @TheBudgetSportsman
      @TheBudgetSportsman  3 роки тому

      It comes with some very generic sight tapes that are pretty worthless in my opinion. I printed my own and it’s working out great.
      I talk about how and where I got my sight tape in my original review video.
