This song is how I met Mr Redbone on a CD my brother gave me... I hit replay many times. Enjoyed his company many times since. Makes great fun out of a road trip. Thank you for this channel.
I have a friend that’s an hardcore rock and roller, I mean he loves all metal music but he always has a spot for Leon Redbone. These walls of rock music albums and this one section of Leon that he plays on a regular basis.
@@alfonzooliver7402 So I guess he meant it when he said I ain't been feeling too goood latley. Apparently his Scotch medicine did not cure his illness! Tooooo bad!!
He could take the work of masters as different as Hank Williams and Jellyroll Morton and make Leon Redbone classics out of them. That's having a strong style of your own.
Leon Redbone's pseudobiography claimed he was swept up in a typhoon off Hong Kong in 1927 while touring the Capitals of the Esoteric East and ended up in the modern age in the mid-1970s. He never broke character. His real name was Dickran Gobalian. His Armenian parents fled to Cyprus (where he was born in 1949), then to London, England and then Canada in the early 1960s. He later legally changed his name to Leon Redbone.

You're Welcome
Nothing better than cruising down the highway having a sing along with Leon!
He had a style all of his own.
I could live the rest of my life on a deserted island with just some Leon Redbone and Mose Allison records and never have a bad day...

Whenever I’m feeling down Leon always lifts me up! Thanks for this channel.
One of my all time favorite performers. He is truly a one in a lifetime.
I sat/stood with my battered sousaphone and re-played this over and over and over until I had the tuba part down by heart.
Love him for his unique sounds. Makes me feel sooo good!!!
One of Best of all time to me. Covering Hank Williams.
I once had the pleasure of singing Harvest Moon for Leon at Chan's in Pawtucket, RI. A Great night!
