boo get jumpscared by video I promise I am cooking up stuff for the rest of this month still!! Also, sorry about some audio issues in this one. Didn’t have as much time to record and had to make do with some takes that sounded strange or incorrect.
I'm honestly anticipating very specific dates for TTYD Remake's release. 2024 is the 20 year anniversary of TTYD, so putting it out on the old JP (July 22nd) or NA (October 11th) release date would be a huge nod towards an anniversary celebration.
January 1st? That is way too soon and unlikely. I get it, we all want it already lol but you know what they say: "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.“@@slenderfoxx3797
You should make a video on this topic: "what would happen if ALPHA dream came back? And, how would they revive the Mario and Luigi series if they had the chance?"
I hope this gets good reception from fans and Nintendo decides to do both a remake of Paper Mario 64 and also do a new game in the style of both of them.
There’s on average only 2 Mario series releases in a year, usually 1 in spring and another in autumn. Considering that they just rapid fire release 3 in the span of 2 months, and we’re already getting 2 early next year, it’s definitely not coming out until mid-late 2024. And the only reason it could be late summer and not just October is because that’s when Nintendo most likely plans to release Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. also, it doesn’t matter how quickly intelligent systems were able to complete it, Nintendo most likely likes to sit on some releases for a bit rather than shoving them out the door as soon as they’re completed.
I feel like January-March is kinda ruled out since we have major releases on all of those months so they would want to spread them, I think April-June is likely
I doubt I think they're going to do what they did with the mario rpg remake which is announce more info in a direct and come out 2 months later assuming the direct takes place in february like normal then that means it might come out april ( assuming my theory is right)
Good video Lizardy, I waited to you upload to ask you a thing: How did you managed to find and send e-mails to the Alphadream employees you did couple months ago? I want to do the same but to contact someone at Camelot Software Planning (the Mario Golf and Tennis devs).
@@DawayneBuffin-ho5mn Hope you enjoy it! I knew someone that was introduced to Paper Mario by the worst game in the series, Sticker Star. And then he thought all Paper Mario games were like this! Poor soul
In my mind, I was thinking this game would come in April. I know that seems kinda early, but Origami King came out just a few months after being announced, so it's obviously not impossible for April being the game's release date. It also makes since for the game's 20th anniversary to release again in the exact same month as it did in the US. Finally, April is my birth month, so that would be exciting for me personally. If it came out sooner, I wouldn't mind though.
Why does the US release date Matter so much??? Lol Mario vs donkey Kong came out in June yet it’s remake is coming in February so it really doesn’t matter make it make sense.
@@Kbxbigbro808 This game is special. Mario Vs Donkey Kong isn't nearly as influential as this game. Furthermore, we haven't gotten a Paper Mario game like this in 20 years, and they might want to release it for the 20th anniversary.
Usually when they don't give a month, but only give a year is because development has way too far to go yet. So no, this won't be out in Spring. I'm going to more realistically guess it will be out at around this same time next year, November at best.
in recent years announcing games and releasing them sooner after has become a trend for Nintendo, and games like Peach Showtime will have vague 2024 release dates in 2023, and then releases in March 2024 Releasing in April-May with a specific release date (having a specific date would be so they could guarantee all other factors with the release, like manufacturing so its not best to give a specific date so far away) but announcing it in September 2023 would feel too late to announce an actual date for, but not too early to just give 2024 to simplify things and in case something happened during development
OK here's my crazy theory: Pikmin 4 was announced in 2022's September Direct with a "2023" release date, just like TTYD. That game released on July 21st 2023. Paper Mario TTYD originally released in Japan on July 22nd 2004. This lines up so perfectly that I predict TTYD will be released on either July 19th 2024 or July 26th 2024, as those are the closest Fridays to the 20th anniversary. We will likely hear more about the game in February as Nintendo has consistently had a February Direct every year since 2019 (apart from 2020, which had an Animal Crossing Direct in February). I'm not sure about April but I think Side Order will be in May (which was tweeted as "spring 2024 at the earliest") and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD will be in June (as that's Summer 2024). However, the February Direct might not happen as many people are speculating about a Switch 2 reveal in early 2024, where I think we'll see Metroid Prime 4 and TTYD confirmed as cross-gen titles. If this happens, they might use the 20th anniversary of the US or EU release dates, which were later in 2004. Hopefully in a few months we will find out if Nintendo are predictable or not! (and if I'm just crazy lol)
US and EU release dates doesn’t matter, it should be when the game originally came out and that’s July, And it’s supposedly summer 2024 so it all lines up for July and it makes sense.
It’s NOT a remake - they’re still using Peach’s same SUPER outdated N64 era dress that shouldn’t have been there in the original, let alone this so called “remake” KRtDLDX is a real remake. Look at Meta Knight’s updated design

Funny you say that Origami King was polished, cause I vaguely recall that game having a major softlock that had to be patched in an update

TTYD: May *17th*
