Hey James, we passed in the upper section on Saturday Morning in a new renegade, we are looking forward to applying your knowledge and sharing of skill on this fantastic river system,
Love the explanations of the side scan readings, its really helpful. The mic makes a huge difference! especially listening with a good pair of headphones. Would love to see you fish some of the rivers down further south like the Tweed or the Clarence for something different. Another great vid keep them coming!
Hi mate new to the channel but picked up a few packs of swim prawns in various colours and both sizes and a few packs of swim minnows in all colours after watching Johny on my lure box. Love the minnows! Just trying to get the hang of the prawn👍 Great work on it all mate🤙
Great video, was just wondering the reason for pulling your bail over pretty much as soon as the lure hits the water? I see this a lot and was just curious what the rationale was because in my head I want the lure to sink to the bottom so when I’m retrieving it’s coming up diagonally and covering more water (sorry new fisherman)
No that’s good question, fishing deeper water drifting doing a side on cast to the drift I will definitely let more line out, the problem when doing that when are anchored or in my case (spot locked with the electric motor) if you let line out you will lose connection with your lure because the current will be grabbing your slack line and pulling it towards you, it’s super important to have good contact with your lure as it’s hitting the bottom, hope that makes sense.
Bloody awesome stuff, I remember about 5 years ago how well the current line fished for all species including cale , it seems to vary year to year, do you have a theory on why this is mate? Love the vids hope the shoulder is better soon
Unless I’m mistaken, that Daiwa rod was an Infeet Sks or Skeleton Grip newy. Really curious what you thought of it. How is it in the hand and how did it perform? Thinking of saving my pennies for one. Have to buy a pretty big piggy bank I reckon!
Hey James stocked with all the vids that are coming out and really enjoying them I'm a fisho down in the tweed and I target jewys but I'm not sure if they eat crabs here in the tweed, I was wounding if you would have a idea if they do, because I would really like to target them with the crabs?
Awesome video as always, keen for the restock.
