Love seeing you get into these reds man! Awesome to see you trying new things and it paying off! You’ve made such a versatile lure so thank you for that ❤
The only size to use is tbe 5". Holds plenty of PB's for me as well as top finishes in Flathead comps. Just need more of a colour run each month, Mooloolaba Prawn hint hint 😅
Hey mate, do you ever cut slits in the back of the smaller swimprawns or do you only use that technique for the 5”? Definitely looking forward to part 2, especially if there’s going to be barra involved.
Hi James thanks for the video have a pack of 5” which I’ve only used once as you said it’s such a stark change from a 3”. Will definitely give them another go. Did manage a couple of nice flatties on the 3” jelly this morning. Thanks again for what you do so well 👍
I would say it was both for session 1, building tides to the moon, moon set and run out tide in the morning, everything can line up but it can still be hard finding where the fish want to feed
As he described at the start it was a combo of things. New and full moon = bigger tides. Bigger tides = fish more likely to school and feed. Also prawns are more active around the new moon. He was fishing the last 2h of the run out tide around sunrise aswell, pretty much perfect conditions!
@@grimreaper6112Keep telling yourself that mate, any fisherman worth his salt will tell you there is always a pattern. It's not always the same and it changes depending on species and system, but they all have things that turn them on and off. They aren't just floating around eating everything and anything all the time.
Definitely agree, for me heavier braid on the big BC is not just for breaking strain but also ease of getting wind knots and birds nests out, I find the heavier braid doesn’t really decrease the casting distance on heavy lures either. Also, if I hook something like a big Barra or grouper I’ll be confident to swing off of the set up and keep them out of structure and away from sharks
Awesome video mate 🎣
Thanks mate!
Make this a series with all your lures

Hey mate, normally only with the 5” but always worth experimenting if the bite gets tough

Good stuff mate! Yea the 5” is a very large profile, fish have to be in the mood and big enough to eat it but fished at the right times can be amazing
Great session ...The bite window was it tide related or moon ?

@@Seids_89 Got to love the experts fish have been doing there thing for billions of years there is no real paten to what they do.

14:18 Big boof in the background 😆
at 14:19 a large fish tried getting a bird in the background of you talking
50lb braid in a creek is insane lmao your reel or a fish wont even pull 25kg of force

@plopets Who cares if he wants to fish 50lb. The bloke makes a sick vid as well as awesome lures and that’s what you pick up on…..dinga
