Jamez The first time i heard of Jason and the Scorchers was in the Wildhearts song 29 x the pain, iv been meaning to check them out but forgot about it till i saw you comment (and that was about 20 years ago.haha)
Yes they were,, they should've been up there with Motley Crew and Guns and Roses and White Snake,, it all in who you know and at the right place at the right time seriously,,
@adriannarobeson4758 It is most unfortunate , but their record company (Atlantic , I think) chose not to promote them . Most likely drugged out egotistical record executives responsible for that one . What a shame . Because , we know what the World missed . 🧨
There truly weren't many bands that took their careers in music as serious as Kix did, and its a damn shame they have never received the status they deserve in the rock and roll world.
Yep, I saw them on Memorial Day 2018 in Herrin, Illinois (with Slaughter and Queensryche) and Steve was all over the place like being 60+ didn't mean a thing. They did the entire Blow My Fuse album in its entirety (plus "Girl Money").
Us boomers knew how to jamm and have a good time,, I remember Kixs when they played at Hammerjacks in Baltimore New Year's Eve 86-87 the biggest rock nightclub on the East Coast back in the 80s the place was wall to wall people,,
Incredible how faithful they are to the studio recordings - all the awesome little touches are in there, every exclamation, every pick-scratch, every detail. These are real artists of rock performance, fantastic craftsmen
Totally agree Jeddak ive seen them 3 times in my life and they were all in the late 80s very early 90s..absolutely flawless shows , like you said every little piece of the songs were present and accounted for in the live show.. i would dare to say damn close to perfect even with the subtle imperfections which is TRUE ROCK N ROLL TO BEGIN WITH...
Agree. Saw them at the Great Mills amphitheater in the 80s and also at Hammerjacks back in the day. They killed it each time. One of the best and very underrated rock bands of that era. This was nine years ago and they are still kicking a**!
It’s absolutely true and being an east coast kid Kix as a club band in the mid to later 80s? Couldn’t touch them. Saw them last year. Haven’t lost a thing.
Fantastic live band! These guys paid dues like there was no tomorrow! I have nothing but the utmost respect for this band. If you see this band 1 time live, you will be floored by how tight they, are and the energy they create. Thanks for adding this!

Steve's voice is still amazing! I put him up there with Michael Sweet, Miljenko Matijevic, Mike Howe and Sammy Hagar ....their voices are just as strong today as they were in the 30 years ago.
Saw this awesome band several times at the Metron in Harrisburg, PA. Snagged several set lists, too, and had them displayed in my dorm room way back when.
Mountain View! I heard that's where they started out, as it was shouted out during their early performances around Maryland. Seen them at least 15 times, and they were banging guitars as 'The Generators' or 'The Shoez' when I first saw them in the late 70's, and they haven't stopped high-energy rocking since! Steve is probably the funniest frontman I've ever heard, and this guitar duo has awesome talent; as they play with synchronicity, then one takes the lead, and it goes back-n-forth with great alternating leads from both players! You can't help but dance or headbang when you're jamming live to KIX! I highly recommend seeing them if have a chance!
Maryland was an awesome place to be a teenager in the 80's. KIX came down from Hagerstown to Pasadena and Baltimore all the time. We had Crack The Sky too and bars like Hammerjacks in B'more and The Network Pasadena. Bongs, Beer and metal. Life was good
I saw them at Rocklahoma 2023, front row. They were still one of the most badass powerhouses in Rock & Roll. They came out, kicked our asses, and left us wanting more! Made a big impression on this 17 year old! That's Rock & Roll!!!
A dream finally came true. I saw them at The Rams Head this past Saturday 9/14/19. Same energy, same sound, basically the same look as always. Best show I've been to in a long long time. Been a fan since 1983.
LOVE IT!! I grew up in MD and have always been hooked on KIX They would come down to Florida in the 90's and I would drag all my buddies to the show and we'd be about the only ones there...lol But my friends fell in love with them!! Steve Whiteman is about the best frontman ever. How can you not be entertained!!!
Saw them at Hampton Rhodes in VA opening for Whitesnake on the Slip of the Tongue tour(90’). Steve had his full belt harmonica holster and that was the first time I heard a harp through an arena P.A. and he/they were on POINT!!!! ‘For Shame’ was incredible live. Total professionals.
I must say this. Kix is one of the most honest rock bands ever. Sure they handle all cliche´s, but they have mixed those so well that it sounds and looks something quite original and .......safe at the same time. Hail Rock, Hail Kix......
LOL! Me too! Mark the bass player produced this....Its probably the BEST concert quality wise KIX has out.....Have you seen this? ua-cam.com/video/JG4u4-sgIG4/v-deo.html
have seen this band live for decades more often than any band EVER...not one disappointing show...Professional as f*ck and I dare anyone not to have FUN at a KIX SHOW!
"Don't close your eyes" is probably the best anti-suicide song ever. The feel of the music and the compassion in the lyrics, I think it's their best song.
Thanks for posting this!! KIX has never sounded better!! I was lucky enough to have met them a few times back in the early 90's when the sound and lighting company I worked for here in Md. was hired to provide stage lighting, P.A. system and monitors for a few of their shows and at the old Paragon club in College Park Md.
I see these dudes play at Rocky Gap Resort with Great White. My thinking was Great White would of out played them but, Stop the Press everybody. These guys just kicked Ass from Start to Finish. I don’t understand why these guys weren’t bigger than they are now. They are Big most everywhere they go. Maryland should be proud of Steve and company. These dudes play Rock & Roll all night long. Rockers all the way. Great show at Rocky Gap Kix. Great Show.
I saw them when they were called the snooze at a little bar in smithburg md called Mountain View.. good times and great memories. I'm 55 and still a big fan.. 😀
I was never a huge Kix fan but had chance to see them, they were incredible live. Didn’t know many songs but it was such a entertaining performance, definitely will see them again...the cereal isn’t bad either 😆.
i grew up with this band they wher and still are one of my favorite bands Steve Whitemen lives 2 streets from me in Hagerstown MD awesome guy to talk with
I always saw them at Hammerjacks,, the biggest rock nightclub on the East Coast back in the 80s it was the 54 of that decade except it was in Baltimore instead of New York and M&T Bank Stadium 🏟 home of the Ravens resides there now where Hammerjacks uses to be right off of I-95 & Martin Luther King Blvd 395,, ahh those were the day's I met my husband at Hammerjacks back in 87 who use to come up there from D C.,,
OMG, THANK YOU!!! This reminds me of HAMMERJACKS where I live in BALTIMORE! BTW, Hammerjacks will re-open in 2017, after 20 years or more after it closed it;s doors!!! Steve and the Boyz ALWAYS played there, and they were SO cool hanging out with the crowd before and after the Shows, ESPECIALLY the After-parties!!! THESE GUYS ARE what put Baltimore on the Heavy Metal Maps!!! So good to hear and see you guys again!!!
I grew up in Sweden in the 90s with KIX through a handed-down cassette from my brother. I really appreciate a variety of different music and genre, but hair metal will always just hit different for me. I got to see them play at the House of Blues in LA in 2010, and it just blew me away how insanely good Steve's voice sounded and how tight they played. This band is incredibly underrated. I wish more people got to hear them, especially when you have bands such as GnR still playing the biggest festivals around the world and just sounding absolutely horrendous. Keep rocking, KIX 🤘
These guys are great, started doing live shows before there albums were even known. Thanks for putting this up, i remember them as a senior in high school back in 81.
Just wondering where you went to HS? An old friend of mine said Steve lived in Woodbridge Va., at one point, growing up(Marumsco Hills or Woods, to be exact), & they were pretty tight friends, so they used to stay at his place whenever they were in town.. just wondering if he was totally full of sh¡t or not?lol I grew up in N. Va, Woodbridge area too, never saw em play there, but many many times in Atlantic Beach NC! Best live show EVER!
One of the all time greats from Maryland. I have seen these dudes several times and they never disappoint you. I love these guys. I can’t wait to see them again at Rocky Gap Resort. Rockers all the way.
OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Absolutely fukin amazing !!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ .love to see them LIVE..HOTWIRE is one of my fav albums of all time..they sound incredible LIVE❤❤❤❤
I only got to see Kix once. When Midnight Dynamite came out, I was fortunate enough to have seen them at L'amour in Brooklyn NY, and it was a flawless show.
This is AWESOME!!! To you 8 thumbs down...you don't get it do you! Or, maybe you are just trolls! (I.E. LOSERS). KIX is all about positive kick-ass ROCK AND ROLL!!! The new album 'Rock Your Face Off' is FANTASTIC and their second-highest charting album ever...right behind 'Blow My Fuse'!!! I am so happy for them. I know Steve Whiteman fairly well as I worked at 98 Rock from '93-'95. I remember THE song when I started there was the live version of "For Shame" from 'KIX Live'. Thank you Russ Mottla! Then later, I worked at Thunderdome. Many many Funny Money shows and the FIRST KIX reunion in December of 2003! Two more followed at Thunderdome. Amazing shows, great times...and still a PHENOMENAL band!!!
Hi Sean! I agree and next time I see him I will tell him! Ha! The new album ''ROCK YOUR FACE OFF' is FANTASTIC though! Probably the last album they will do. To me...it is a bit of the first album, 'Blow My Fuse' and 'Hot Wire' combined into one! Go purchase it and trust me! :)
Kix are for kids! Best times of my life at Hammerjacks and the many shows by the BEST front man around!
Kix Fucking Rocks! One of the most underrated and exposed bands ever!

There truly weren't many bands that took their careers in music as serious as Kix did, and its a damn shame they have never received the status they deserve in the rock and roll world.
They were a good time with a few minor hits, but their lyrics are very basic and they were never top rung.
They were a top club band, got big enough for Gold Records- sounds like revisionist history / woe is any band not on the Mount Rushmore of their genre
@@A1Authority 🤡💩
They had one of the WORST managemnt companies, hence why they didnt make it bigger than they did!
They Rocked better than half that got it BIG!!! THEY ROCKED, Mgt n the industry Did Them Wrong... I was there, they got screwed by industry...
This man is 60 yrs young, he can out rock any 20 yr old off the stage. They all still ROCK like the 80s!!!!!!

I will so miss seeing this band live. Thanks for the years and years of rock and roll🤘
Absolutely one of the greatest Rock/Metal bands ever.
Steve is a great frontman.
Dudes got unlimited energy & incredible stage presence
#KixRules
Well they really weren't metal. Maybe hard rock at best, but definitely not metal.
Steve is a brutally underrated front man.
Got that right bro I just wish I Could see the man alive. 30 years a wish
It’s absolutely true and being an east coast kid Kix as a club band in the mid to later 80s? Couldn’t touch them. Saw them last year. Haven’t lost a thing.
Dale Benjamin this i never heard....that’s a huge compliment to Stevie
He is fantastic. Early 90s , 2020s... doesn't matter. He's got *it*
You fam right he is
Jesus. Steve looks and sounds same as he did as when he was 25!!! Simply unbelievable. He and Sammy Hagar are truly blessed.

In the style that this dude sings you would think he would have lost some clarity in his voice, but he sounds AWESOME!

These guys should do a halftime show for the super bowl so much energy
The Super Bowl does not have rock bands anymore, they feature crap music now.
These dudes are rockers all the way. Rockers. Steve is a great frontman. Kix Kicks Ass.
Still in love I guess you can never forget the greatest hits and the greatest memories ❤
One of my all time favorite bands. Lucky enough to see them twice back in the day.
Awesome!!! Forever one of my FAV LIVE BANDS!! f'kn Professionals!
I haven't seen these guys since Blow My Fuse tour. This video is awesome
One of my favorite bands throughout the 80's. So fantastic in music talent.
I just love Steve and the guys in @KIX...one of my favorite bands to see Live, even after 40+ years they still Bring it!! 💜🤘🎵🎸🎤
Yep, I think I will spend all Christmas day today listening KIX!!! 💥🤘🔥💃
One of the all time greats from Maryland. I have seen these dudes several times and they never disappoint you. I love these guys. I can’t wait to see them again at Rocky Gap Resort. Rockers all the way.

I remember seeing KIX At La'mours in Brooklyn back in the 80's and at the Cat Club in NYC. Great band, always had a blast at there shows.
RadioTodd Tell steve to start making more "HotWire" records again and stop making shit "Show Business" crap albums one after another...
Love KIX! Thanks for sharing.
