Hello great video like always ! I Have a tips if you want : sometimes i damaged the cpu when cleaning it. Now i use preheater for clean cpu with MaAnt SL-1 at 250 degrees and i remove the black pasted with metalic brush and classic brush. I find this more sure. (Sorry for my english). Have a nice day !
You hit the nail on the head when you said that some damage created by techs is just not fixable or proffitable to fix. It is super hard to learn a new skill when youre busy like you said, so repair shop owners and techs need to know when to cut off a repair and send it off to a proffessinal that has the capability to continue the repair. So important.
Great work jesse and great watch as always. Some nice tips as well. Love the little grabber mod for the dc power supply leads, definitely going to get some. I’ve been using foil tape stuck to a bit of card 😂😂 those look like a much better idea. Thanks for the share Jesse.
Nice job, thank you for showing the full process and good tips. Did you have any complaints after this repair with no underfill? Could the cpu be more sensitive to condensation without underfill?
Thank you for the video. I attempted the same reball job this week! It was my first CPU reball. I ended up with a shorted GPU line inside the CPU. Do you think too much heat might have caused that? Or Maybe i damaged if from clamping it in a vice? I used the "IBrush Steel Brush (Qianli)" from mobile sentrix to clean the cpu. Low Melt + Flux + Hot Air + Steel brush to clean the cpu and that worked really well and got everything shiny clean and looked like new. Saw Dr. Ben use this method...
Hi new viewer/fan. I’m trying to upgrade my brothers little repair business . His is very basic setup. I seen your tour video idk if that’s current but if you can make a current shop tour and where to buy everything you got (more depth) that would help so much
have you ever tried to just heat up the CPU without removing it to see if you could possibly liquify and reconnect any suspect connections under the CPU? Seems unlikely to work, but just a thought
I'm still a little to scared to lift a CPU for a repair, I have tried a few times, but I just haven't been able to do it properly and consistently enough to be able to do it to a customers device. As you say, It's very easy to rip the pads on the CPU, Too many times have I done a perfect pull, but in the under fill removal process, I have lost some critical pads. I have seen chemicals out there to loosen the under fill on the CPU. I'm not sure if they work well or not though, as I have not seen anyone use any. I would love to learn about android phones, Not just connector repairs or simple short fixes, But stuff like CPU swaps, UFS, EMMC repair, Using easy jtag or Z3X box for repairing IMEI things like that? Also, side note, Your not old, there's just not been any really good games for mobile in the last 10 years, that's why its still just minecraft, roblox, fortnite etc hahaha
@@VCCBoardRepairs, I have been practicing hard for more than one week but the result is the same. It was 20% of balls in the stencil. Now 10. Maybe next time 0. I will continue to practice.

Iron temperature not mentioned 😂
Mostly because it's the same for everything. 385C

Congrats! I love the improved face/desk cameras. Looks crisp!
I'm glad to hear you noticed! That's like $4k in new cameras 😅

Shiny solder balls!!! Man that was tedious work!!! As always great job sensei!!!
Tell me about it! haha. thanks for watching!
Grande Jesse, sei sempre il migliore! grazie per spiegare sempre anche i più piccoli trucchetti. molti non lo fanno
Thank you! Appreciate the support!
A nice, very thorough explanation of your technique thanks Jesse
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your shiny solder balls Jesse, great work!
Thank you! Cheers!
What temperature (hot melt) liquid solder do you use?
Thank you very much for sharing 👍👍👍
No problem 👍
Good job! Personally I'd always remove the board from housing because the housing just sucks the heat away but great job.
Yeah I get it! I just rather save the 5 minutes lol

Yeah the mini grabber hooks are the best!
Nice job, thank you for showing the full process and good tips.
Did you have any complaints after this repair with no underfill? Could the cpu be more sensitive to condensation without underfill?
It was data recovery only
Great work!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Hi Jesse, CPU glue cleaning looks too difficult for me. Would liquid glue cleaner make the cleaning easier for beginners?
If you can't remove CPU glue, you shouldn't be trying to remove the CPU
thank you for this video
My pleasure

There are so many things that could have gone wrong. no way to know without being there.
My question is what is the use of the underfill, phones do work fine without underfill.. And last a long time without underfill.
so far, so good

Great video. I think this heat and air will be too much for non iPads. Let see until you drop a video on iPhones
Yeah I don't go that high on iPhones
@@VCCBoardRepairs Alright! Waiting for your iPhone Cpu swap video very soon

No, that won't work. You'll destroy it because it's glued down
"We have some reballs" sweater would be hysterical. LOL
How your Atten Performing? Which one is best quick or Atten. Please write your opinion
whats the difference between doing this and replacing a tristar IC chip?
The best way to understand it is to just try it yourself & see if you can get it to turn on after :)
hi jesse.. any update for error 10 .. facing while update or restoring ( working phone) and stuck in error 10.. if have pls share bro..

22:24 soldering iron temperature for PCB cleaning?
My soldering iron is always the same temp, 385C
Nice shiny solder balls there.
Hahah 😂
Sir you use 420 heat air maybe 100 like this are u sure about this heat and air not kill the cpu ❤❤ from nepal
380c air 60 on sugon 8650
nice!

Yeah it takes a lot of practice to get the hang of it. But keep trying & you'll get it!
Did you get the hang of it? I am starting to learn myself I do repairs for a school and have over 100 that need fixed.
It’s impossible to reball a cpu. When I do it, 10% of the balls solder to the stencil. Reballing is stressful. I exactly did what you did.
You need more practice.

Честно говоря дичь, плату неужели так лень достать, проц нормально не почистил...
