My brother in law was one of the medics at the Bridgestone Show and not only did you set a record with attendance but he told me that you guys had 0 call ins for people needing medical attention, which according to him has never happened! I told him that is exactly why I like this group so much. You guys bring to the table what most of the entertainment industry is lacking. Good. Clean. Fun.
    Keep it going folks!

I’ve been in the pediatric icu with my 5 year old son the past week and a half. He’s on the mend and we will be sent home soon. I’ve been spending the days with him and my husband spends the nights with him. We have an 8 month old at home as well. It’s been such a challenging, scary time. I’ve been listening to you guys during my hours spent at the hospital and I want to thank you for the comedic relief. It feels like I’m hanging out with my fun dude friends and laughing hard feels so good during this time. I’m also a HUGE Seinfeld fan, seen every episode 100 times and love all the ways you throw it in the podcast.
    Thanks guys.
Here’s to feelin good all the time!

The cereal conversation was absolutely gold. Any chance we can get a full episode about cereal which wraps with a cereal mascot bracket?
Nate upset Breakfast mentioning cereal then getting upset when he tried to move on, is why I will always support this podcast.

To get SO excited about an episode covering my state, only to talk about what Celebs are from here, how to redesign one of the most infamous stadiums in all of sports, painfully mispronounce Chaldean, the Packard Plant (I think Nate was thinking Central Station which is owned and being renovated by Ford now)....but mostly cereal is *chefs kiss* peak Nateland content.

I’m from Wichita KS and I’d like to say, we also hate the name WindSurge. About four times a year the team plays in alternate jerseys that bring awareness to the Hispanic culture. The mascot on those nights is “Tumba Vacas” and the shirts have a cow laying on its back. I asked what Tumba Vacas translates to and the lady said “Cow tipping”. Put all that together and we’re the farting cows.

I've been a 'Folk' from the very first episode, and I've seen SO MANY INACCURACIES (and loved them all). But of all the things that this show has been wrong about, nothing has upset me more than the Saved by the Bell talk in this episode. The beginning of Saved by the Bell was called Good Morning Miss Bliss, which was the name of their teacher. It was Zack and the crew in 8th grade and it was set in Indiana. The only people from the main show were Zack, Screech, Lisa, and Mr. Belding.

  • @PaulAntoni0

It was absolutely magical how the crew handled Aaron's question "Is there any archaeological evidence that there was a massive flood". As a pro-flooder, I was eager for a torrent of emotion to erupt from Mr. Slay. Instead all we got was 3 dudes going "I think so" and moving on. Well done everyone on suppressing Aaron's foolish attempt at trying to turn this into a serious podcast. Save that passion for the Animal Bracket.

When I was teaching my daughter to drive several years ago, we took a long 12 hour drive up to Michigan where I grew up. I was loving the Dad/Daughter time, teaching her all the lessons of the road. We stopped at a rest stop, and about 50 Harley bikers followed us in. We were doing different stretches. Leg stretches, body stretches, when from behind us, I hear a guy yell, "LIFT UP YOUR ARMS!". Yikes, we're getting mugged, I thought. I told my daughter to stay calm, and don't make any sudden moves. We're in a public place, in broad daylight, we'll be fine. But as soon as you get a chance, run. I slowly turned around, and I was reminded that Michigan people are some of the friendliest folks on the planet. The guy yelling at us a big, burly biker, standing with one leg bent like a flamingo, and both his arms up in the air, stretching. "Lift up your arms like this, feels great!" He just wanted to share his favorite stretching move. Whew, close one.

Woke up this morning to the anxiously awaited notification, as I do every week, and to see _Michigan_ as the title has me even more excited than usual!!
The beloved pod is on at bedtime every night to fall asleep to. Your low voices and mildly engaging conversation allows me to be only as attentive as my exhaustion will allow. The next night, I pick up where I last remember hearing something, or back further so as not to miss anything. When I'm sleepless in the middle of the night, I hit replay and I'm snoozing again in almost no time. I understand that this may not sound like a compliment... please _know that IT IS!!_

I got to spend time with him before he passed and he always had raisin brand at his house. I wanted to share something with you. There is one highlight in your hysterical repertoire that transcends your catalog. Your sixth sense joke. That joke is earth shaking. That joke is absolutely hysterical on the outside and on the inside it wreaks total havoc. It reminds me of an MC Escher pen and ink. I see it, I understand it. Just finished the pranks episode. For our senior prank, me and 4 of my buddies let 2 goats loose inside the high school. Before we turned them loose, we spray painted the number 1 on one of them and the number 3 on the other. The next morning, they spent about 3 hours looking for goat number 2. Our principal kept hollering “Heeyyy Goat”! Was quite entertaining to watch. They found out who did it and called us all into the office. They became quite furious, when we each told them separately, that we did not know where goat number 2 was. We ended up getting detentions. Totally worth it!

Michigan is called the wolverine state because back during the large fur market days, trappers from Canada would bring the wolverine pelts to the fur markets in Michigan to sell them. So michigan became the wolverine state because that’s where you went to get a wolverine pelt.

I’m sure people have already commented on this, but I think the show Dusty’s talking about that was a precursor to Saved by the Bell was “Good Morning, Miss Bliss” and started in their middle school years. Zach, Screech, and Lisa were OG and the cast also included Hayley Mills (Breakfast should known who that is) as Miss Bliss. Saved by the Bell is the quintessential cusp-millennial show! 35-40 yr olds please stand up! “We’ll be Friends Forever…” 1:56:56

She had a gig at The Grand Hotel (or the White House as Aaron called it) on Mackinac Island at a weekend Marriage Retreat so I signed up so I could see her. At the Registration table they asked us how we heard about the conference and I said Oh I’m not here for the conference I just came to see Leanne. The first season of anything featuring Zach Morris was “Good Morning, Miss Bliss” and is why you won’t find it as the first season of “Saved by the Bell.” The whole show was launched as a vehicle for Hayley Mills the former Disney child actress. Instead, the kids stole the show and they relaunched, dropping Mills, featuring the kids in the following seasons and the rest is history.

Traverse City native here. Very cool to hear my hometown mentioned! I have listened to every episode since day one. A note on the pronunciation: it’s very subtle, but it is said like one continuous word “travercity.” Basically combine the “s” at the end of traverse and the “c” at the beginning of city. Also if you really want to be local, you can just call it TC. Hopefully this is confusing for Nate to read 😅

A couple of years ago my husband and I attended a wedding pretty near South Bend so we intentionally made plans to spend an extra day to explore. We explored Notre Dame. It is a beautiful campus, Aaron. We went on to take down the 3 Dune Challenge at Indiana Dunes National park along Lake Michigan. 😛😰 Then we went into New Buffalo Michigan to eat a classic burger at the famous Redamak’s so I could officially say I have at least visited my neighboring state of 40 years. King Vitamin was a big part of my childhood. That was the cereal we got for free when we were on welfare when I was a kid. Then my parents slightly got their act together, and we started to buy the off-brand cereal in a bag. Eventually we hit it big as a family, and started to buy named brand cereal in boxes like rich folks. To be honest, I could never really tell the difference. Best part is listening to Dusty tell Bald Eagle that he can miss his uncle because he’s not getting paid by the job, when don’t comedians literally get paid by the job? This is why we all keep coming back so keep up the good work. Aaron if you need to use that Notre Dame education to explain why it’s funny we are all here for that too.

When they do your state it's the best and the worst. When they did Rhode Island I was so excited and it was fun to see them react to some things unique to our state. But they ended up talking about some monument about an old elephant that no one has ever heard of most of the time. They also talked about old sports teams RI used to have but didn't even mention we currently have the Providence Bruins, the team directly under the Boston Bruins. So frustrating, but completely on brand and why we listen 😂

I can agree with Nate on Frosted Flakes being aged out. I created a work place argument by saying that Spaghetti was on the way out because you don't hear about it. Nobody ever recommends the spaghetti from any restaurant, nobody says they have amazing spaghetti recipe you have to try, and I've never heard anyone say "I sure could go for a bowl of spaghetti right now." This was also the argument that I realized pasta and spaghetti are not two separate categories, so that might be where I lost all credibility. Love the podcast, let's geaux folks!

You guys mentioned that the Bible says not to swear on a recent episode. That’s in Matthew. Immediately after telling us not to swear it says to “let your yes be yes and your no be no”.
Now when my wife thinks I’m joking or messing with her, she makes me say, “let my yes be yes”. She then knows I’m telling the truth. The great thing is, I’ve learned that i can say “let my yes , B.S.” and she can’t differentiate between the two. I’m brilliant.
Keep up the great work, guys!
PS Nate, I’m the emcee/magician that hosts Jason Day’s BrighterDays event. The guy whose wife told John Crist that he had to work on his humility. Sorry for that awkwardness.
PSS Sorry to use the word “differentiate” earlier. I’m assuming you had trouble with it.

Lived in Michigan all 44 years of my life. It gets a bad rep, from public opinion of Detroit, Flint water, politics or 'weather'.
There's nothing quite like summer in Michigan. Go north. Keep going north. Enjoy it all the way. Traverse City. The Bridge. Mackinac city and St Ignace. The Island. Taquamenon falls upper and lower. Soo locks. Paradise. Whitefish point. Pictured rock. ENJOY !!!

So when you have this meal with Ben Franklin be sure to ask him if he knew an Emu had a pouch which apparently can hold a gun. Your dedication to the Emu with a gun conversion still makes me laugh every time I get the mental image. Your theory on how he would shoot it and so on … Brilliant

Michigan is like the south except surrounded by beautiful salt-free waters & sand dunes in many areas plus more comfortable weather in 3 seasons but frigid cold of winter. Affordable housing and (outside of a few cities) low crime rate. Small percentage of our population lives in the UP. I live on Lake MI sandy beach shores on west side-beautiful sunsets over what looks like an ocean. 1st time Visitors are usually astonished 😊 ✋

The Ben Franklin interview! It needs to be a bit where Aaron pretends to be a historical figure and the other three interview him. I'm guessing 1 of 3 might believe they talked to the real person. "Hey remember that time we interviewed Queen Victoria III?"

Think it would be cool to do an episode on the NFL draft since draft weekend is here! Y’all could talk about Tennessee Titan picks. Saw some Notre Dame boys get drafted. Could go through the history and talk about people like Tom Brady who were drafted in wayyy later rounds, but became Mega Stars. Just a thought think it would be interesting! Good day Folks!
