The car is pretty mint anyways so I'm just doing some little tidy up jobs, in this video I tackle the few problems I've found including the AYC pump leaking!

I'm surprised those disks warped so much.
Do you think they were overheated, then parked without cooling down. Leaving a hot spot?

Usually its when you drove it hard then stop at the traffic lights and leave your foot on the brake, hot spots that one place and then they warp. I used to change a lot of discs on automatic cars because of that. 👍👍

To fix that cracked pump. Find a stainless bolt that will screw all the way and build it back up with weld. The aluminium doesnt stick to stainless and wil literally unscrew leaving you the original thread placement
It went down a fair bit which was a pain, runs about 200psi so thought would just get a good one 👍
@ODDAutos if it was my own vehicle id try it and see.. but its going to be someone's pride and joy so best to get a new solid one if they dont crash it like that red one 🤦 keep up the good work on the vids

That pump looks like a nightmare to fix. Even how rust free the bolts where.
Yer the donor one wasn’t as good, had to drill all the bolts out 🫤

Wonder if they are Godspeed G hook discs? Heard so many conflicting reviews on them with loads of people saying they warped.
Lovely car but so much to go wrong. Mine has carbs and servo assisted brakes from the manifold's vaccuum. So little to go wrong (although it still does).

How long was the wait for the disks and also same question for the pump?
Some cars are sitting idol as the wait time on the specific part can take ages, I ordered a new wheel from Alfa a few years ago and after 2 months called to check and was told it’s still on back order……… shipped in the next month or so. Got it 3 months later😢😂
Took a few days for the brakes, the pump was harder. Lucky to find a used one with a good casing 👍

Nice looking evo. 550hp is too much for an AYC rear diff tho. Better to replace the rear diff before you reach that power level. The Evo Wagon comes with the stronger RS rear diff which is a huge benefit but you still need the AYC pump for the front end. cheers from Australia
