Who else absolutely loves Rapido?
We do! :-D
rapidotrains Y’all are the best and I’m going to be spending an exorbitant amount of pennies on the NS/SOU versions.
I forgot one more thing, The yellow beacon on the Santa Fe looks so realistic great job guys. That yellow beacon really makes it look fantastic
Thanks!
Handrails truly never have looked that good! Gareth did a fantastic job on this model, I would love to see more obscure American GE's modeled by him as he's truly done the B36-7 justice with this! Got my Norfolk Southern high hooded one on preorder and can't wait to get it. :D
We'll pass on the compliments - thanks a lot!
The part about the handrails 6:46 those are the best looking handrails I've ever seen. I would like to see a little more about the process at the factory in the future. Very cool.
Thanks! We will try to get to the injection shop when they are making them, but no guarantees as it only takes a few hours and we're not there all the time.
The opening shot, with the locomotive running through the open corn fields, is awesome! Good work guys!
Thanks Blaine - it's a beauty, eh?
A couple of years beyond my era (1978), but those are awesome Models!! The Beacon with micro SMDs are GENIUS! And, the Sound is perfect.
Thanks for the kind words!
You guys up north "ROCK it OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" This unit is my favorite. The stanchions are Superb. You have alot of excellent talent working at Rapido for sure. Thank you for a brass plastic model of history for me. So glad you are in business!
Thanks, Chad - we appreciate the support, eh?
VERY impatiently awaiting the release of these bad boys!!
Production has started!
Sweet!!! Looking fantastic guys!
I bought two of these in SP livery after watching this video. I can't wait to unbox them and get a test run in.
Enjoy!
Beeeauty for sure!!! That 4-l.e.d. Stratolite is amazing! I can't wait to get my SP units. I hope some SSW units will be following at some point too. Then maybe one would end up in a ditch and lose it's cab.....hmmmm, did someone just say cabless B-boat b-unit? There were more than just 1. Just sayin' guys. That is a super nice layout too. I love the HO scale pacing drone shots.
That pacing drone shot is our favorite too - the scenery looks real!
Quality will out. I enjoy your videos on a very basic level, not my country, region or era. Not started my adult layout yet. But just look at those two locomotives! Sincerely, super detailed and realistic and the best gauge of everything making them look solid. Can't fault the enthusiasm, detail, quality or ethics of your company. Just very well conceived and me here in my armchair. Congratulations Jason and team! Regards Stephen.
Thanks for the kind words, Stephen!
Doggonit... Another that makes me envious of my other favorite period, the 84-85 transition from N&W and Southern to NS. As it is, modeling 1950, I can’t use it, obviously, but it’s good enough to make me go, hmmmmmm... Just gorgeous guys!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
I’m really not a Santa Fe guy but that cool beacon could change my mind! Well done!👍
Thanks!
Amazing work as always. I cant wait for my pre ordered Conrail unit!
Thanks!
Oh my goodness! The attention to detail is amazing. Absolutely beautiful.
Please move into the O-Scale market. Please.
Thanks, Carl! Maybe one day...
Carl Peduzzi, I will Second that. O Scale 2 Rail
Love it ..Love it ..Love it !!And thanks for fixing the buzzzzzing i noticed that early in the video and thought did i hear that right..
Our please and glad you like it!
These samples don't disappoint! Coincidentally, I preordered my three Seaboard System B36-7s ten months ago today. Please don't make me wait much longer.
Production begins in March and we expect them all to ship in the summer/fall. Based on current orders, this production run is going to be huge so it will take longer than usual to make them.
What Beautiful locomotive
Beee-ewty!
Yes! that sounds much better, and will you make a video on the cpr ten wheeler?
Eventually, yes.
Awesome model! Santa Fe is my favorite railroad, and I love the older GE's. I think you guys should make some C40-8 standard cabs, C44-9W's, and Tier 3 GEVo's and ACe's. I'd love to see those models come out of Rapido (or at least one of those).
Thanks! There are more GEs for us to do, that's for sure.
Looks good guys! Oh how I'm itching to see the completed SP version!
I doubt we'll get a sample until we're well into production, but we promise it will look amazing!
Indeed it will! #OscitrolHype
I preorder a Minnesota Commercial. Can't wait!
Beauty! Thanks!
Awesome! I like the TTI variant seeing as it was a railroad that ran by the family farm. I also notice you used LumaFusion to edit this video, I use that app as well. It works great! As always, keep up the great work with your models.
Glad you like it!
Looks great! FYI ~ The Santa Fe unit will have the blue anti-glare on top of the nose. Rapido already responded to my email :)
Happy to be of service!
Haven't had a chance to pick these up yet but I sure have the BC Rail units bookmarked! Will you guys be doing other BC Rail prototypes or more steam locos by any chance? Would love to see a few of the big articulated or something like the CP cab forward project that never actually built but was drawn up.
We do indeed plan for more BCR stuff in future.
I cannot wait to get a pair in Conrail colors sometime later this year! I am very excited! Thank you so much for these guys and the flexi-flo hoppers
Our pleasure! Official Flexi-Flo announcement coming very soon.
That would be a complete revolution if you made a GF6C. In the BCRail colors. The only one apparently runs, it just needs the adequate voltage. Possibly sounds can be recorded.
We wish there could be enough demand for that...
Oh man I wish you guys made O scale trains.
Maybe one day!
I would like to buy a sd 40 2 in Illinois Central Gulf orange and white along with some sw 1200 in same colors
Beautiful model, I was thinking about getting this, but I got a FA instead, love your work!
You can have both! :-D
I wish, all your models are good, I got an FA from a train show and it was awesome, so I got another to match.
Please tell me there’ll eventually be a 1990s version of the SP B36-7 with that Stratolite!
We'll be doing many, many more. Have no fear!
rapidotrains will the Stratolites be available separately?
That's a great idea! We'll look into it.
@@rapidotrains I second the motion put forth by hunter dawso to have the Stratolite available separately.
Yes., and while you are at it how about one in Cotton Belt lettering
Loved the long pacing shot from the drone. Did you take a drone to NAPM or did they have their own drone and pilot?
Nice work all around. Sound and lights on the model are fantastic.
Thanks for the kind words!
Awesome!!!! The Conrail looks amazing! What about an N-Scale???
Maybe one day!
That would make our day!!!
Looks great! What about O Scale? 😂😁😂
I like Rapido (good quality), but their prices are a bit high in comparison to competition.
I'm probably not the first person to ask this, but are you guys going to do a C30-7/C36-7?
Maybe one day!
ANy chance tht stratolight becon will gt old seperately as a detail prt prewired? I have a Dash 8/9/SD70ACe and two GP38-2's that woud look great with those.
That's the plan! Sign up for our newsletter to keep informed: tinyurl.com/RapidoTrains-Signup
@@rapidotrainsAwesome Sauce! I just got your D Itch lights installed on my road units, now I"m waiting for thw Stratolights, honestly I think I might put one on my F-Unit project it's tht amazing
why is it that Gareth sounds just like UK TV chef Tom Kerridge? Are you two related by any chance? Looking forward to my SP loco! (as well as my RS11).
Gareth, met ya at Milwaukee ‘18. Did the Budd double deck commuter cars go anywhere? I love this B36-7, just trying to find a reason for one
There is always a reason for a B36!
I have a question on the Conrail are the red marker lights front and rear Will they be operational. Conrail was big on using those red markers and especially on helper locomotives. With the headlight in the Dim mode. and the red marker lights is how they ran them through Pennsylvania through horseshoe curve.
They do indeed work.
rapidotrains, Thank you for the reply. That’s great news that the red markers or be functional because most model makers don’t I guess you’re the best company around thank you
I have one of the csx b36-7 units. I love it!! But I can not get the front headlights to shine for whatever reason
Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your B36-7. Please send an email to our warranty department using the contact form below and they will help you out: rapidotrains.com/contact-us
So amazing thanks for the sneak peak but is rapido ever going to do the p40s
Probably not. Athearn has it covered.
@@rapidotrains athearn is making a new version?
Not that we know of, but they've got most of the tooling already.
@@rapidotrains thx so much great vid btw
howcome the conrail has no roof detail?
There are a couple of bits a pieces missing from this locomotive. The only thing that is missing from the cab roof is the Sinclair antenna and this will be installed on the production model Similarly the roof of the long hood will get a horn while the EOTD antenna will be in the polybag.
The models look ok, but who,s sound are you using? From what I can hear at home, they sound like U-25Cs.......need a latter FDL-16, plus they have exhaust silencers.
ESU recorded TTI and Minnesota Commercial and we'll be using the best of those on the final product.
What music is that at the start of the video? Sure sounds like Tom Scholz guitar tone. Please do tell. Also, the GE B36-7 is beautiful. I would expect nothing less from Rapido. Now, PLEASE make one in N scale as well.
Ok, I just saw the music credits at the end. He must be a Boston fan.
Isn't it a great song? It's called "Classic Rocking."
That is a very beautiful model you got there. But, what are you going to do for the N scale crowd? It is almost as though manufacturers are afraid to produce quality and the variety of locomotive for N scale.
We have a lot of N scale models in production, but most are Canadian. Visit our web site for more info.
Looking good! Not too fond of the U25C sounds though, eh?
ESU recorded TTI and Minnesota Commercial and we'll be using the best of those on the final product.
One day I’d love to see someone get the walkway lights on the southern to actually light up. I don’t know if it will ever happen or even can happen
That would be really hard from a manufacturing perspective but I am sure somebody will modify our model to get them to work!
rapidotrains i would agree.
I have a couple southerns on pre order. So I’m going to give it a shot and see how it pans out.
When will the SP version be out?
They should all be out this year.
When can we expect U boats for CSX in N scale
No plans any time soon but you never know.
rapidotrains ok thanks
I WANT HO SCALE ONR GONDOLAS!!!!
N SCALE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! I have to have this in Rapido Quality
No plans at present, but we have other N scale announcements coming in June.
@@rapidotrains Thanks for the reply! I'm going to have to switch scales and go to HO so I can get all your wonderful loco's. Ever since I've started studying you guys, I don't care for any other MFG.
but i grew up in northern ontario
