when i watch your videos, i always wonder to myself, how possible would it be to make these models work for real; it looks so cool, imagine it moving by itself
Thank you! For this and future videos, I am recording the vocals with my microphone then passing it through a filter so that it sounds like a fictional person. This way, I can have different narrations per series or even multiple people conversing in the future! While voice acting sounds fun, my focus is currently on crafting and video editing so I'll have to sit on that adventure for a while. I'd love to learn how to change my idiolect or speak with different accents but there's only so much time in a day!
@@proto.roborovski The scripting itself is great, but the AI voice is quite uncanny valley and takes away from the overall production IMO. Aside from that i do have a personal distaste for AI voice generators when there are so many talented VA's out there. Or hell, give it a shot yourself!
@@strato991 I am not a VA and I also can’t really change my voice per narrative, which is a reason I utilize different AI vocals. If I could work with a VA efficiently and for essentially free I would, but they would also need to change their voice each series. I am always trying to adjust the voice to sound less uncanny but I also prefer the way it adds inflections versus how I speak monotone. I’ll keep looking into ways to make it less uncanny, including trying recording myself with voice filters.
@@proto.roborovski I can understand finance as a limiting factor. Voice Models that imitate real humans are pretty morally bankrupt in my opinion, so perhaps lean into the robotic style of them, maybe a sort of "computer playback of the engineering log" sorta deal.
Well done sir. I'm sure you have full support of your company at your back.
@@andrewhull7296 thank you, I sure do! 😁
Those little toothpicks look VERY useful!
@@krzysztofmathews738 yes! I just got them and I love that they have flat sides but also cylindrical piston shapes!

Good video, good robot. Keep going bro!

Fantastic work. Are you using voice software or is this you? If so, you should look into voice acting!

very nice! looks kinda like a gundam model. are you going to add a head? cant wait for the next episode!
@@leonardofalaschi5110 thank you! I prefer mechs that don’t have humanoid heads and I’ll instead add more details to sensors along the front.
Great stuff! my only gripe would be if that is an AI voice. the mech itself is great though!
@@strato991 thank you! How would you suggest improving on the narration?
