I'm sick of the excuses for this guy.
His attitude and character is terrible.
Nobody made those excuses for Justin... They legit crucified Fields in the media saying he can't throw. They jerked off Caleb for a year saying he's a generational talent blah blah blah.
If anyone with objective eyes watched him, knew he wasn't special. Talent isn't everything. You know who else had crazy talent? Antonio Brown.
What happened to him?
How you carry yourself is the most important tool you can have going into the NFL. Caleb paints his nails. Laughs and jokes on the sidelines while getting beat. Talks about himself as if he's the best. Whines, complains. Doesn't really compete. These are all HUGE character issues when it comes to any player let alone the QB.
But y'all were mesmerized by him for no reason.
The same excuses you are giving this guy are the same reasons you booted Justin Fields for... It's pathetic.
So if Justin is a bum, Caleb is a bum.
He cannot read a Defense
lol anybody remember Justin Fields? What kind of punishment did he go through? 😂😂😂😂😂
4th and 1 is literally the “who wants it more” down. Line up, show how bad you want it, move the other guys back and get the yard.
Lol didnt we say this about Bryce? How did that turn out
Fields was arguably in a worse situation lol. Im not a bears fan but it seems to me that the coach is the underlying factor
Exact opposite was said before the season for months, 3 weeks in an everyone making excuses non stop.
Pat is too funny for his own good sometimes. 😂
Before the season, I don’t think anyone considered the fact the Shane Waldron is their OC and the possibility that their slightly below average O-line from last year would regress severely.
Normally teams with high draft picks are not great situations.
caleb couldnt hit the red side of a barn
PFF rated the Bears as a top 10 Oline in pressure rate wins so maybe he’s just holding the ball too long
Dude has 3 number 1 wr and he’s in a bad situation jj been hit in the head to many time
I feel like we've been saying this a lot lately for the past few Bears QBs
The “NAHT LAHD ENAUGH HAUSE”
We Can’t have him break records as a Rookie!😂
These podcasters and were so called analysts last year were saying that Chicago should give up on a 2nd player like Fields to draft Caleb. And people were saying that they were throwing Caleb in the same environment as Fields with the coaches, the offensive line and the staff being the same but they're surprised that Caleb isn't more better!? That's like blaming the water for leaking and not blaming or fixing the pipes.
Counter point: Caleb wanted to run a throw heavy offense like he ran at USC, it gives him more experience and once they ease off it he will be ready as the difficulty comes down
