Ngl, Kulta’s mask would work well for a Terminator MOC too imo.

Definitely my fav G2 set behind The Hunter. Akimu's build is great and the Skull Grinders weapon is awsome.
I like to use the Mask of Creation by turning it upside down and having the crown look like teeth !
I remember getting this set in discount when G2 was being taken down, I loved I finally got "the big one", from one wave and overall the set is amazing.
I think these as "the peak", of each band, as both figures have the gear funtion.

Kulta’s mask gives me General Grievous or Darth Vader vibes…
When I tell you I was so obsessed with this wave, and this set, absolutely amazing memories
I still remember getting this set along with that ant-man set, always loved it. That Skull Valkyrie moc if I remember correctly was actually a custom combiner model, goes to show that the official combiner models released over the years could’ve been so much better than what we got, might make for a fun inspiration series topic.
I got all the villains of that wave except scull grinder always wanted him

@@soccerandtrack10 In the MOCing community, Purism refers to only using LEGO parts with no modifications. No clone brands, no third party pieces or additional materials, no painting, cutting or gluing, etc., just the vanilla parts that are provided by LEGO (or any product sanctioned by LEGO, so this can sometimes include gear and packaging materials). A Purist is then a builder who adheres to that philosophy with MOCs.
The whole idea is to be able to use the limitations of LEGO to still achieve your goals. Modding or additional materials is kind of seen as cheating or disregarding the whole point of LEGO, which is to build, descontruct, and remake whatever you want using the pieces however you have.
That Ekimu MOC kind of feels like it's always going to be together though, and it was done in such a masterful way that it's transcended being a LEGO MOC and more a traditional piece of narrative sculpture, so I can't be upset that someone did this to their build.
It kinda makes me sad seeing such a good set in retrospect after the fallout of both Bionicle and CCBS as a whole.
I love that they stopped making bionicle but people still make amazing mocs with the pieces

This was my first set I bought during 2015.
Kulta is a funny name to me, since in my mother's tongue it means gold and/or darling/honey 😂 fitting name for a tough bad guy
It’s really funny to see you talk about this set, i was looking for bionicle g2 sets last night! I’ve been meaning to pick up some for the coloured bones and unique armour.
Maybe you could talk about some more G2 stuff? It’s personally some of my fav stuff from constraction
I'm very keen to keep talking about them. I plan to at some point discuss every G2 set (And Ideally every bionicle set... in time) But yeah more G2 stuff will ideally come very soon :)
I used the weapon pieces for some cool Archangel MOCs, they make very nice wings

That MOC named The Golden reminds me of a MOC I made not too long ago, called it The Golden Traitor, though I am yet to submit it, I have a bunch of pictures of it, it's a sort of titan, pretty good for what I can do I'd say
though I want to first do a little video review on it myself (I could give that as the social media link when I do the email after)
And ALSO, this reminds me of that video on the skull villains that you did, I really want to try and do that mohawk hair style with those Chima wing pieces (I have the ones in blue with Vardy though, though, I probably like that better)

I'm kinda surprised you didn't mention the combiner which I think is actually pretty good
I plan on using the mask of creation as a magicians mask in my golden knights order, I'm just a little stuck on the design at the moment

Every day I kick myself for buying ONUA INSTEAD OF UMERAK. Could have gotten the mask of control, instead I now have 2 onuas. Now if I want umerak or this set I have to pay a fortune.

I got into lego around the time BIONICLE g2 was released but I missed out on all of the sets because I was only into Star Wars, and I even had one in my hand, now the sets ant cheap! ps can you do a collection walk through, unless you've done that allready
I've done this which is essentially a collection walkthrough. (Although I suppose a collectible walkthrough would go into more detail on all the sets I own, which this focuses more on parts and MOCs, but this is essentially what you're asking for :) Enjoy!)

..Are we sure that Ekimu is a "beloved character"? I don't recall the reception to him, as a character, being anything more than lukewarm.
I hated g2 story wise but I ain’t gonna lie some of the sets and new peices were pretty sick
