Awesome looking car.
Excellent content from you Paul.
Mint! Glad you liked the vid mate 👍
Ive always loved the escort cosworth. Ive never been keen on these headlights but who cares when it still looks great. Love the videos. 🙂
Cracking detailed video as always. Alot of youtube channels just add music and speed them up and don’t show how they fixed the problem. Professional work as always
Cheers Jamie, yes had fun with this vid mate
Awesome work as usual Paul. Fantastic car now in A1 condition, I'll have a couple of tickets when it comes online!
Thanks David, it’s a shame I can’t have a go as I’d have a few too. It drives soo good.
Great to see you back Paul. What a car ❤.

Another awesome job, Paul, and what a beautiful car. 😍
Cheers mate, glad you liked the vid 👍👍
My dad always says "If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem" you proved him wrong haha
Looks mega and nice work.
Nice to see one in a good spec with some quality parts nice job on bringing her up to a good standard loved it 👍

Hi cozies are a mean ford machine and always will be. the escort cozy was originally designed to have 3 wings on the tail gate but was sold with just the 2 just watching this jogged the old memory i hope this information helped regarding the cozy escort
Brillaint! Il be watching for that comp
Good luck mate 👍
Good to see a new video mate👍
Thanks mate, hope you liked it 👍
Wheels are unreal . Perfection
Great job once again and what a lovely car!
Cheers Chris, its definitely a proper nice one 👍
Your videos are so good, love watching them. Sad when fix cars all day then watch videos at night😂 must be something wrong with us all😂
Mega job!
Great video!
Great vid. FYI, supplied a few of the dressy bits that went into the engine bay, so would be so ironic if the whole lot went back to me again, down the line, lol!
Great video Paul as always. Got to say, I love seeing a new one from you, it's like seeing a new episode of my favourite TV show available!
Always loved the Cosworths, haven't we all... though for me, the wheels don't work on this one. I know real BBS are mega expensive, but I just don't know about them. *When* I win it I guess I can just sell them on for a profit anyway 😝
Any idea on the power this one's running? Noticed it has the standard airbox, but then obviously those insane brakes!? Guess I'll wait for the road test/more info from DCG.
Cheers Jim, glad you liked the vid mate. Yes have a watch of the road test vid on their youtube, it drives me soo soo nice mate 👍
It's the finishing touches that make a great car. 👍
One way to stop the brakefluid from running out empty from the lines, is to press the brake pedal just 1 - 2cm in. That way the resorvoir will be blocked by the piston inside the mastercylinder. You don't spill one drop while taking things apart and much easier when bleeding the lines afterwards.
Cool car. Brings back some good memories... Cheers from Norway 🙂
Yes usually do that but it’s electronic servo on this, the motor turns on a pumps the fluid through when the brake pedals slightly down. 👍
Need's a nice original Rims there and it's prefect 👌
Great job greetings from the Netherlands
Long Wait for a new upload and what a car!! Would give my left knacker for an escort cossie
Me too mate 😍
Rest of the video awesome
Lovely car and great work.
Cheers MD, glad you enjoyed it mate
Great video
Cheers Robert 👍
Shame it wasn't left standard but still a lovely cossie good video...
Love those cars . Iv never had one never even sat in one . Cause i know i want one so bad . One of the only rs brands i never had . Kinda grown up by then llf . Stil dont know what to do for a living and am 55 lol
Nice brake fix
Great job as always
👍🏴😁✌️
Cheers chopper, yes after driving this one I wouldn’t mind one now. Soo expensive though so only chance I’d get is if I won one 👍
@@ODDAutos same here pal stunning cars
👍🏴😁✌️
Great job. This is nice looking escort. I bet it could stop on a dime with those brakes
It’s got electric servo assist too so it practically does an endo when you hit the brakes, super good 👍
Lovely car Paul mate, still my favourite car ever. The coolest thing from our generation, still look ace to this day.
Looks proper mean doesn’t it, nothing better than a car with fat boxy arches 😍
You make it look easy 🤪👊
Car is looking clean!
It’s super nice!
I actually rate the wheels, obviously different and I bet they look fantastic when rolling. It’s overall actually suits the car with running the morrettes.
What a car. Did your brother paint it ?. Looks mega 💯
Was painted somewhere up north, they did a mint job 👍
Did you fit a cover for the battery positive terminal?
Looks a belter. Will watch this tonight with a brew. I must say though, I'm not a fan of the wheels at all.
Cheers buddy, hope you enjoy mate.
Lovely engineering
It’s a lovely car 😍
lovely
Cheers buddy 👍
Enjoyed this one, as usual. What's happening with the garage? Have you managed to sort out whether you can stay? Cheers 😂
Have a hearing on the 19th of June about the workshop, will find out mid July so 🤞 for then.
@@ODDAutos Good luck then Paul. It must be gutting for you after all you've done to it. 👍👍
Totally mate, if it passes it’s still only class B1 use and a car workshop is B2. Hopefully can do something then.
Always amazes me that all these modified cars you work on have some sort of safety issue.
Makes for a good video though 👌
Ha ha yes mate, at least it gives me something to do 👍
An absolute dreamcar indeed
100% mate, lovely
I don’t understand how people can spend a fortune on their car but ignore the little jobs. £15k on wheels and tyres but a block of wood as a battery clamp for example.
Same. That would drive my ocd mad.
Who ever wins this car will have nightmares trying to insure it, not only is it very valuable, but it's modified, so special insurance, probably a special insurance company for modified cars and a vehicle report the work is safe for the road.
Drooling over those brakes omg
They are mega massive, work awesome 👍
Wicked job Paul you certainly know your stuff. What an amazing car 😊😊😊
Thanks Dave, yes it’s definitely a minter 😍
just a couple of things let this car down glad some of them have been sorted. I couldn't leave mine like that no battery cover worrying when using round terminals (097 are still available) please put something over the battery saves it shorting out on the bonnett battery fuse cover missing spent money on cosmetics rather than sorting out the little bits how can you not have locking wheel nuts
at last, someone has the discs on in the correct rotation...
i reckon it needed a good roadtest to bed those brakes in...
Ha ha always triggers me when they are backwards too 👍
Wow, that Escort 1.3 LX steering wheel. The cossie should have had a better looking sporty steering wheel. Every other escort has the same steering wheel. Awesome car though! Absolute icon,
Yes I know what you mean, needed something special from factory 👍
Couple of points… Cosworth’s had dual horns not single, the wheels don’t suit the car at all, 20K for the respray and the lights are disconnected…
Great wheel choice, can’t go wrong with a set of BBS
Lovely motor - not too keen on that style of wheel
It’s a real nice car 👍
😍😍
It deffo it mate 😍
Wheels
Make it.
👌🏻🔥🔥🔥
Cheers 👍👍
Lovely car but can't work out it it's brown or maroon. I'm sure the colour looks good in the sunlight though.
I think it was Aubergine which is a dark purple with hints of red. Sometimes in the camera it was darker than other times. Great colour though 👍
Washer motor I thought that on my car and looked at the fuse and it was the fuse
I'm feeling lucky, boys! I've got to win one of these days...
I got one of them knocking sticks lol
Them diagnostic hammers work on anything 🤣
Bodyshops are propa good at not putting things back correctly even some of the more expensive bodyshops😂
The only issue is see on this little beaut is them wheels 😱 !
They are nicer up close 👍
the only thing that ruins this is the silly stretched tyres...
Would look better with some big 5 spoke on it 🔥
Nice car but the rims are to wide for the tyres.
Lovely car but those wheels have to go!
If you're going to have a racey Ford, this'll do the trick. The tyres look a bit stretched or is that just me being an ol' fart?
They are a tad stretched, sits nice on them though 👍
Have you heard about this new Clarkson legislation that's been passed to allow farm outbuildings to be reutilised...perhaps it may help with your unit?
Yes mate, looks real promising! Just fingers crossed for this hearing I’ve got on June 19th 🤞
20k paint and a bit of 4x2 holding the battery 😂
Fancy selling them 7.5j Rs 4 spokes ?
Thinking of building a kit car in the future and putting them on mate, if I change my mind will let you know 👍
What you doing lying on the floor when you've got a ramp 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤔🤔
A 20k respray... my god! It looks mint though.
It’s a proper mint paint job to be fair, can’t fault it anywhere 😍
It's not a 96.it has the large early wing mirrors, probably be a 93 or 94 lad 👍🏻
Nice car though 😊
Lovely motor i just don't think those bbs's suit her
You do a lot of those "competitions" in the UK, right? Not the first UK car channel I've seen call gambling that strange name. Is that some law thing, I mean - you ask a stupid question and that stops it from being a lucky draw and changes it to a competition?
It’s luck of the draw mate, just gives people a chance of getting a nice car. My sister won a brand new mini a few years back for £1. Traded it in for a new Vw golf after.
Why why why do people neglect brakes
I know, think they were going to do the handbrake but would of taken a while
I’m not sure that handbrake is correct. You need a few hours in a Tesco car park doing hand brake turns and a Scandinavian flick (just to test it of course in the name of safety)
Ha ha true it needs testing, that’s why I was worried about making the brackets, they need to be super strong for the scandi flicks 🤣
Why would anybody spend that amount of money on a respray when the basics aren’t working correctly?
Shocking wheels
Wheels too big. Lights too round. Nice chocolatey colour.
It’s still an old Escort!
Absolute failure on the wheels front.
£20k respray .. blimey
Wheels are terrible. It needs compomotive th2
They are nicer up close mate 👍
